Pages run from Local JDEV is showing the DEV instance login

Hi,
When I run the page from my local jdev it is showing me the DEV instance login page.
Not sure why..I have been using the JDEV for the develpoment of custom application (OA) since last 8 months.
This is the first time I am getting this problem.

Have you renamed your system recently? This happens because the properties file may still have old system name, the problem should be resolved by deleting system folder.Also please make sure that your system name should not have null spaces, i remember this problem with jdev 9i.

Different configuration issues between the DEV and QAS

Dear friends,
I have 2 synchronize soap-xi-proxy and proxy-xi-soap scenarios, therefore I create a business service 'customer' and the soap communication channels.
In the DEV environment, I have only one client (DEV_100) for the unit test, so there's no problem.
Unfortunately in the QAS environment, we have several clients: QAS_500 for integration test, QAS_600 for UAT, QAS_700 for the end user training, as the test schedule can't be one by one in order, I have a requirement that I must support the multiple tests in the same time.
I could transport the configuration objects with different transport targets for the proxy-xi-soap scenario and use the virtual receiver for the soap-xi-proxy scenario, but it looks like ugly and we need to have at least 3 times configuration objects when comparing to the DEV environment.
Could anybody tell me how we design or transport the configuration scenarios better for achieving the requirement?

Watermark in ALL printouts from the dev/test system

Hi guys,
A way back I was responding and was one of the top contributors here, now I see myself in the situation to humbly ask for your oppinion.
We have this situation: we have a lot of SAPscripts and Smartforms in the dev/QA systems. The client is using the same printers for both test printing and productive ones. We want that all the spools that come out of dev and QA to have a watermark on them, text, picture, what have you.
I wonder if you know which standard program should be enhanced/modified to achieve this and how it should be modified.

Well, I must say thats a very good idea and I will be curious to see the solution.
I wonder if that is possible without modifying the sap standard code as I doubt there will be any customer exit/BADI to modify the spool just before it is sent to printer.

PS: I think FM RSPO_RPRINT_SPOOLREQ is sending the spool to printer.

How does one join the dev team?

Hi,
I was looking around the wiki and did some keyword searches for dev and developer, and I know the wiki talks about becoming TUs. A recent thread mentioned several times that the devs were swamped. Is it silly to ask if it's possible to add more devs?

Generally it's an invite-only process. AFAIK, we currently don't have any kind of formal application process - I became a dev because I was noticed as being an energetic TU, IIRC.
If you want to become a developer, and you feel you have an impressive 'resume', I suppose you could email Aaron and ask to be inducted - worst that could happen would be he says "try to establish yourself in the community first - become a TU" or something like that.

I tried to contact Apple and since it's not an urgent matter I chose the communities support first. I'd like this sorted out because the dev should have either withdrawn the app or update its description, and I'm not familiar with Apple's screening procedure regarding AppStore..
Any input will be much appreciated.

Sandbox to the DEV/Quality/Production environment

Hello,
Is there any way we can Transfer all we had done is Sandbox to the DEV/Quality/Production environment?
We are using SAP 5.2 and had done all the configuration is SANDBOX side.
Please let me know if any one has any information regarding this.

Hi IMRAN,
S2S functionality allows you to transfer only product-related configuration which list you can find in the online help as Alex suggested. However, you will not be able to transfer System Rules or Collaborations in particular. Thus if you need to "copy" the entire configuration of ME @ Sandbox, then you need to export the database dumps of ME WIP and ODS from Sanbox and import to e.g. QA and re-create synonyms in QA. Then install/deploy the ME build in QA and point to the new database.

Click on the Apple and then on about this Mac. In the new window, click on the "version 10.9.2" until you see the serial number displayed.

What was the dev team thinking with Firefox v29?

So I was just auto-upgraded to firefox 29, and I need to know: What exactly was the dev team thinking when they designed it? Title bar disabled by default? Total removal of the add-on bar? Tabs forcibly on top? Seriously, stop trying to be chrome. Chrome is aesthetically and functionally terrible, why do you keep trying to emulate them? I can't speak for the community, but for myself and for people I know, one of the main reasons we use firefox is because we strongly dislike chromes layout. For the time being, I've downgraded to v28, and disabled auto-updates.

Let's take advantage of the fact that we have Developers around.
You are obviously unhappy with the development decisions, and that is normally off topic in this forum, but right now because of Firefox 29 Release we will have Developers around popping in to the forum. I will add an escalate tag. If we are lucky a Developer may give an explanation and a proper answer to your question.

How much is the data content to be created into the table ?

Are u trying to transport the table with entries into QA for just testing purpose ?
confirm this .
in my opinion if at all the entries are required to test some scenario
like say one or two max 5 per scenario ,
can't u create some entries in debugging itself by appending the entry in ur QA itself .

Two hotmail account, 1 want to use, other has the dev account?

I have two hotmail accounts (a .com and a .co.uk). I've been using the .com one fine and its registered as a dev account (for mobile 8 - it would appear that it isn't for windows apps) but pretty much all my actual stuff I (personal) use is on my .co.uk
account.
My windows 8 phone was registered under the .com and today I've reset it so that I can use it with my .co.uk account.
Now I want to install the developer app with it, but I can't as the .co.uk account isn't a developer account. I went to set up the .co.uk account as a dev account but I can't see a way to link it to the .com
Logged into .com account and it appears that although its a win mobile 8 dev account, its not a windows app dev account. (been about a year since I last did anything so likely things have changed). Going through this process looks like the .com account is
also looking for the £12 registration fee (same as the .co.uk) but I do not want to pay twice when I just want to use the publisher ID from one account and make the .co.uk account let me get the dev preview for my win mobile.
If I have to set up two separate publisher accounts then fine, but I'd rather not. Long winded, but hopefully someone can advise.

You don't have to use the same ID for iCloud as you do for purchasing. You can just set up iCloud using your other ID.
If your have already have another account, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted, set up your new account with the other ID, turn on your iCloud data syncing and when prompted, choose Merge to upload your data to the new account.

IPhone: where's the "announcement section" of the Dev portal?

I just got a note from Apple saying that I can get my contract extended by clicking through a new agreement in the "announcement section" of the iPhone Dev Center. Trouble is, I cannot such a beast. The home page of the dev center is all iPhone 2.21 OS downloads, but no sidebar or tab saying "Announcements".

I received two e-mails so far, the first was received on 3/13 and had the title of "iPhone Developer Program Extension for Beta Developers". However, the content of the e-mail consisted only of the Apple logo and the text "iPhone Developer Program". There was no link and no explanation of what was going on. The second was received on 3/19 and indicated that I had not responded to their first e-mail and invited me to "click through" as you indicated. However, there does not appear to be any such link to click through. I sent e-mail to the support folks and have not received any response.
I plan to call for support on Monday and see if someone can fix things over the phone. Frankly, I am very disappointed that Apple can't seem to get developer support for iPhone Devs functional. How insanely stupid is it to send e-mail that can't be read, then send e-mail that invites you to do something that can't be done. According to the second e-mail, my account will terminate on 3/31 unless I can click through the non-existent agreement or figure out a way to pay for another year ...

Someone is changing elements with the Dev tools on my computer how do i reverse the changes

i am new to computers you could call me technically retarded sometimes my pages are padded and sometimes they dont work at all this part or that will be missing or i will get a ridiculous redirect i really dont understand it but im reading about it in the forums
please help me it seems a touch suspicuous there are things encrypted with 256 encryption hidden photos and all kinds of other stuff

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB
This isn't done via the developer tools, but more likely by an extension or security software.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
