The 10.7.4 update doesnt show
I dont know why, but update manager doesnt show the 10.7.4 update for me, how come?
im on 10.7.3 mac mini, nothing special...
There's no update manager in Mac OS X, only Software Update. If that's not showing the update, then manually download the appropriate ones from http://support.apple.com/downloads/

My update software doesnt show any updates after is checks but im running on 10.5.8 and i know i need to update..
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Even with the recent Mac Mail Mavericks update and showing my "All Mail" Gmail folder, Mail.app is still acting funky and slow. Any further suggestions for getting Mail.app back to it's pre-Mavericks state?
Your description of the problem is rather vague, but I'll take a guess at what you mean.
Quit Mail if it's running. Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V).
You should see a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) appear below what you entered. If not, press return. You can then quit Terminal and relaunch Mail. Test.
Note: This procedure will have no effect unless you quit Mail when you begin. -
4.4 update doesnt show the Fuji x pro 1 camera for lens adjustments etc
Looking forward to this update because i use a Fuji X pro 1 and I had read that lightroom 4.4 now supports this camera and sensor.
However after updating all I get in the Lens adjustment under Fuji is the Fuji x100 which has been their for some time.
The exif info is showing the correct camera and lens used etc.
I have tried uninstalling and then manually removing any left over files and folders with no luck.
Do i have to install support for this camera as an addon?
Also if i look in the lightroom folder Camera profiles/camera it only lists Canon, Nikon and Sony
Any ideas.?

The Adobe Standard peer folder of the Camera folder you mention has the raw-sensor profiles for each camera that Adobe supports which and is where you’ll find your Fuji raw-sensor profile.
Your question seems to be about a lens-profile, though, not the raw-sensor profile and those profiles are up one more folder and down into the LensProfiles folder area.
There aren’t that many brands of camera-lens combinations supported by Adobe and the X Pro 1 is one that isn’t one that is supported by Fuji, and just the X100 is, which you’ve already discovered.
There are additional profiles that have been created by users such as yourself and published for other users to use that can be downloaded by the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader; however, there are none for the X Pro 1, there, either, so you’ll either need to create your own lens profile using the Adobe Lens Profile Creator, or wait for another user to create a lens profile, or do without. This is the normal situation for most non-high-end cameras.
Adobe pays people to do things and prioritizes tasks, pruning ones that are “less necessary” or “less beneficial” using whatever criteria they have. This is normal in a market-driven economy where there is always a balance between price and service. If LR was twice as expensive, then Adobe might be able to provide more profiles, but there would be less Fuji owners buying it due to the higher price, right? If the world economy picks up and more people buy Adobe products, assuming people still use PCs and Macs and not tablets, then there may be more money to throw at things like profiles for camera-xyz. -

I have a mac book pro that i bought in late 2009. My current software is snow leopard version 10.5.8. I would like to get the new lion operating system but I cant without first getting the latest version of snow leopard. however when I go to update my software it doesnt show that any update is available.
10.5.8 is Leopard, not Snow Leopard. You need the Snow Leopard DVD;

My aperture 3.0 doesnt show up in the software update
How can i force my A3 to update - it wont let me download it because it says i need A3 installed --(and it definately IS) and it doesnt show up when using software update either.
What file is missing to get this to do it and how do i fix it?
- i tried deleting A3 from applications and using my install disk to reinstall it - didnt workPerhaps you renamed Aperture to something like "Aperture 3" (some people did this when keeping Aperture 2 on the system concurrently). Make sure it's just named "Aperture" and it is in the base level of your Applications folder.

I just purchased a MacBook Pro Retina. Checked my OSX and it is version 10.8.1... trying to find a way to upgrade to a higher version. In the app store it doesnt show the update nor downloading the new Mountain Lion OXS doesnt work. Please help

Not yet. There was an upgrade page to 10.8.2 for the late 2012 models but it's down now. I have to assume that Apple pulled it because of some bugs. I would look for something next week, more likely than not. In the meantime, the OP should be good with 10.8.1 until the update shows up again.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
