Your settings -- between the Compressor, Pixel Aspect Ratio and Frame Size -- are oil-and-water.
If this is going to YouTube (meaning not going to be viewed on traditional TVs) and it's mainly Photos, try using this:
Frame Size: 1280x720
Aspect Ratio: HDTV 720p
Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square
Editing Timebase: 29.97
Compressor: Motion JPEG A
Quality: 100% (though in a lot of cases, you could drag this down to about 75-80% and quality will not suffer)
Unfortunately, you won't get much (if any) real-time effects. Unless, of course, you're on FCP 6 or later, where you can use a ProRes compressor instead. But with your signature saying 10.4. something, I wasn't sure if it was safe to assume that. The Motion-JPEG setting should work in all versions.

I wanted to thank those of you who patiently answered my questions regarding the selection of an external monitor exclusively for photo image editing.
After pouring over numerous reviews & sorting through the myriad of forum threads, I have narrowed the field to 2 contenders: the NEC EA231WMi & the Dell U2410. Neither of these monitors are perfect & both have their strengths & weaknesses.
And regardless of my final selection, I will get an Eye-One Display 2 colorimeter.
As a final call for input, if anyone has any strong opinions regarding either of the above monitors, please let me know.

Buying more hard drive space is a very valid option, here. Editing takes up lots of room, you should never discount the idea of adding more when you need it.
Another possibility is exporting to MXF OP1a using the AVC-I codec. It's not lossless, but it is Master quality. Plus the file size is a LOT smaller, so it may suit your needs.

Okay, so I don't really know too much about audio, but I do care abou tsound quality.
I was poking around in the built in MIDI controller and I was looking at the settings for my MacBook Pro Retina 15" and the options under format where "44100Hz, 48000Hz, 88200Hz, and 96000Hz." I am wandering which of these would be the highest quality sound? I am not sure and don't want to mess anytihing up by setting it wrong.
Also, the other option in the channels. Which is better: 2ch-24 bit integer, 2ch-16 bit integer, or 2ch-32 bit float?
I'm not sure if these are dumb questions, but thanks in advanced!

Of the various options iTunes gives, AAC and MP3 are compressed formats so you lose some quality but gain space. AIFF (CD) and WAV are uncompressed so you gain quality at the expense of space. Apple Lossless falls somewhere in between, doesn't compress as much as AAC and MP3 so you gain some space but not as much, however it is claimed to give a quality which is the equal to CD. I'm not sure that's what fixed it. Posts reporting radio issues were dropping off before the updates were released. Also people who were neither running Lion nor iTunes 10.5 reported problems and many people who ran both also did not report problems.

The best way is to call applecare (800) APL-CARE (800-275-2273). You can also email them but you need to create a case here https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action. When I did it it took about 10 mins.

In Safe/Secure Mode many Drivers are not loaded. When your computer works in Safe Mode, but not regular mode, two types of problems are implicated:
1) Third-party kernel extensions. a conflict with some part of Mac OS X means that when those extensions load, your Mac can not run.
2) Failed graphics card. Since the Driver for the display is not loaded, the display in Safe Mode uses a very simple built-in Driver. In regular mode, once the driver is loaded, all parts of the graphics card must be working, or you could get bands of color on the display (which is just what you reported).

We were thinking of actually using apple's server products for establishing a worldwide IT network for a small and later on medium sized business to provide everybody a solid and sound environment.
Hence, before we purchase, we wanted to make sure, whether some of you would be able to recommend us on how to move forward on the followings:
- which of the servers and which processor would be the best choice and are the most reliable ones
- would a "normal" Mac pro be sufficient enough for future tasks?
- a normal server, can also be used as a normal workstation.
- where can we get the right support in case needed? We had some difficulties in the pt in actually getting hold of the apple support centers.
- all our products with the exception of a few are apple products

'most reliable'? I haven't found any reliablity issues or differences between any of the MacPro models - 4-core, 8-core, 12-core all just run and run and run. As for 'best choice' that depends on what you want to do with it, budget, workload, etc., etc., etc.

Seriously. I mean, who can know what 'future tasks' you expect to throw at the machine, and whether one machine or 50 is sufficient for the task. There are even tremendous differences in capacity (e.g. RAM, CPU power, etc.) between 'normal' MacPro models, therefore it's impossible to answer your question since we don't know what 'normal' is, nor do we know what 'future tasks' are.

If you're running business-critical services check out Apple's Enterprise Support offerings, find a local Mac dealership who's willing to help, or hire someone who knows what they're doing.

The complete backup and restore procedure is explained in the link above.
If you don't want to do a restore, then your iPad may remain in the unstable state you have for the moment.
You can change the country in the App Store. Have a look at the bottom of the App Store screen, you can change the country and also do the permanent change via Manage > Account.
You can change the language in iTunes via General Preferences > under General tab.
