Textures package as Fireworks extension

Hi, I have a texture collection, witch one I would like to
install into Fireworks , as a extension, is it possible to make a
auto installer? How?
The collection is on my web page:
http://textures.z7server.com/
I have a site with texture packages but only in ZIP format,
For any answer thank you,
Titti

Hey Titti -
Looks like your textures have been packaged here for you by
so1980! :)
http://www.fireworksguruforum.com/index.php?showtopic=7135
Also, the extension is packaged as a MXP file. Very easy to
create once you read the documentation and look at the sample
template:
Thierry created a great article for this very reason:

  • Fireworks Extensions and Vista

In coming here one day, I spotted a link to the kuler
extension for Fireworks CS3. I tried it, but couldn't get it to
work. I had double-clicked on the extension package and the
Extension Manager showed it as being installed, but it didn't show
up in Fireworks anywhere. It's apparently a quirk of Vista.
Rolinstone posted the solution on the:
    Fireworks
    CS3 kuler Extension Blog
I followed Rolinstone's advice: I navigated to the folder
with the Extension Manager .exe, right-clicked on it, and selected
"Run as administrator." For me, the kuler extension showed as
installed, but disabled. I checked the check box, started
Fireworks, and there it was. I think, if I want to install any
other extensions, I will run the Extension Manager as administrator
    from the beginning.
Now, I'm looking forward to experimenting with the kuler
    extension!
    cheers!

    pixlor,
I really like the extension but wish I could login to my
    kuler account
    from it.
    Thanks for the link!

  • ADT packaging with native extensions : permission denied error when running remote build.

    Hi Team,
We are facing the following error when running the nightly ant build script on Mac machine for our air mobile application. We are using iOS native extensions and package with ADT. This works fine when we run the build as local user in the Mac machine. Earlier we faced some issues due to headless build and we have added the <headless-server>true</headless-server> in corresponding config files (flex-config.xml, airmobile-config.xml). After that we are facing the following error, even when we run the ant build in headless mode using the following command.
    ant -Djava.awt.headless=true -f build.xml buildPackage
When running this build as local user in the Mac build machine, we see a window opening with com.adobe.air.ADT while packaging. This is the issue when running nightly build as there is no graphics window.
Can anybody please help how to get rid of this issue for nightly build using adt, jar?

Note: Before the above error that were two other errors .
    1) The build complained that the adt-bundle-linux toolchain could not be found and required that it be added to .mozconfig. This was done.
    2) The build complained that dx could not be found.
The configure file was edited and the values $DX, $AAPT and $AIDL were all set to the adt-bundle-linux/sdk/build-tools/android-4.4 path.
The instructions given on the Mozilla Wiki did not work right for Android and several modifications were made to move it along. But this permission error is tough to figure out.

  • Problems with create package in Fireworks CS4

I have two distinct folders that I'm trying to package and I'm not having any luck. Each has been created on one of my computers that is running Windows Vista. I'm trying to use both Windows 7 Beta (not surprised this wouldn't work) and Windows Server 2008. When I tell Fireworks which files to use, add my digital certificate, then choose Create Package, it seems everything is going well as I do not get an error message but when I look for the newly created package there is nothing. I am getting an XML file in the directory and the product is creating .txt files on my desktop with cryptic info. Anybody know what the issue is? Am I trying to do this on unsupported OS? I would think Win2k8 Server would work.

"When using Select All, through the menu or the keyboard, the marching ants are off by one or two pixels to the right, meaning one or two pixels on the left appear not to be selected, and the right edge of the marching ants is off the keyboard canvas.
Sorry, I meant to say that the marching ants on the right edge of the image are OFF THE CANVAS. The selection can easily be nudged into place with the left arrow."
On my machine I have observed that the All selection is in fact correct...in that the entire image is indeed selected. The problem appears to be that the Window frame is short by 1 pixel when running Open GL. It looks like a Window resizing issue. I discovered that by drag/resizing the Window frame to the right, to expose a portion of the unused grey area border. The entire image could now be seen and showed that all of the image was selected.
Nudging the original selection to the right will only result in deselecting a single pixel vertical strip on the left side of the image.

  • Where can I find the quick install package for EBS extensions for Endeca?

I want to install EBS extension for Oracle Endeca 12.1.3.4.
Where can I find the quick install package in the edelivery.oracle.com site? Which Product Pack should I select in the site?

If you're getting a "This update requires Mac OS X version 10.7" message, than you have the updater and not the full installer. Go to your Purchases section of the Mac App Store and you should see the full version there. But it may be 10.7.5, though in my system is shows as being from 2011 which would appear to be the original version.
As to Mountain Lion, that's supported only on the Early 2008 Mac Pro or newer.
    Regards.

  • How to Package Photoshop Extension for cs4/cs5 with manifest.xml

    Hello,
tl;dr: How can I package my extension for both cs4 and cs5 in a way that respects the extension's window geometry?
I have a panel that specifies window geometry in it's manifest.xml. When the panel is installed into Photoshop's panels/ folder, the geometry gets ignored, so I'm trying to package the panel as an extension to be installed via the Extension Manager. I have run into different problems for each CS version. I've read quite a few pdfs about the Extension Manager, UCF command line packaging, etc, and have not been able to find a solution that works for both platforms.
    My understaning
My trial and error research has lead me to understand that the extension's files must eventually end up in the (mac) /Library/Application Support/Adobe/<CSversion>ServiceManager/extensions/ directory. In CS5, if the extension's folder contains a manifest.xml file (ex: /extensions/GuideGuide/CSXS/manifest.xml) that specifies window geometry, Photoshop will respect that window geometry when the panel opens. However, in CS4, this is not enough. From my tests, Photoshop CS4 doesn't seem to do anything with the manifest.xml file. Instead, I had to modify /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS4ServiceManager/ServiceManifest.xml and add my extension to it's contents. Once I did this, Photoshop CS4 launches my panel and respects it's window geometry.
The problem with this is that it's a manual installation. I can't ask my users to dig around in their system files to install my panel. In addition, since it's unsigned using this method, it won't work if they're not flagged for debugging. I've started exploring using the Extension Manager, but I have run into problems that I cannot find ansers in the few pdfs about packaging that I've been able to find.
    CS5 Problems
If I use the UCF command line tool, I can package and sign my file. It installs fine and does what I want. However, using this method, I haven't been able to find a way to specify the author and description that shows up in the Extension Manager.
    CS4 Problems
The UCF command line tool doesn't appear to make packages that can be installed by CS4, and I haven't been able to find one that is compatable. I've had to result to using the Extension Manager to package my extension based on a .mxi file. The problem I have here is that installing files this way limits me to putting them in the /panels directory, which then causes the panel to ignore the indow geometry. Is there a way with an .mxi file to install in the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/<CSversion>ServiceManager/extensions/ directory and modify the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS4ServiceManager/ServiceManifest.xml file?
There must be, because Kuler and other extensions are installed there.
Thank you SO much for any help you might provide. I've spent weeks trying to get this to work and have run into nothing but dead ends and wild goose chases.

Your extension is a CSXS extension. For CSXS extension it's introduced in Extension Manager 2.1. (You can download Extension manager 2.1 from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/em20_download.html)
In Extension Manager CS2.1 only MXP package is supported. In Extension Manager CS5 CSXS extension must be packaged by ZXP format. So you have to generate two packages for CS4(mxp) and CS5(zxp)
For CS5, you can use ucf.jar to generate the zxp package.
For CS4, you have to create an MXI file and package it by Extension Manager 2.1 to mxp package. Here is a sample CSXS mxi file:
    <macromedia-extension
               name="CSXS_TEST_EXTENSION"

If you installed it no problem and can see it in the menu item, I suppose Extension Manager has done its work well. You can ask the author's help.

    1. There is no "product" attribute in package command. Please remove it.
    2. Why do you still package mxp? MXP has some limitations and is no longer supported in Extension Manager CC. You should package ZXP instead.
    3. Extension Manager CS6 can't sign extension during package. We have a new free product called Adobe Exchange Packager which can package and sign extensions. You can sign in http://www.adobeexchange.com/ and go to Resources page to download it. The current version in this page can't package extension based on existing mxi file. The latest version meets your requirement and will be available in a couple of days.

  • How to use single ant build script to package the application with and without native extensions

    Hi,
I am using iOS native extensions for Adobe air. For this I am listing the extensions in the application descriptor file. Since the package with native extensions are meant to run only on device, I want my build script to work without native extensions too to be able to run on simulator. Is this manadatory that I need two separate application descriptors/basically two build scripts to compile and package them? Please suggest and let me know if more explanation is needed.

    Hi
This is a known issue addressed by CR205204
As you said, IBM actually does not have rt.jar in its JDK - they have moved contents of rt.jar into various jars.
IBM is not using org/apache/crimson/tree/ in their JDK at all.So the error shows up in the end of build even if it succeeds
You may need to add crimson.jar to wlwBuild classpath, since it is not part of IBMs JDK.
Note: the build will work even w/o crimson.jar giving a non build related IDE exception in the very end.
    Thanks

why are you wanting to use single frames?
They allow having the initial frame address stay in the
    address bar, and not
show the linked page's address. The problems they cause
    usually override any
    value.
Or- if we aren't using the same words the same way, please
