Well, I had to replace my Zen Micro since it has that headphone jack problem. They responded promptly and I shipped it to them. They sent me a replacement one and im soo happy Creative has great customer support !

Glad to hear everything worked out! As for the FG, as far as I know it's just one of the internal codes RMA uses, nothing major.

YES!!! 5.1 Surround Sound in Vista! THANK YOU CREATIVE

I installed Vista a few months back to evaluate it and liked a lot of things...but never could get the 5.surround sound to work on my Dell system with an integrated sound card. I went out and bought an inexpensi've Creative Audigy SE card in hopes that it would work. It didn't. Like everyone elses posts, the Vista config tool let me test all the speakers successfully, but wouldn't utilize them when playing music. I kept checking the Creative site looking for updated drivers and upon each install I found myself more and more discouraged at the lack of support. But today, I downloaded and installed "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS and Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit XP and Windows Vista Pack .04.0077" and YES
!!! I have surround sound again. There is one manual step post install: Enable CMSS-3D in the Console tool. I can handle that. Thank you Creative for doing something Microsoft couldn't (or refused) to do. It sure seems like a basic thing to a novice like me...make my speakers work in Vista the way they worked in XP. Today is a good day.

Thank you Creative for wrecking my LCD Display on my Desk

I have just installed the new update to get rid of the screeching because I use 4GB of Ram. After installing the update for my soundcard I can't use the LCD Display and can't use the remote control to fire up my TV card, DVD Player or anything else that use the remote control as it is a multimedia PC.
So Thanks To Creative Labs for another botched job....
It works with the normal drivers that come with the disk, but the sound is crap as I need for 4GB for what I do for work. I think that this is the last straw now. I'm looking for a new Sound Card.

I don't deny there are issues. However a vague statement like "wrecking my LCD Display on my desktop"? That's a new one to me.
AFAIK the only way a _driver_ could wreck a monitor would be to change the refresh rate too high or resolution too high (and most monitors will recognize this and just turn themselves off.) Obviously the driver didn't "wreck" OP's LCD display because the display works when he installs the old driver.
"Wreck" is his word, not mine.
This is all assuming we're talking about his monitor, not something else....it isn't clear.
Unfortunately drivers have bugs, games have bugs, windows has bugs, graphic cards have bugs, CPU's have bugs... I could go on and on. Thats just the way it is with home computers and windows. Buy a Mac if you want _less_ issues but you still won't be safe...

From what I read on the boards, I think EVERYONE that owns a Micro should reply to this post in thanks for cranking out a Firmware that solves the hated Battery Drain problem. I work in an atmosphere where thanks is hardly given out (being a teen, that normally happens), so, thank you, because this deserves it.

I just wanted to thank all of you who have worked so hard to get these last few driver updates out.
I feel real good about my $350 Elite pro investment. Everything I use is working so far and the sound is Studio
quality now. I have had cmss 3d stop working once so far, i switched to game mode then back and it was fine then (was watchin 2 channel movie source.)
I am running Vista 64 Ultimate BTW.

For one thung Vista wasn't out yet and I didn't know openal was going to be the Vista standard. I am glad my card works and sounds better than it ever did in XP. I'm thankful I didn't have to buy another soundcard for Vista.
I was never robbed lol my card worked from the beginning, with glitches occasionally.
I was not happy it took over a year to get the sound mapping correct on the outputs.
That is fixed and I am seeing an improved effort on Creative's part?getting new drivers out that I hope are working as good for everyone else as they are for me.
If you feel you've been robbed I suggest you file a complaint with the proper authorities.

They finally brought it back for the Zen Vision M 30gb. Thanks to the mods for passing on our concerns. Now all Creative has to do is publish new firmwares for the Zen Vision/ Mircophoto/ Nano Plus bringing back FM recording. I will love them for ever if they give FM recording to the Zen V/ V+/ Vision M (60gb)/ and Zen Vision W. Oh and if they want to be really kind they could give an audible upgrade to the Zen Sleek Photo and maybe even the Zen Touch? I was moderately upset that I could no longer update my firmware because if I did, even if it would fix some issues, it would have removed my FM recording feature. I am glad that you all have re-introduced the feature back into the Zen Vision:M! I could not always listen in to my favorite radio shows and would set my Vision to record when necessary. Now I can again!?Plus?have all the fixes since last I updated my firmware. Thanks Creative!!

you can but there may be some issues and a lot of files will be saved to your c drive, anyway.

Okay, I did my best searching and I couldn't find anything that matched all your descriptors. I did do a search on both decoder numbers. SB0256 returned very little results, but with SB0466, I was able to find this ebay listing:

This card isn't a Champion like you suggested. And with my complete lack of knowledge, I don't know what I/O dri've bay means. But since it is PCI and the decoder matches the number you gave me, this card should be adequete, right?
Whether it works or not, my search indicated it might be very hard for me to find that card (or any PCI card for that matter). Everything I saw was out of stock. I know this is a forum for Creative, but are there any other manufacturers that will allow me to accomplish my goal, either with current cards, or discontinued cards? Thanks again

I too need to make "Real Copies" of images and hate doing anything directly from the OS because of the chance that my LR catalog gets out of Sync with the actual images on the computer. So I make the copies inside LR with an export routine and then move the copies inside of LR with the normal drag and drop. Once the export preset is created it can be executed from the Library Grid by right-clicking on the image (or selected images) to make the copies. My settings are as follows in case you are interested:
