Just did this and I'm getting update now. It is the actual OTA not a scary online download. This only clears out data that is in your phone and for some reason gets you the update to push.
The 4.0.4 update is pushing out to a massive batch of Galaxy Nexus owners as you read this, however, there are still a number of you that have yet to be prompted. If you would like to speed up the process, you can try this little trick that dozens of readers have submitted as working like a charm.
1. From your phone, head into Settings>Apps>All.
2. Search for Google Services Framework.
3. Once found, tap on it and choose “Force stop.”
4. Then choose “Clear data.”
5. Back out of Apps to your About page in Settings and check for the System update.
You may have to repeat the steps a couple of times. Good luck!

I've been playing with Google Wallet for a few months now and since getting the 4.0.4 update it's still on my GNex but looks to still be blocked from the market I mean Play Store. I was able to load Wallet from my browser on my phone by following a Youtube video. As long as Google hasn't done something to stop this work around you might wanna give it a try.

Posts from 2008 showing up in Aperture list this AM

Is this a glitch or what? This morning posts with last post dates from 2008 starting showing up at the top of the message list in *Aperture Installation, Setup and General Usage* .
Is there a problem with the list serve or am I missing something?

Hopefully the hosts will see this.
I suppose there are good reasons for the hosts doing this marking of posts so that they show up in searches. There is a danger doing this however with a topic like Aperture. All of the posts being 'bumped up' so far are from 2009 and back and cover earlier versions of Aperture (pre version 3). Now I didn't start using Aperture until version 3 so I'm not all that familiar with earlier version but I do know that were some significant changes going into version 3.
Few of the posts mention what version they are addressing, which is to be expected as at the time the only version out was the current version. However given the changes some of the information in the posts do not pertain to version 3.
For example this post from July 2009 [Creating new folders and why are they brown and blue?|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2094642&tstart=0]. Folders in 3 are all blue there are no more brown folders. A new Aperture user seeing this post will be confused at the least and could wind up using Aperture in a less then optimal way because they believe there are different types of folders that can only hold certain data.
There are others, one post from 2009 asked about Aperture and Time Machine and was told that TM and Aperture don't work together. While this was true in 2009 TM now works well with Aperture libraries.
Again I think this bumping of old posts needs to be rethought, as a minimum the posts should be modified to reflect that that are discussing prior versions of Aperture and that the information may not apply to the current version.

Clueless with this little bug

I'm a little loss with this error. I really don't know where to start but, i'll try to give as much information as possible. I'm hoping one of you gurus can shed some light to the topic.
I have a page where I initially check if the page loaded from a post, with the following code:
if (request.getMethod().equalsIgnoreCase("POST"))
now the post is suppose to come from another page. The reason why I check if it's a post, is if in case a user tries to access the page without going through the first page that posts to it, i redirect it
so the if statement goes with an

if it's a post i continue drawing the page and showing my form. Now there are no problems when I send a post from firstpage.jsp. But the problems arise when I test my code by trying to go straight to the page by typing the address in my browser. I don't get a Java error but a microsoft internal browser error (ie 5 until now). I noticed that the error ocurs while loading an image from my header of the page. If it helps, my header is inlcluded.
Now I tried commenting the if statement, and everything loaded fine, even if try to go directly to the page by typing the address, but then I don't get to redirect. I'm really at lost here, can someone give any idea what it could be?

Ok now this is becoming annoying. I mentioned above that I took of the alpha code for my image links and everything worked fine. Well I made a new page and I have similar code. It looks like this:

The microsoft internal error occus when I load my left menu. My left menu is an included jsp file. Basically it checks who the user is and displays the appropriate menu. The POST comes from the same page. I have similar pages with this kind of design and everything runs fine. Does anyone have any idea why I get an error?
My page is basically divided into 5 parts. The whole page is made of a 3 X 3 table. The first row's columns are merged and the make my header. I include a Header.jsp. In the second row, the first column is the left menu, again another inluded jsp file. The 2nd column in the middle is my body, which contains the code above. The 3rd column is the right menu, which is currently empty. Last row's columns are merged and is the footer with another inluded Footer.jsp file.
I viewed the source when I got the error, the page seems to break in the middle of my LeftMenu.jsp. I was able to load the menu option, but when I reach the links, the HTML gets cut. I finished loading the header, but haven't loaded the rest of the parts of the page.
I really hope one of you gurus can point out what I'm doing wrong. I have pages that are the same, and things go fine. I'll go run through the code again, thanks again for all the help.

Big Thanks for Menu Remote Setting from Ch. Play Lists

Just before I handed over a DVD with 5 menus and 19 Ch. Play Lists, I was reading old posts on the EncoreDVD Forum. In several posts, many of the regulars pointed out a potential problem with Menu Remote, being set to "Return to Last Menu," rather than being physically set to return to the specific menu, from which that Ch. Playlist was launched.
I had not known of this problem, beforehand, and was just assuming that "Return to Last Menu," was OK, as it was what I intended. I had not tested my Project 100% from the +RW, as I do not normally use the Menu Remote button, and all else was as I wanted it.
I made the corrections to the specific Menus for the final, and then tested the +RW again - about half of the time, the Menu Remote took me back to the Main Menu! Not what I wanted, but had not bothered checking. Much better to know now, than when the client is screening the DVD and this is creating a problem.
Thanks for the H/U on this little glitch, and providing the easy solution to it. The forums at their best!!!!
I also understand that this little quirk has been addressed and fixed in CS3.

Derivation Of partner profit center in COPA (Direct Posting from FI)

When posting from SD partner profit center is derived and transfered to COPA, so eliminations can take place.
When ever we made posting from SD, Partner profit center is coming from derivation rule which is exclusively for sales and maintained in transaction code 8KER.But whenever we made direct posting in FI, Data is transferred to COPA before profit center is derived as system does not find any data from COPA or in other words there is no any Derivation rule or table lookup or user exists in COPA from where we can derive the Partner profit center.
For testing purpose I made a derivation rule in COPA in KEDR with the same logic used in 8KER, Partner profit center is coming in COPA from this derivation rule. Derivation logic used in 8KER is very simple : source filed is KUNNR from table KNA1 and target Field is Partner Profit Center : PPRCTR from table CEPC.
I mean that i derive the partner profit center from customer number in 8KER transaction which is only for SALES and in EC-PCA only.
Now whenever I do a direct posting from FI, suppose using transaction code F-02
but partner profit center is not coming. I made a another derivation rule in KEDR in COPA and maintained the rule values there and I got the success for deriving the partner profit center.
But my query is that If I am maintaing rule values in 8KER then why I maintain the same duplicate data in KEDR.Can we use the same rule values from 8KER for direct posting of FI.
I have tried with Table lookup, derivation rule in KEDR but not getting any success.
Please tell me that without maintaing rule values in KEDR (as these are already maintain in 8KER)how I can derive the partner profit center from FI posting.Or in other words i can say that how we can get both PCA as well as COPA document with partner profit center in case of FI direct posting.

For Example, i post document in FB60, i assign cost center against GL expense account, if i assign profit segment the amount reflects in COPA, but i want when i assign required cost center it automatically active the profit segment ?

Problem in BAPI for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage

I am using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE for stock posting from quality inspection to unrestricted usage Stock against quality inspection lot(not by MB1B) using mvt type 321.The material doc gets created by the BAPI,but actual stock posting is not taking place ie.the stock doesn’t get reflected in QA33/32 and QA11 also .Can any one suggest what must be wrong?The inputs given are as follows:
GOODSMVT_HEADER:
PSTNG_DATE =30/07/2014, DOC_DATE = 30/07/2014, REF_DOC_NO = INSP LOT NO.
GOODSMVT_CODE:
GM_CODE: ‘04’ .

Accounting document not posted from billing document SD module

Dear Sir,
I am encounting a weird issue in SD module, that is when I am saving the billing document the system will generate accounting document automatically from my ID but when the same process will perform from the other ID having same rights and previligies then system prompt the folllowing message .
"Tax code C1 does not appear in any G/L account item"
It means the system allow a specific user to post accounting document with reference to billing document but not allowing to post from any other ID.
Apparently this issue related to basis module. we have checked in the basis area as well . still unable to get ane resolution for this issue.

In that case, I would suggest you check Change Message Control for Taxes follow following path in SPRO:
IMG - Financial Accounting (New) - Tax on sales/purchases - Basic setting - Change Message Control for Taxes
Check corresponding doc to it and go through different Application Area, particularly, FF
Also refer SAP Note 495737 - Customizable messages in FI_TAX_SV_BSEG_BSET_GROSS

2 Questions re getting rid of songs & keeping little hands from downloading

1. Got my new iPhone last week but my niece nicely took it and loaded up some tunes from her itunes before i got to use it on my pc. Now when I plug it into my iTunes it wont open my iPhone details or let me delete what she put on for me- how do I do this?
2. Also how do i stop little hands from downloading onto my iPhone when I'm not looking. They're very careful with the phone so I dont want to stop them playing with it but they have got carried away with downloading before. Ie can I username and password access to iTunes downloads?

Also Re #2---Settings, General, Restrictions will let you block access to some things, including iTunes. I think you would have to turn on the Restrictions each time you pass the phone to the children, though.
Also, I am not totally sure, but I think iTunes remembers your password for a little while---eg, if you download a song and then immediately give the phone to the child, it may not ask again until you are inactive for a while or quit.

If I reverse the document through KB24N, it will prompt error message:-
"You want to reverse a CO document which has an external reference. You cannot reverse the external document within the Controlling component. The reversal must run via the external document number."
I can change it to warning message, but is there a better way to do this? Can we reverse via the external document dumber?
Can this function BAPI_ACC_ACT_POSTINGS_REVERSE workable? How to execute it?

Override Company and Cost Center for FI Posting from HR Payroll

Hello all. I have this scenario with a company that was merged into another and retroactive payroll occurs for absences and extra time in the "old" company, but the "old" merged company is closed so no postings can occur.

We suppose that retroactive differences could be accounted in the new company code but I didnu2019t found any way to do it even in the BADI SMOD_PCPO0001 I couldnu2019t find a way to change the company code/cost center....
Does anyone have dealt with the same problem? What is the solution?

The CO account assignment object belongs to company code 0001, not 0057
Company code 0057 is now closed and has been merged into 0001. Cost center 14515 in the above doc was populated by my clone of RPCIPE00 and call to my BAdI which retrieved current company and cost center from PA0001. You can see from above that the 'header' data still shows 0057 and indeed, my version of RPCIPE00 only changes P_ITEM-BUKRS, P_ITEM-KOSTL and P_ITEM-SGTXT. It looks to me that fm HRPP_TRANSLATE_FICO gets the 'header' company code afresh. I was planning to leave WPBP-BUKRS (and all other Payroll data) alone (ie, not override company code).
As for your other question, we post retros to /551 and /552.

If there's no splace that specializes in it, I guess I'll just do Craigslist or Ebay, but thought I'd ask on here first.
But I have to say I am super impressed with this little guy. I have iTunes going, Photoshop running, grabbing files from my other computer on the network, have final cut pro 6 open editing HDV footage!, have iPhoto open running through pics, MS Word 2004 open and Cabos downloading some stuff!
And I have 644 MB of Ram left over. And everything's running really well! I am so impressed. I really never expected this from something that, well, isn't supposed to be doing all this.
If you're in the market for this laptop, I really recommend it!

Ram is so cheap right now it is hard to sell used RAM and get a price that makes it worthwhile.
I always keep my old RAM. If something goes wrong with my computer and I need to trouble shoot it I sometimes place the old RAM in to rule out the new RAM as being the problem. If something happens to the new RAM and I need to send it in for warranty I can put the old RAM in and keep running.
