i know apple is big on artist protection
so i was wondering
could an evil PC user with all these ripping programs out there copy my dvd on a regular PC? how much protection does iDVD give when "authoring" the dvd becuase im sure its safe unles someone has the big guns with a duplicator but if some lazy so and so wanted to pop in my dvd and try to burn it with some windows hack program could they? i didnt really worry about this with my first dvd it wasnt a big deal but this one is my baby and putting alot of money into it so i dont want some disrespecting little punk burning it on his XP

But if you don't mind working a bit...
Put a serial number on the main menu of each disc you hand out, and keep a record of who got which disc. That way when an unauthorized copy shows up, you can figure out who the punk was.
It would be a pain in the neck, but it would actually be more effective than most protection schemes, as it lets you finger the offender rather than simply slowing him down a little.

I believe the issue is with the Apple ID that was used to purchase the App. If you download an App that was purchased under a different Appple ID then all updates will also be linked to the original purchaser's Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the the same ID as your iTunes, iCloud, etc. Some folks use different ID for the different Apple sites. No need for that One ID for all Apple Sites, and if someone else buys an App using their ID and they(you) download that App onto your device and that App requires an update it will ask for the purchasers Apple ID. This happens a lot when folks sell their iPad or give it to someone else and leave some purchased(free) Apps on the iOS device. You cannot change the original ID the App was purchased under. A suggestion would be if someone else has an App that you like but do not want to pay for use their ID or in the future have them gift the App to you.

It appears that you have to buy the applecare within 30 days of buying your phone - you said that your phone warranty is almost over, so when did you buy it??? That could be the explanation for the error.

If you are not in the USA, click the 'Change country' link at the very bottom and select your country. this will take you to the Store page for that country - at the very bottom right you will find a phone number.

Your home network must have a wireless router somewhere in the house. All of your wireless devices use the same router password to connect to the network. That's where the password is stored and used. Log into your wireless network router and look under the wireless menu section. You should find your password there. If you have other wireless devices connected to your network maybe one of those will display the password. If your router is also password protected and you can't remember that either then your only solution is to reset the router to factory defaults and start over to rebuild your network. With security becoming more and more important these days most passwords are encrypted and not displayed in the open on any devices, including routers. It's extremely important that you remember or have the password written down somewhere and locked away for just such an occasion. Good luck.

Would It be ok to get the apple protection plan on ebay and get it for 150 rather the the 250 from the apple store.. ?

Well - I suppose that you could buy it and if it isn't what they advertised you can get a refund - but read the description carefully.
If it's really AppleCare, and it's for the Mac you have - and it hasn't been used - and Apple says it's OK, then I would do it.

If you mean the Extended Warranty, then, no, Apple does not replace stolen or lost iPhones. If you have theft protection through other insurance, then report it to your agent. Be sure to report the theft to the police.
I would not hold your breath waiting for it to be recovered, however. Very few items like iPhones that have been stolen are ever recovered.

Content acquired with an Apple ID is permanently tied to that ID.
There is no reason to create a new Apple ID, frankly that will just create more issues.
It is possible to load content from multiple Apple ID's onto a single device. If the content is in the computer that the device syncs with, simply select the content and sync it.

I bought my iPod from Circuit City in June (also bought a $50 warranty thingie with it), but Apple says my one-year warranty expires in 19 days. Can I correct them? Also, is it worth it shelling out $59 for the additional 2 years of Apple protection? Does said protection cover battery service and repairs?

Do you mean the Applecare Protection Plan (APP) warranty? Is this the "warranty thingie" you bought at Circuit City?

Go to http://www.apple.com/support/ and put your iPod serial number in at the bottom right. It will show you how long you have left on your warranty (original or extended).

It is an additional one year (not two years more) of protection for a total of two years from purchase.
A battery replacement after 6 months but inside one year warranty is ~$29 for shipping.

APP also gets you free telephone support for the entire waranty period. Teh standard warranty that comes with the iPod is one support incident in the first 90 days (you are already past this).

Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 ...but I doubt they cover theft/losing the device.
