And yes, Apple does test iOS updates. But with millions of devices that run iOS, there are always going to be a small percentage where the update goes awry. I usually find that updating from iTunes is slightly more reliable than over-the-air updates, so you might consider doing that next time, if you didn't this time.

I tried to update to the latest software for the iPhone 4 today, May 16th. After removing the software, I received an error message from iTunes and now my phone has no software and useless for everything including a phone call. I immediately went to Restore it to my last saved version and 4 hours later, I still have "iTunes is restoring the software on this iPhone. I am frustrated beyond belief as this happend twice when I had a 3G. Does anyone know how long it should take for a Restore on an iPhone 4 16 gb? Or if there is a fix for this? Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone won't update and is stuck. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

I finally got a board that is what it should be, no thanks to the people I bought the first 2 boards from. I had to RMA it to California to MSI. By the way, your NJ people were no help at all. They completely ignored me after a call to them and a promise of help. I talked to their NE rep and 2 techies. Totally useless. You had much better luck than me. I just went to MSI's main page and simply put Bios related and they e-mailed me an RMA number.
This board has all of the accessories. The first 2 didn't. I've flashed this one several times to find the best bios. Thanks for the word.

Ok i've had a quick go on this firmware myself, but not enough time to comment on the updated battery life.
-The first comment I will make is that I can truly multi task. I had music player open, that was scanning through 4 gb of data ( i have an 8gb card) while editing settings, as well as an instance of WEB open. Phone handled it all perfect and never even slowed down.
-Music player has some new functions and layout, including new icons when you don't have album art
-firmware comes with Ngage demos already built in just like the 8gb
-menus are NOTICABLY faster. Phone operates much quicker than previously overall
-Welcome menu and n-gage menu are fairly graphic intensive - this phone feels like a multimedia device now
-new nokia maps is built in to the firmware as well, couple of slick update features as well as i notice it picks up GPS signal immediately
-integrated search function
-Camera is VERY fast. shows a PROCESSING line after capture. Opens faster, takes quick pictures.

Updated IPhone 4s last night and used an enourmouse of GB from my bigpond monthly allowance, curious to exactly how much it takes to download the current updates.

OTA down payload depends on the current version on the iPhone. From 6.1.2 to 6.1.3 it is as posted above ^^.

I've just received the su5 update notification, checked the changelog, saw that i could finally change my fonts without jdeveloper crashing, got excited and pressed install without backing up my complete jdeveloper folder...
After the update was finished, my jdeveloper wouldn't start anymore. It hung at the splash screen for about 5 seconds, ate 20 mb of memory and then vanished out of my tasklist.
Please o PLEASE next time make a decent installation procedure 'cause i just had to go through hell to un-do the damage the update just did.

There is no tree generator when pattern is chosen using the fill command. I checked the scripts box but it doesn't look like the tutorial. I am running windows 7 can anyone help?

What is the exact version of photoshop your using?
Look in photoshop under Help>System Info and the top line is the photoshop version.
Anyway, if you have the latest photoshop version cc 2014.2.1, look under Filer>Render>Tree

I'm not sure that's what fixed it. Posts reporting radio issues were dropping off before the updates were released. Also people who were neither running Lion nor iTunes 10.5 reported problems and many people who ran both also did not report problems.

I don't know why this faulty code is referencing things to do with "chrome"... the Chrome browser is not installed on this PC or anywhere on our network.
Also, this is not the first problem I had after clicking Firefox's prompt for the latest update. Before Firefox retreated into this error message, it was loading but running with some faults...
1. the bookmark symbol was not appearing on the right hand side of the URL line, so I had always to click on "bookmark this page", after which the bookmark symbol did appear; however I don't know if the bookmarking function worked properly.
2. the back and forward buttons were not highlighted, as if I had not come from a previous page; so once I clicked on a link to a new page I could not go back to where I came from because Fiefox thought I hadn't come from anywhere.
3. there may have been other errors, but I did not find them.
How do I reinstate my Firefox program to work properly please? do I have to download the latest version and reinstal? if so, do I have to remove the old version first? or is there a fix?
Even to write this message I have been forced to use (yuk -- I don't like to say this!!!) Internet Explorer. So please -- I need help urgently.

Some how I solved my problem by opening a user account and downloading Firefox 4.0 beta and installing it, I did try it, worked fine, so I did close the user account and did go back to my own account(switched user), the main page that I had problem with Firefox which would not open, I dabble click on Firefox it start working again!! I hope that solves your problem too.

Why doesn't FF make the latest Update compatible with a Power PC G4?

I've got a Power PC G4 Mac, which apparently doesn't meet the System Requirements for the latest Update of Firefox: why not? In this Economy, I'm sure there are a lot of people like me still running Power PC's, yet now I can't even "suggest" to FF that they include us in the Update, because I "don't have the latest version"! I run my whole Office from my Mac, so it's still pretty darn good. What's with the disrespect?

How to find out what the latest update is for something from apple's site?

i've never been able to do this, and has been a recurring problem for many years:
how can you, using apple's web site -- presumably the support or downloads section -- find out what the latest update for/of a certain product is?
without going into the details, the software update app is of no use to me.
for example, i have a airport extreme base station 54 mbps. how do i go about finding out what it's latest software is? do such products not have a web page which has the latest update linked to from it?
why is it so hard, impossible i find, to find out what the latest software is?
any pointers much appreciated. (i'm not particularly looking for the answer to "what't the latest update for a airport extreme base station 54 mbps?" but a general method for finding out the latest update for anything using apple's web site)

If you use the Advance Search function:
http://search.info.apple.com/
you can filter results to give downloads for the search words airport extreme base station. The return will be in date order from newest to oldest. Yo ucan also designate word pairs of groups to narrow the search.
