I don't mind coding as in the past I have done that with Toolbook, to the level of cinema booking
systems, Director, Flash, and courses in html and C++ and some CSS for Wordpress
However.............
I occasionally crack at Dreamwever and can get most of it but I keep having a problem
with positioning. I have had another crack and still not solving it. It seems I follow the
instructions and unexpected results follow. It seems that not all conditions are
explained in the various instructions but I will keep an open mind that there is something
idisosyncratic to do with myself, or, I am missing something but what. I have not had
any similar problem with other stuff. Admittedly I have been used to a very object
oriented way of doing things whereas DW works in and out of the document flow
but I am not sure that is the problem. I thought I would try a different angle and
put a sequence of baby steps on a forum and see if see what happens when
things went wrong and someone could point it out to me at the stage it happened
so to speak.
In the manual I have it says that DW creates the code for you. As such I thought
well this will save a lot of time. I thought therefore code only needed to be used
incidently or later on. Does it mean then that code is best done by default.
Does this render most of the interface useless.
I admit I don't understand and I don't understand why I don't understand.
incidently I have been advised that it is best to use floats for main layout
Is this right, I have tried them with again strange results.

One of the sticks that we in the Mac community use to beat the misguided Windoze brethern with is how we support each other. I posted a request 3 days ago asking for advice in finding a leopard compatible, duplex colour (yes I am a Brit, so I spell it correctly ;-P) laser printer. Forty Six people have read that post but no-one has replied. Is it really such a difficult question?

I don't think it is a problem with not helping you, I think it is more of a problem of no one feels comfortable right now with a recommendation. I have two HP's which really won't work under Leopard. from what I am reading most every printer out there is having trouble under leopard.
while I am not sure if they are available in GB, I suggest U try and look at Kodak printers. good quality and refills are half price of anyone else, plus the cartridges last twice as long.
But I do suggest that maybe U can take your computer to the store when U look for a printer and try it out right there. I am looking to buy new printers but will wait for a few more months until all the vendors get there act together.

Chris, The sequence number is the first column of numbers, to the left of the Name column. It always goes 1, 2,3 etc. It is not the same as the Track Number, which has its own column.
As a precaution before burning, make sure that Shuffle is tunred off, and that you right-click the playlist name and choose 'Copy to Play Order" (although technically they should not affect the burn).

Oh ok, well that was what the test said prior to reformatting the hard drive. Now, it doesn't find any trouble no matter how many times I run it. That's what has me so confused, everything seems to check out and yet...I can't do anything, not even install the software!

Still no success installing SQL Server ... despite all your help and suggestkions

After all the ideas and help from here and almost 4 hours with a Dell technician, I'm no closer to success.
We went through all the suggested solutions involving registry edits/deletions that I could find. We still come up with "Consistency validation for SQL Server registry keys" failure. There are a series of SQL Server keys (HKEY/LOCAL/Software) that
we can see but we are prohibited from deleting.
I want to call Microsoft. Is there a special SQL Server phone #?

The error is for 5 keys, The literal is "xxxxxxx can not be opened. An error is preventing this key from being opened. Details: Access is denied." where "xxxxx" is the name of the key.
The 5 keys are: CPE, MSSQLServer, Providers, Setup, and SQLServerSCP

Can you go to start > run > regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server and look for those keys.
On my machine they are located under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.SQL2014 (i have SQL 2014 named instance)
Are you able to open those five mentioned keys?
If not, then you can try resetting the permissions

Updating to WM 6 Pro but which one??? Need your help and advice

I just recently bought a Treo 750 here in Taiwan and I want to update my device from WMPro 5 to WMPro 6.. I saw 2 different updates both from palm support
This link i got from a chinese online palm community. This update is for the 2.23 version and labeled as generic English.

There are always good and bad on every message board, but I am seeing an awful lot of VERY GOOD, HELPFUL, INFORMATIVE posters here and I am very grateful.
I have been thinking about getting a tablet for a couple of years, did some research, kept hearing people compare various brands to the Apple iPad, "it is almost as good as..." "it is cheaper than..." "it has pretty much the same features as..." that convinced me to go for the gold standard of tablets and I am very glad that I did.

I am wondering if there is a way to extract data from a RSS/ATOM directly into a database ? to explain it further..
say there is a site called www.dummy.com and it provides RSS, now I want to extract all data from that RSS automatically into a database on a local site.
I do not know if it is really possible... If yes .... describe it a bit in detail Please.
Or please give me some information on where to look for more on this topic please.
I can handle the programming part but I do not know how to do it.. I will really appreciate your input please.

Really there is not much to it. Get a simple file that lists the URLs off the RSS feeds.
loop over the list and us Vlad Patryshev URLConnection class to get the XML
Check the last updated time against your current copy and if new update your database (see table structure given). Save the data as BASE64 to save formatting issues and unicode issues.
Then using the JDOM jar you can read the XML and produce any output you require.
Wanting: I would recommend scanning the output for an <script>, and special chars that might try to inject XSS code into your site. It's a little risky putputting RSS data directly to your site without checking it over first.
Personally I would manually check and approve all new RSS data but I am sad :)

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. But you'll still need the password.
Once you have the computer authorized to use the account she could change the password again to stop you buying apps on her card (assuming it's not on yours!). It would lock you out of upgrading them too but they should work unless she uses the deathorize all feature.
It depends on how amicable the split is...

you need to "Get Info" on the file first. Select it, right click and select 'Get Info' in the menu.
In the window that pops up, near the bottom, the "Open With" drop down menu needs changed. If the drop down menu does not present the one you want, select "Other" and find it.

Upon receiving my 2012 MBA, I removed the inCase hard shell from my 2011 model and fitted it to my 2012 unit. The fit is identical. Dimensionally they are the same.
So, if you are asking do all of mine fit? Yes they do.
