Use the time, till Photos will be released, to consolidate your photo library. Get all places and faces tagged, all keywords, titles, and ratings ready, duplicates removed, events and albums well structured, and when Photos will be released, you can simply let it migrate the iPhoto or Aperture library to iCloud Photo Library. How do I make the marching ants bigger so I can see them?

I just "upgraded" to Photoshop CC and a new macbook pro on Yosemite.
I have been using photoshop since the 90's and this is the first time Im having serious problems with it.
The "marching ants" are impossible to see when using the magic wand to select.
Im sure there are better ways to select these days- but I have a method to my madness and need to be able to see what Im doing.
And yes my glasses prescription is up to date.
It feels like its a function of black and white imagery and this new screen which though "better" doesn't feel "better"- in fact it makes many things harder to see...
Any advice would be very very much appreciated.

2880 must make your UI look very small. I have a display that supports much higher res but to work comfortably, I drop my screen res back so I can see what I'm doing in PS and other Adobe apps.

I have 302 events in my iPhoto but only 14 are visible. Any idea what has happen to the rest?

I have iPhoto 9.5.1
I went to go look for my photos from Venice and realized that all of my events were gone except my photo streams. On the left hand side in iPhoto it tells me that I have Events (302), but only 14 show up. Also tells me that I have iPhotos (1,485), which a lot of are not showing up. I am only able to view my photo streams.

What happened before this problem occurred? Have you moved your iPhoto library? Run any cleaning/duplicate remover apps? Shared the library with another account?
Have you checked, if the search field at the bottom of the iPhoto window is cleared? If this search field is not empty, fewer events and photos will show.

What your doing now is running the bare bones unsecure router which can be used harmfully against you.

A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. If you want to transfer the music, check out the article below that will give you multiple options on how to move. I have also provided on how to sync with multiple computers.

First of all, photo stream only saves up to 1000 photos and up to 30 days before they are deleted. The only thing you can do at this point is to sync the photos from the ipad to a computer and then sync to the iphone 5.

i really hope you might be able to help me out with this,
as above ive got a bunch of photos in my camer roll,
but when i click on one of them i get a black screen with a white dot in the middle??
all 263 photos are doing the same, i tried to whatsapp one of them but its still not sending the photo as if its not there,
also tried to open one in windows and it wont open in there?
gutted as ve got some of my childrens crimbo pictures that i didnt really want to loose.

Do you have restrictions set on your phone? If not, set a restriction and turn off the camera. When you turn the restrictions off it should reset your camera without removing the pictures. I have tried this before but you may want to sync it first!

It used to show up whenever I would print something, now it doesn't and I have no idea how much ink is left in the cartridges. I have a HP Photosmart C4180 All in One Printer. I recently purchased new computer, a HP Pavilion P7-1254 AMD Vision, which runs Windows 7. I just want to know how to get the screen back that tells me how much ink I have left. Thanks.

Open the Printer Toolbox . There are two ways to do this:
Open HP Solution Center , select the Settings menu, then the Print Settings submenu, and finally the Printer Toolbox .
Open Printers and Faxes in the Windows Control Panel , then right-click your printer icon and choose Properties . Click Printing Preferences . Click the Features tab, then click the Printer Services button.
The Printer Toolbox opens. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. A cartridge may be running out of ink even if the graphic shows ink remaining (see the note at the start of this section). Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink. Replace print cartridges that are out of ink or low on ink.

You can transfer videos from your computer to the iPod Touch, but not to the Camera Roll.
The Camera Roll is for temporary storage only - for photos/videos captured by the iPod Touch and for photos saved from a received email or from a website. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

You need to install a newer Mac OS X version to get a newer version of iCal. If you're using a PowerPC Mac, you can't upgrade the OS or iCal further.
