Thanks apple

ya so i just "upgraded" to itunes11.
words dont even describe.
now, i fully support your products, they are built well, and are top of the line.
but itunes, ...wow.
i am so embittered by itunes i even bothered to make an account specifically to nerdrage.
why can't i delete songs by right clicking? must be because its so user friendly ..
click and drag to select? nope, ... that was old technology i guess
everything aboute itunes is as over-complicated, user unfriendly as it can possible be.
delete this crap and start again. i really dont know what the people who made this were thinking.
anyways. im going to go back to googling how to use your "user friendly" product to do simple menial tasks like deleting and loading music.
(thanks /sarcasm)

I love the new version of Grid view but I still miss cover flow even if I didn't use it that often...
You can restore much of the look & feel of the previous version with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to  show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured text and background in the Albums view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
Should you feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

I've tried this on multiple products so I believe its specific to iTunes not a particular device.

Same thing here- Get the email but nothing but the Inside featurette. It's really annoying. In fact I can't even download it normally using the check for available downloads feature! Every time I do that iTunes tries to download doubles of three Walking Dead episodes I've already downloaded. I don't want what I already have, I just want the new episode.

I fell asleep with my charger last night and woke up with a 2nd degree burn thanks apple product

Did the power adapter have adequate air circulation around it?
Power adapters do get warm, and if confined, get hot.
    From the iphone_user_guide iOS 7.1
Prolonged heat exposure iPhone and its power adapter comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. However, even within these limits, sustained contact with warm surfaces for long periods of time may cause discomfort or injury. Use common sense to avoid situations where your skin is in contact with a device or its power adapter when it’s operating or plugged into a power source for long periods of time. For example, don’t sleep or place a device or power adapter under a blanket, pillow, or your body when it’s plugged into a power source. It’s important to keep iPhone and its power adapter in a well-ventilated area when using or charging them. Take special care if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against the body.
(note this probably applies to any power adapter from any company)

If you would have done some simple product research you would have known this before intsalling Lion.

D.p.middleton the Adobe Application Manager has been available for quite some time.  It not only allows Creative Cloud users to install their applications but also downloads and applies applicable updates.  In addition it is also responsible for the licensing and managing your agreement to the terms and conditions of the EULA.
    2. this could be due to you selecting a trial subscription to the Creative Cloud?  If you go to one of the Adobe Creative products and select Help>Updates it will launch the update portion of the Adobe Application Manager which I believe is the portion you are looking for?
#3 I believe this was already mostly covered in the answer to #2.
#4 the Adobe Application Manager also receives periodic updates which affects both perpetual and Creative Cloud subscription users.
I hope this provides you many of the answers you are looking for?  If not please feel free to respond back with any additional inquiries which you have.  Also if you are experiencing any difficulties with the update process please post this as well.  It may not be necessary to have a full understanding of the inner workings of the Adobe Application Manager to help you resolve your difficulties.

  • I updated my 3gs to 6.1.3 now I can't get mail the phone constantly restarts itself and I can't get it to Restore thanks Apple what can I do?

I updated my 3gs to 6.1.3 now I can't get mail the phone constantly restarts itself and I can't get it to Restore thanks Apple what can I do?

Im having the same problem, I updated my Iphone 4S to 6.1.3, shortly after that my phone had no audio. It was working fine one minute and then stopped. Was listening to music when sound gave out on me. It wont ring, phone just vibrates even after turning off vibration option. I've tried all the options listed and nothing. My phone has never been jailbroken either. If I connect the earphones is works perfectly. On one of my last calls received, phone's ringtone was heard for about 2 seconds before muting and just vibrating. Ringtone sounded perfect, speakers did not sound damaged.
What else could be done? I've read several post regarding this and it seems like Apple has no solution to this yet. Very dissappointed.

  • Keyboard FAILURE after install...thanks Apple.

Installed an "upgrade" Leopard on my 1.8ghz Core Duo Macbook Laptop and after install the laptop keyboard would no longer work. No matter what I did, rebooted, safe mode, single user mode, nothing... No keys would register. Keyboard shows up fine in SysInfo, just wont type...
If I boot to the Leopard DVD, the keyboard works fine.
Thanks Apple for releasing this POS and making Vista actually look like a stable OS.
This is the last time I get burned like this.... no more.

    Hello all...
Just an FYI. I had the same problem with my MacBook. I installed Leopard and the keyboard stopped working. It was because of SideTrack. I was able to hook up with a firewire to my computer to my roommate's Mac and reboot while holding "T". My computer appeared on his desktop and then I went in and removed the SideTrack files. Works fine now.
Sounds like they'll have a Leopard update soon,
    James

  • Comcast Broadband  Thanks Apple!!!

I just have to take a moment to give Kudos to Apple.
OS X 10.4.8 Resolves performance issues that could occur when connecting to a Comcast network.
That is an understatement. I have the Comcast Gold Tier. I could never pull more than about 3-Mbps on my Macs even though my Windows PCs could go full speed. After the update I have all the 16-Mbps speed that I paid for and I am one happy camper.
Download Speed: 15413 kbps (1926.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
After being stuck in the Mac slow lane for so long downloading at nearly 2 MEG per second is awesome.
    Thanks Apple!

No issue, just one big than you to Apple.

  • HT201210 been trying to restore ipod touch for days after updating itunes. keep getting error #9. Tried it on 2 computers, with vista + XP. tried all the solutions posted. nothing is working. Thanks Apple. Didn't have this problem before updating itunes!

Been trying to restore Ipod touch for days after updating Itunes. Error code #9. Stuck on restore screen. Tried all the solutions posted. Tried on 2 computers, Vista + XP. No device shown on computer. Thanks Apple! Didn't have this problem before update. How about rolling back your update?

    Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if you manually disconnect the device during the restore process. You can resolve this issue by using USB troubleshooting, using a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • Thanks Apple and Yoobee! :)

I've been having issues with the screen on my MacBook. I took it the shop I bought it from (Yoobee in NZ) and got them to look at it. They got back to me and said the display unit needed to be replaced and it would cost around NZ$800. This represents half of what I paid for the machine in the first place, so I was less than impressed.
I sat it on it for a while and then decided that, as there was no good reason for this to happen, I shouldn't have to pay even though the computer was out of warranty. I went back to Yoobee and spoke to them them. They put me on to the Apple Customer Service people in Australia. After explaining the issue I was referred to an Apple Customer Relations guy called Steven in Singapore.
We had some back and forth. Basically he said the machine was out of warranty, therefore I would have to pay. I said that wasn't really good enough. He came back to me and offered to pay the labour costs. While that was nice, again I said it wasn't satifactory and pointed out that in NZ the Consumer Guarantees Act states that customers can expect a "reasonable amount of service" from appliances & electrical goods. I also pointed out that Ministry of Education in NZ has a laptop scheme for teachers and they replace the computers every three years. The last thing I said to Steven was that I understood that the warranty had lapsed but the issues wasn't caused by anything I had done, and that I felt strongly that Apple should bear the cost of repairs.
The next day, Steven called and told me that Apple had decided to provide an exemption and would carry the cost of the repairs. I was stoked and am typing this on my computer having got it back from Yoobee this morning. I was expecting the turn around to be in the order of 7-10 working day, so I am really impressed that the turn around was only 5 days. Yay! Thanks Apple & Yoobee. Much appreciated:)

  • Ok so I am having issues with charging my iPad as well. So I took advice from this forum and yes, if you turn the brightness down my iPad charges. Thanks Apple I just went and spent money on a new charger I didn't need. Really you need to fix this issue.

    Wow. Okay...
I'll let the real veterans in this forum tackle your issues one after the other. But, I can tell you, all will be well.
My only comment would be re: your computer specs:

To be completely honest, FCPX is a RAM hog. It just is. But, RAM is relatively cheap, and the pay-off is good.
4GB is right on the edge, IMHO. 16G is ideal.
I wish you luck, hang in there, and standby for more help.

  • Iphone 4 reception issue and it took me 7 days to solve it. Thanks apple!

As most of you know, iphone 4 bars drop as soon as you hold the phone on bottom left corner. I called apple tech support and this is what they suggested.
    1. Tape the sim card. ( No it's not a joke. That's what they told me)
    2. Don't hold the phone with left hand and avoid holding the bottom left.
I complained that if I have to do exactly what they said, I would risk myself from dropping the iphone 4. No one was able to help. I talked to supervisor. I emailed Steve jobs. So, I finally filed a complain to FCC. Poor AT&T was in the middle of it and I called them for my drop calls. They offered me something in credit. But, it still did not solve the issue.
After fighting with customer service for 7 days, I went to apple store and got a bumper case from apple. Now, I have no drop calls at all. I mean AT&T network is still terrible, but it is much better than what I had for past 7 days. Apple store manager was nice enough to offer me a discount on bumper.
I was going to buy white iphone, but now I am going to think about it. I will probably go for samsung captivate or new HTC android phone. I might get the phone that would not be as nice as iphone, but I will be able to hold it the way I like!
You guys have any issues with antenna? How did you solve it?

I have the antenna problem too. I called Apple as well and after talking to three different people, I was offered a bumper. Keep in mind that this was on Sunday. I don't believe they are doing that anymore.
I have a case on it right now, and it seems to be okay. Take the case off, and it drops calls consistently.
At first the Apple rep told me to put tape on it. Put tape on my new phone? Umm...no thanks. I was told to hold it differently. I was told I could buy a bumper. That's when I was offered a free one because the guy admitted to knowing that it was at least a temporary fix, and I noted that it shouldn't be my responsibility to purchase anything else. My phone should have been in working order to begin with.

  • HT201441 iphone lock out - Left me stranded 50 Mile from home, THANKS APPLE!!

I am frustrated beyond words at the iphone support and development team for not giving advance warning to users that the OS on our devices is expiring..
I was over an hour away in a major city enjoying a drive in move with my family, when my wife's device gets a white screen asking her to activate her device. There was NO warning of any kind that the device's OS was expiring or that any sort or activation was or should be needed.
After sever failed attempts including using my working iphone 5 as a hotspot, we decided to wait till we got home and use the WINDOWS PC to restore it.
Once the movie was over we go to wake up my device to find the same issue, now we are over 50 miles away needing to navigate HEAVY construction across a major metroplex with NO access to my devices features besides emergency calls. We did find the way home however, now we find out that we're unable to use iTunes to activate the devices, Verzion says its a known issue and we need to contact apple and apple is closed...
This brings up an important issue, the device needs to have EMERGENCY GPS\MAPS\Navigation functions.
Since I cannot even call a friend I should at least be able to use the maps function with manual input support (no contact list or history access for privacy).
Thanks again I really though you should also know I am really considering NOT purchasing the 5s 64 to replace my 5 64, I was going to pass this one to my son and get the latest, however, it seems you company is getting SLOPPY and perhaps losing focus on the customers, not just general customer service but our Safety and well being,

Not sure what your issue is, iOS or Apple products do not have an expiry date. Your service contract with your cellular provide however could expire. Since it happened to 2 phones I would still be questioning the cellular provider.
