I am getting a "connection timeout" message when trying to access my Airport Extreme with various laptops, Play Station 3 and Wii. My Airport Extreme is about a month old; it was working fine until about a week ago. Suddenly, the "timeout" is not allowing me to connect to my wireless network.

It could be that there's a new source of interference.
Use the advice in the second message of this thread to investigate the signal and noise levels that each client sees:

    Hi tania184,
Have you contacted your email provider to make sure there are no problems on their end? If they say their email servers are working properly, check the outgoing and incoming mail servers entries on your iPhone to make sure both are entered correctly. Enter the outgoing mail server even if the account setup indicates that is optional.

  • I have lost my wifi network.  Get connection timeout message???

I suddenly lost my Airport wifi in my house.  I get a "connection timeout" message.  I am able to use my ATT Uverse modem and had a second network going with my apple airport extreme and airport express.  Suddenly that network is gone.  I have reset all the modems and the aiport express shows up in the airport utility although on the ATT network.  Any help???

Probably restarting your router by removing power to it for 30 seconds would have solved your problem.

  • TFTP Timeout Error on PXE Boot

Ok this is what happened.  I tried to patch a image with windows updates - It filled up my hard drive.  So I canceled the process and attempted to remove the folder it created on my hard drive.  I went to try pxe boot a machine and I got the
    blue screen:
After this I removed the check next to pxe to uninstall WDS and I waited for it to uninstall and reboot.  After that I clicked the check box next pxe so it would install everything again.  I redistributed the x86 and x64 boot images but now when
I try to pxe boot a machine I get the following in event viewer:
The Following Client failed TFTP Download:
    IP *.*.*.*
    Filename: SMSBoot\x64\wdsnbp.com
    ErrorCode: 1460
I even made added the entry in the registry to change the TFTP block size.  I have no idea what to do at this point.  I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 and SCCM 2012 SP1.  On the client machine I am getting TFTP timeout.

    1460 (0x5B4) =ERROR_TIMEOUT
This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

  • 7940 stuck on tftp timeout (o/a) !!

    Hi,
I have an old 7940, which seems to be stuck on "TFTP timeout o/a".
The o/a is a single control char.
I tried a factory reset, but it does not help.
None of the buttons seem to work.
The screen shows "Universal Application Loader"
The phone gets an IP address, and I can see CDP packets and DHCP requests going out on Wireshark.
The Software version according to CDP packets seems to be P00308000300
Any ideas on how I can revive this phone ?
    Thanks

No, because I want to manually configure this phone on a new network.
However, when I re-plugged it back into an existing CM network, it upgraded its firmware, and now it seems ok.
I then plugged it back into a switchport on a standalone switch, and can now access the network settings.
So I guess it was a previous firmware upgrade that failed or soemthing like that....

  • "Connection Timeout" Message

Every time I try to connect to my Belkin wireless router, I keep getting a "Connection Timeout" message. I still can't connect to the internet through the wireless function. What should I do, and what does the "Connection Timeout" message imply.

Your computer tried to connect to your wireless router; but the router stopped responding, as such your computer could not establish a connection. Usually this issue is caused by interference from other wireless network and or noise electronic device (microwave, refrigerators). For instance a nabor may have recently added their own wireless network witch interfering with yours.
Or you may be simply be too far away from the router for the computer to talk clearly to each other.
This issue could also be cause by settings or typing in the incorrect password for the wireless router.
    Things you could try:
un-plug and plugging back in the wireless router. rebooting your router give it a chance to refresh it self. Many router will also change their channel when rebooting; witch could help with an interference issue.
Moving your computer closer to the wireless router. Even if you don't want to be that close to the wireless router; being able to connect at all would help to better understand the issue.
have you always had this issue? or is this a new issue?

  • TFTP Timeout in IP Phone.

    Hi Friends,
Can any one tell me why IP Phone showing TFTP Timeout.
    Regards,

7940 SIP loads are somewhat out of scope for SBCS deployments. If you have CUCM server handy, instructions for conversion is below. If this does not work please kindly open a TAC case.

  • Portlet timeout message contains pluses

If my Java portlet has a timeout message of, eg, 'My portlet timed out' it appears as 'My+portlet+timed+out' on the portal. How do I get my whitespace to be honored?
    Use   or %20 ??
    Thanks!
    Brian

The timeout value you have specified might be too less for the portlet to complete its operation. Also the network traffic contributes to this problem, because of the load the portlet data fetching would take time. Please increase the timeout value and check.

  • Safari Slow and ichat timeout message-Computer only 2 weeks old

So I just got my new mac 2 weeks ago.  Considering that my computer is new and the high expectations I have for mac, the web pages are really slow to load.  Sometimes the blue progress bar doesn't even make it past http://.
Also, when I try to communicate with someone on ichat it always delivers a server timeout message. My buddies say that it looks like I am signing on and off on their end.
I tried the suggestions listed in the discussions and am still experiencing slow load times and server timeout messages. It seems strange to me that this would happen considering I just got the computer. I am beginning to question my decision to switch to a mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hello sk:
You +"just kind of pick up a signal from somewhere in my building or neighborhood."+
If you are not subscribing to an ISP, you are piggybacking on some other service. *NO ONE* here can fix that for you.

  • New Portlet Timeout Message

Having upgraded from 3.0.6 to 3.0.9, an error message appears
within some of the newly created portlets (created since the
    upgrade)
Error: Timeout for content=1004 (the number varies)
There is no delay in the link and this message does not appear
for older portlets and does not even appear all the time.
    Any suggestions or remedies?

Try setting the following parameter in the zone.properties file
    ( located under ($ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Jserv/etc directory).
    servlet.page.initArgs=stall=100,requesttime=100
under the Servlet Init Parameter section of zone.properties.
    Then restart your webserver/jserv.
Also you should consider applying patch 3.0.9.8.1
    Hope this helps..

  • Fake WLAN Connection Timeout messages with Mini + Airport

I have seen this to be a common problem both in these forums and on the internet. I have also seen this hasn't been commented at all by Apple, which makes it all the more frustrating.
Something happens with some Airport configurations (I'm getting it on an Intel Mac Mini) where Airport just stops working.
The problem is that the Mini won't connect to any WLAN, no matter the authentication method nor signal. It will always give a "timeout" error when trying. Will always ask for the passphrase/key again.
As I said, it's EMBARRASSING that Apple doesn't acknowledge or provide workarounds for these issues. This is the second problem I find today which is publicly known and for which Apple hasn't said a thing (the other is that sometimes iTunes will stop recognizing iPhones/iPod Touches in Windows hardware if other USB devices are connected and/or the WLAN is active, ridiculous and a workaround found by users, but never acknowledged by Apple).
I've seen the rest of the threads, so to preemptively save everyone the time to suggest things I know are not the issue:
    -No Time Capsules are involved.
    -No Airport Extreme is involved.
-No Airport Base Stations are involved.
    -No software/firmware updates are pending.
-No problems exist on the router. Windows PCs, iMacs, Linksys WET11 bridges, iphones and ipod touches connecter perfectly.
-Tried WPA, WEP and Open WLAN. I don't need to know why WEP is worse than WPA. I know all about it and it's not the issue.
-Resetting the PRAM and deleting the SystemConfiguration folder didn't do squat.
-The problem is with all WLANs, not just mine. The router is irrelevant. It can't connect to any of the 4 currently available.

I have a similar problem. Though I couldn't get my Mac Mini (just got it 2 weeks ago) to ever connect through AirPort. My router (LinkSys) is in the same room as the mini. Sometimes mini can't even see my network but it does see a couple of other WLANs in my proximity.
I have no problems finding and connecting with my black MacBook and my girlfriends HP Pavilion.
