That's not a face!

With drag-select, it's easy to confirm/reject A3's face guesses.
In many cases, however, it's picking up patterns in the background and calling it a face. Is there an easy way to tell A3 that something isn't a face at all so it stops trying to assign a person to it?

Yup, I have the same problem. I several Christmas photo's where the decorations on the tree are showing up as faces. If you click on "Not a face" it is only removes it from the current session. It does not permanently tag as not being a face.
This also occurs when assign faces and you reject a photo.
I would really be nice if the DB was capable of tagging non-faces and rejected faces. It seems that is only is really maintaining when a face is assigned.

    In iPhoto '11: Select the photo in the "Faces" stack, open the "Info" panel, click on the face name in the "faces" brick and then on the name below the face to edit the name.

  • Faces   Iphoto detecting areas that are not faces and can't add faces!!

    Blast! Been working very hard on an erase and reinstall. One of the problems I was having with iPhoto was that when I clicked the Info on iPhoto it just shut down. Now I have reinstalled it and this time I can open Info but I cannot add a face. The only way I can add a face is for iPhoto to detect the face for me (which is doesn't do very well) and rename it from there. The face detected is probably not a face at all! If I try to add a face and move the box and name it - then exit from the photo - is goes back to no faces detected again, and adding a face again but not in the right place??? Very frustrating - any clues?

    Thank you - Yes; regrettably so! It is finding faces that aren't there once I click add face. I move the box to the face and name. When I close folder and reopen the faces have gone. If I click add a face and it 'finds' a face in the right position and name it - then it will stay. It just doesn't like being told that the face it has assumed is a face isn't actually a face at all!

    To start with I have three tables joining to Cust (customer) table in physical layer
    Cust-Seg (Segments)-------------------------------->>Cust via segment key
    Cust-Geo (customer Geographics)-------------->>Cust via address key
    in the BMM layer under the CUST table when I pull in Cust- seg it works fine .
    But it gives an warning [39008] -if iI create a single LTS for the product with the join for all 3 tables
    The Same warning appears when i import th Cust -seg table as Logical table

  • Can EJB 3.0 beans be used with tables that do not have a primary key?

    Can a EJB 3.0 persistence bean be used with tables that do not have a primary key defined? I am building a test application based on the HowTo - Building EJB 3.0 Faces App paper posted after Openworld (schalk). The issue I am running into when trying to run the application is: Exception Description: Entity class [class com.persistence.Rpthead] has no primary key specified. Note: I get a simular error when using toplink directly.
    The tables I am binding to do not have primary keys defined. They use unique constraints to manage the table integrity.
    Is it possible to use EJB 3.0 on tables without a primary key? If not, are there plans to support this in the future?

    The spec requires a primary key Id annotation. I will take your suggestion to EJB 3.0 expert group.
    Can you also send an email to [email protected] with your requirement?

  • The list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist

    Hi,
    This issue has been discussed many times in this forum , the reason why I am posting is I tried the resolution steps but I dont see any luck.
    I am getting the below message from the SharePoint designer 2007 when I am trying to modify a workflow
    "This list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist. Some actions will not be available. The assembly strong name is Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowActions, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c.
    Contact your server administrator for more information."
    #1 : One of the post says "Normally you would see that error because someone has extended the Workflow actions available in SPD with a custom action developed in Visual Studio.  These custom actions are loaded when your workstation reads the WSS.ACTIONS
    file on the server.  The file is located in the 12 hive under Template\1033\workflow.  Your WSS.Actions file contains a reference to a custom action .dll which is not available on the server."
    I opened the WSS.Actions file in notepad, I dont see any line with *.dll in it. Am I missing something?
    #2: Another post says "The solution I discovered was that the server running my SharePoint Services was not up to .NET 3.0.  As soon as I updated to .NET 3.0 everything worked.I had made sure the machine running SharePoint Designer was updated, but
    had missed the SHarePoint Services server."
    The server is already updated to .Net 3.0.
    #3: I went to the %System Drive%\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\SharePointDesigner.
    Deleted the ProxyAssemblyCache folder but no luck.
    Just checking if any one was able to resolve this issue by following any of the solution other than the above mentioned ones.
    Thanks,
    Cutloo

        I have the similar issue with my custom work flow. I have searched the whole day for the solution but no success, then at last a simple track works for me. Please try this if any one faces such issue.
    Basically the assembly that we have define in the ACTIONS file dose not exists on the server, because of two reasons, either we have given the wrong assembly name (in our case the namespace name inside our solution) or the PublicKeyToken may differ from the
    original assembly, that are deployed in GAC.
        So cross check both of these, in my case the assembly name was fine,
     <Action
        Name="Move Item to Another List and Send Email"
        ClassName="MyAssemblyName.Classname"
        Assembly="MyAssemblyName,Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4053d1fde8a1c781"
        AppliesTo="all"
        Category="Email actions">
    But the problem was in the 'PublicKeyToken', so i double click on the feature inside my solution,then in the bottom i have clicked on the manifest tab to check the entries.
    <Feature xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/" Title="MyAssemblyName Feature1" Id="f7f1bda0-5f65-40f1-a705-f6f15a41da3a" ReceiverAssembly="MyAssemblyName, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0c32dbb769ed64b5"
    ReceiverClass="MyAssemblyName.Features.Feature1.Feature1EventReceiver" Scope="WebApplication"></Feature>
    Here i got the actual PublicKeyToken for my assembly (0c32dbb769ed64b5), i have replaced this number inside ACTIONS file, deploy the soultion, reset IIS.
    It works for me,

    Try:
    - Powering off and then back on your router.
    - iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
    - Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
    Public DNS — Google Developers
    OpenDNS IP Addresses
    - For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
    - Try on another computer/network
    - Wait if it is an Apple problem

  • Identify special characters that are not supported by an embeded font

    Hi!
    I'm useing embeded fonts as CFF in my flex 4.5.1 application and I have problems with the special charcters  like Ă, Â, Î, Ș, Ț or arabic text, that are not included in my embeded font. This are displayed in my RichEditableTect component useing the default font (Arial).
    Is there any way to block the user when he tries to add such characters?
    Or can  I identify them before saveing , in order to format the text like <Text Font="ExoticFont"...>Hello<Text font-family="Arial">ë</Text></Text> ?

    I think you want to use Font.hasGlyphs.  If you are using the @font-face directive it is hard to get to the Font class so you may wish to switch to using the directive.

    Hello
    I think I got the cause.
    Class PreferencesBean does not exist as it should be.
    JDeveleloper looks up the class in : oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/PreferencesBean
    where I found the class exists in oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/ui/PreferencesBean
    This class was included in the "Application Core(Viewcontroller) library , in
    D:\JDev11116\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\oaext\adflib\Common-View.jar
    As a workaroundI copied the class file to the correct location in a new jar file and added it to the project library.
    but that did not fix it as the package path is coded in the class and i got the following error instead
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/PreferencesBean (wrong name: oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/ui/PreferencesBean)
    The question is , why JDeveloper is referencing incorrect location of the class ??

  • Displaying an Image that's NOT inline

    Hi,
    We have Oracle Portal Version: 9.0.2.3.0B
    When we upload images they ALWAYS display inline EVEN if we choose "Link That Displays Item In Full Browser Window" or "Link That Displays Item In New Browser Window".
    For some reason these settings are ignored.
    Now i realize that i could upload it as a type:FILE which i'm sure will be the solution offered. But that's not the point as i'd prefer to use the type:IMAGE that Oracle makes available. Not only that, i need to create a new item type based on the Image type.
    Am i doing something wrong here? Do i have to triple-click or quadruple-click to enable these settings? :-) Or are they just presented to tease us? Or,..is it a bug?

    Chris -
    Check the properties for the region the image items are shown in. On the Attribute/Style tab make sure the Displayed Attributes area does not have "image" in it anywhere. I.e. if you want the display name, ensure only "display Name Link" is there and not "Display Name and Image Link" which is the default.
    Whatever attributes are listed here will show if they exist for the item type ... and let's face it - an image item definitely has an image attribute :)
    Hope this helps,
    Candace

  • IPhoto 9.4.1 and Aperture upgrade results in spinning gear that does not stop.

    After installing the most recent bundled upgrade for iPhoto and Aperture and responding "continue" to the question I have a spinning gear which has been spinning for more than ten (yes ten) hours.
    I have successfully closed both programs but wonder how to proceeed.  I am running Mountain Lion including the most recent update last week.  My photo library is on an external hard drive due to its size.  My guess is because because I have updated both iPhoto and Aperture the "necessary retagging" that results in the spining gear (not pin wheel) is extensive.  Am I correct that Aperture and iPhot share a common photo library of photos?
    Any suggestions - work arounds - to resolve this issue would be greatly apprecated.

    No, Aperture and iPhoto do not share a common library unless you tell them to.
    iPhoto:
    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD
