Either they're being sent to a different email address, or got caught in a spam filter, or something's wrong at Apple's end. If you can't find the email, you need to ask Apple to reset your security questions, which can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.

every negative experience is an opportinity to learn. deleting or moderating these experiences would be turning away the chance to learn. as long as users follow the participation rules, we allow even the most negative posts to remain.
as you said, forums are inherently negative by nature as users typically come here to solve a problem. those of us who try to solve the problems are in the minority. we certainly appreciate users such as yourself who voluntarily return to the forum to help out, especially those who initially came here to solve a problem themselves.

One question though…
In the announcement, the following information was provided: "Although the Levels have returned, not all expanded functions associated with those levels have been reinstated (for example, not all Level 3’s have notify capabilities). We are working on enabling all of the expanded functions associated with all Levels."
And therein lies the basis for my confusion. As a Level 3 [now nearly level 4] subscriber who was given Notify capabilities just days prior to the switch to the new Apple Discussions software, I discover that I do not now have such privileges anymore. Does the phrase "…working on enabling all of the expanded functions… mean that I, for example, will soon have Notify capabilities restored, or will I have to wait until I achieve Level 4 to earn this?
I don't mean to sound like the whiny kid in the corner, I just don't clearly understand what will happen in the near future to my privileges and those of others in a similar situation.
And—speaking of privileges—I can no longer find a list of them associated with point levels. Am I just not looking in the right place?

The Hosts are still working on restoring Notify capabilites to Level 3s.
No one know when this will happen. L3's will have them as soon as it's been proven not to overload the system.
Another thing that is "on the list" is the ability to have custom avatars.
Currently, no one (L3,4 or 5) is able to have a custom avatar as part of the discussions preferences.
The boards here are a work in progress when it comes to the new system.
Many new enhancements have been introduced. Other perks that we all enjoyed in the previous system have been worked out in the first 4 months.
Many of the negatives from the old system are no longer here. Many more positive suggestions are being worked on. Patience "is a good thing."

All the way up until the last build, it has been rather difficult work around the fact that the windows 8.1 pro or enterprise would allow for full resolution on an E6410 i5 8GB RAM, (was not able to use the full screen of Visual Studio or Expression; which
was an external monitor that worked quite nicely. But I did wonder why my OS was stating that below 1080 is the recommended and only setting.
In the last build the snap function did not work at all especially across two monitors. Now it works great!
Only have intermittent issues with wifi but a ipconfig /renew and ipconfig /flushdns works fine for the meantime.

Thanks for the fix to changing the media style and other feathers in the options window. Greatly appreciated! A suggestion to improve would be to have a podcast created in GarageBand carry the appropriate options window info with it when it is sent to iTunes (but still allow those to be changed). I ask this continuously since the major update. You removed the one feature i use a hell of a lot. When sorting by artist, track or album.. i used to be able to press T for example and it would scroll to the section beginning with T. Why the hell did you remove that? Every update that comes i think "oh they might have fixed that". But no... is it ever coming back as one the the most useful shortcuts!?

I've been using Gnu/Linux for some year now and I've been testing everything from Mandrake to Gentoo. Though none of them could satisfy my needs of a fast small distro with a great package manager! But now I have found my new best friend and he is named Arch!

I have since bought an android phone and was happy to see a working version for Linux (Been rocking Ubuntu for 4 years now). Had the same recent issue that many people are reporting with 12.04 (The life of being a beta guinea pig) so I'm trying out the 0.8.X previews and it's working so far barring the known issues.
