Just completed post on a 48 Hour film competition and I have to acknowledge...
Adobe CS5.5 was instrumental in getting us to the finish line ( 48 Hours start to finish) ... on time and with a great result.
( Acknowledging awesome writers , crew, audio guys and others as well)... but..
CS5.5 Suite ...Native editing, real time edits(CUDA/MPE) and fast rendering made a huge difference.
Our delivery requirement was file based H264 (to a spec)
The entire Adobe Suite was flawless and rock solid.
Well, if you had product placement for Stihl Chainsaws, then all should be good.
Here's hoping for the best.
Going back a lifetime, or two, we were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Industrial Short, and I went out to get fitted for a new tux. Unfortunately, we were eliminated in the first cut, so never even made it to the list, that the big names even mention in the awards presentation. Hey, that new tux lasted me for several more years, as I "out grew" my previous one... Wish that I could still fit into it now, but that is life. At my age, a 32" waist is not even something that I can remember with any clarity - unfortunately!
Hope that you have a better video (than did I, though it was film back then) and more luck, than I did, so very, very long ago. That might have been my highest moment, though also my lowest point, when we were immediately eliminated. Still, I have some fond memories to share with children gathered at my feet (though not MY children) over a glass of Port, as I wax poetic. Maybe if I'd convert my Umax tape and re-edit? Nah, it just was not THAT good.
Remember, trailer time for the assembled masses. I'll dig out the Cloudy Bay SB's, in your honor (or is that honour?).

how can I print just a part of the page and not the full page with Adobe Reader v 10.1.2? I need to print a engineering print with lot of information but information is too small in letter size and I don't have a plotter.
Two ways to print a portion of a page: zooming or using the Snapshot Tool.
ZOOMING:
Zoom into the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure "Current view" is selected under "More options" (you may need to click "More options" to open it).
If you aren't satisfied with the preview, try clicking "Fit" under the Size button.
SNAPSHOT
Choose Edit > Take A Snapshot.
Drag a rectangle around the area you want to print.
Click the Print icon.
Under "Pages to Print", make sure that "Selected Graphic" is selected under "More options".
To enlarge the snapshot to fit the sheet of paper, choose "Fit" under the Size button.

Does the Dreamweaver team work at Adobe?
Here's why I ask. We're in CS6 now, which is what, the 12th version of dreamweaver? I keep thinking, maybe there's going to be bridge integration someday. Mini-bridge would be awesome. But it's like the dreamweaver team has never seen another Adobe product. Yes, there's a place in dreamweaver as a bridge option (if the image is already resized, and you want it stored in your root directory), but from Dreamweaver there's no preview in bridge (we can explore with Windows file explorer, that's an option, but no mention of bridge). I keep hoping I can draw an image placeholder in golive, select a file in bridge, and the option 'Place an optimized file created in these dimensions in your current directories files' will appear, but that option isn't there. Contribute had that back in CS1, but Dreamweaver makes me work for it. It gives me the ability to draw a placeholder to dimensions, but then I have to open photoshop, resize it, save it, and find it.
And finding images is hard, because there's no mini-bridge! Want to view all the images you have in a directory so you can select the right thumbnail to place on your page? Better use another program. Sure, there's the asset view, where you can wait while dreamweaver creates microscopic thumnails of every image in every directory, but something as simple as view files as thumbnails - not this time. Maybe CS7?
And as long as I'm griping about features that every other program in the world seems to have mastered, would it be so hard to have real-time spell check? I don't think I own another program (or device) that let's me mis-type as happily as dreamweaver. Yes, if I remember I can run a command to spell check, but why make me remember? Why not incorporate the same (dare I say technology?) that Microsoft has used for all of this century and much of the last, and just put a squiggly line under my screw-ups?
Please, Adobe, spend a little more time thinking about the people that use your products (I know I'm not the only person who puts images on web pages!), and less time coming up with new programs like Muse so we don't have to use the programs we already love.Although I know it's never been considered DW is always looking for ways to expand. I can hear where you are coming from, however, from a priorities perspective from other posts I've seen, removing the old functionality and trying to bring in the standards of HTML5 and CSS3 is more important, because as Nancy and PZ eluded to, people have been doing it this way for years and competitors are coming out with better ways to handle the new technologies and DW needs to be on the cutting edge there. Based on the web fonts that was introduced in CS6, I would like to see integration with Font Management tools. With InDesign and Photoshop you don't know how often I rely on those external (non-Adobe) tools to tell me what fonts are in use and to be able to select any font on my system to use on the webpage (given that you have the rights to the font of course).
I will say this about your last paragraph. I did recently upgrade to the CS6 suite, but your comment there is one of the reasons I have not gone into the Cloud. I feel like my money would be supporting that product when I don't need/want to use it. -
I am using Adobe XI Pro and in various parts of the document there is brown / biege lettering when on the document it shows as black. My printer guy has been in and checked it out top to bottom and that part is fine. I have tried to print the same document and it comes out fine. Any ideas ? Using Windows 7 Service Pack 1

i am trying to download CS6 design standard. but it wont work. the second part of the download comes up with the following message "The message says" the file archive part of Adobe CS6 Design Standard is missing. you need all parts in the same folder in order to extract adobe CS6 Design Standard. Please download all parts."
Does anyone know what to do?Do as it says: Put your downloaded 7z file and the *.exe in a proper folder, not just dump it onto your desktop or whatever.

I just purchased Photoshop 13 for PC MS Windows 8.1 In trying to install, I get the following message after clicking on the 2nd file. "The file archive part of Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. Please download all parts.: I've also gotten an Exit Code: 7 when trying to install. I've turned my McAfee virus system off while trying to install.

There is only one file to download - which one depends on your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
These are the trial versions but will convert to the full version when you supply your serial number.

I have had Adobe XI for about two years and My harddrive just crashed. My backups were part of the failure so I can't get it back. I purchased it from a third part supplier and it was a download. I need to find out how to get it restored. I can send screen shots of all of the drive location where the drive is still good and I can see my Adobe Acrobat pro information, but the download itself is missing. NEXT STEP?
If you are talking about Reader (you did post in the Reader forum), then just download http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise. However Reader is free not purchasable. You can download a trial then install using your serial number, which if you didn’t register or write down somewhere you will be out of luck to track down.

Can an Adobe Bridge web gallery slideshow file be inserted in Dreamweaver as part of the homepage?
Hello. I am designing the homepage of my first website in Adobe Dreamweaver CS6. And I would like for the page to include a slideshow that automatically plays as soon as a visitor opens the webpage. I am interested in using Adobe Bridge to create the slideshow using the feature "web gallery." The tutorials that I've seen describe how to create the web gallery slideshow, then show how it appears when uploaded to the web as an html file through FTP to a server. It appears as a separate page. And I notice that the web gallery file is an index file. I would appreciate knowing how to include the html file as part of the homepage. Will simply renaming the file from being "index.html" to something like "my_first_slideshow.html" make possible including it in the site structure? Or will doing so cause it and the files attached to it to be inaccessable when viewed in a browser? If it can be included in the site, is an <iframe> needed to be in the code for the slideshow to fit into? Thank you.

The toolbar in the adobe app that allows you to choose the brightness level and the page layout doesn't hide. Because of that, i of course am unable to read the top part of the page. I cannot find anything in the settings that will make it go away. What do i do? I use Samsung Ace.

I have some videos that are completely well shown when using any media player, but some parts of the video appear with red screens when I try to edit them on Adobe Premier. Does anyone knows the reason?

I've opened a bug for this issue as well. I want to ask if anyone experiencing the same issue and has found a workaround. Basically Air Runtime is picking up the wrong launch image when launching on iPhone 6. It defaults to [email protected] instead of the [email protected] iOS 8 picks the correct image but Air Runtime does not. Here is the link for the bug. If this is confirmed, this could result in rejection for all the app developers who optimized their apps for iPhone 6 . It is hard to catch this bug in release mode since the Air Runtime loads pretty fast and it occurs when you device is slow or doing something in the background. You can see it easily on iOS simulator or debug mode. We tried everything for a workaround but we failed.

When you open a new project in xcode you can look at Contents.json and see the naming conventions they use for iOS8. We grabbed the new naming convention from here. Also setting up in the application xml the UILaunchImages key works too. Please see the below example. It would be a better solution if Adobe Air refers to xml/info.plist values that the developer sets instead of hard-coded naming conventions.

Try extracting all of the files from the zip file first. I received this same error when trying to run the exe from within the zip.

I am using adobe photoshop cs6. I am facing a problem. When i save any image as "save for web". After saving image it show cropped. An image show many parts of the image after saving the image. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
Just go back in photoshop and use the Slice Select tool, then just click and select the slice and hit delete - if you're not sure which one is the active slice just right click and find the one that has the Delete Slice option.
It's possible you either added the slices by accident or if you received it from someone they just had the slices hidden. For the future, you can go to View > Show > Slices to display (or hide) slices.
