The 10.7 won't show that I installed it after it downloading and restarting. What am I doing wrong?

If Lion isn't showing in the About this Mac window, then you need to install it. All the Mac Apple Store does is put the installer into /Applications. You need to run it, but before you do, make a copy and put it somewhere else, since the stupid installer deletes itself during the installation process, forcing another obnoxious and lengthy download if you ever need to reinstall it.

Hello, my father recently passed (using his ID) and I took over the payments on his mac and took his computer. I am not that familiar with mac, but am usually computer savy. However, this one has me stumped. I have no problem starting the built in cam and it seems to work fine with all other programs I've tried using it with. However, it will not work with yahoo. Whether I use normal yahoo messenger or if I try using Yahoo through I chat. The cam button will not light up, therefore, it is not clickable. Which ultimately means I cannot use my cam on yahoo, which is something I use 99% of the time compared to other programs. So why is this happening and what solutions can I take to try and fix this? The mac I am using is: Mac OS X, Version 10.7.4

1) If the iTunes preference window is open when you connect your iPod, the iPod will not be recognized by iTunes.
Also, iPods can work with many iTunes libraries, so that is not the problem here.
Is all the software on your computer up to date?

Does the iPod show up in My Computer when connected to your computer? Does it say Do Not Disconnect?

2) What part aren't you understanding. Here are a couple of free programs you can use to convert videos...
MPEG Streamclip
Videora iPod Converter
The programs should come with documentation and instructions to convert videos.
3) You can go to file-->add file to library, file-->add folder to library, or have iTunes open and drag the files into the iTunes library while viewing the library.. You can also import from CDs.
iTunes needs to be adding the songs to the iPod. You cannot just add the song files to the iPod.

I deleted all Apps on iPad as they were associated with an out of date Apple ID and I could not update them, but the "App Store" logo still shows that there are 2 to be updated and when I go there I cannot delete. Please assist. Thanks.

Why don't you explain what happens when you try to delete these two apps that are showing that they need updates. You can only delete them if they are actually installEd on the iPad. Are they on the device?

An external hyperlink should handoff to Safari and leave iBooks.
If that's not happening, perhaps there is something misconfigured on your iPad? Have you manually confirmed those links work in Safari on your iPad?

Anniversaries are not available as a calendar item in the same way birthdays are. You would need to create a specific calendar and add those manually.

My iPhone won't show up in iTunes on my new Macbook Air. What am I doing incorrectly?

So I am setting up my new MacBook Air (purchased on Black Friday), so it's new. And everything is going well, I'm signed in to my iTunes account, I have downloaded all my purchases from iCloud and I have authorized the Air. HOWEVER, when I plug-in my iPhone 5S to my Air, the photos import, but nothing else. It doesn't show up in iTunes as one of the "devices." So it syncs the photos, but nothing in iTunes.
Did I miss something? What am I doing wrong here?

I've tried plugging my iPhone in the computer multiple times and it keeps telling me to update iTunes after I already have. What am I doing wrong?

So I just got an iPhone 4s and it won't allow me to sync it on my computer. ITunes keeps telling me to update to at least version 11.1 and I have done that. Even though i've updated it still won't allow me to sync. If someone knows what i'm doing wrong and could help it would be greatly appreciated.

I am having difficult problems with the FocusritePro14 it works for a few then the firewire light flashes it cuts in an out then my MacBookPro crashes and restarts what can be the problem?

I am trying to figure out why this interface never works like it should, I have the lastest drivers 10.8 OS, The firewire cuts in an out and then crahses my computer, it was working fine for a good month, and then it does this. The people at Focusrite are clueless to what is going on. This is horrible engenerring on there part. There are three lights on the interface they all light up, then half way through a recording or just lisiting to music, the FW light flashes and cuts out, and now the mac is rebooting when it does that. I highly doubt it is a simple fix, or a bad wire. I have the original cable for the interface that came with it, hooked up to a sonet adapter to fit in the macbook pro because the geniuses at apple decided that they would make that port small.

You are being asked to Install iTunes 11 on your Computer.

Not sure I understand the question... if you're trying to download apps to your Mac that you've downloaded to your iOS device, note that the Mac and the iPhone/iPad use two completely separate operating systems, therefore you need to purchase/download separate app versions for each OS.

I load Adobe Flash, even with virus checker off, go through the process, all is fine. I try to look at a video and it says I need the latest version of Adobe Flash. I've done this dozens of times. What am I doing wrong?

It seems like the new version of Adobe Flash is installed. Everything seemed like a smooth installation.

Did you download the "OS" version? How & where did you search? Use Sherlock or a 3rd party search software?
Check inside your Download folder as well as your Applications folder if you have not already done so.

Well, sure, you pay a monthly fee, but Wifi is not charged on a usage basis. Data plans, yes, but that is related to cellular usage, not Wifi.
By free, I just meant that above whatever you pay to your internet provider for your internet access and your modem, it is not affected by how much you are or are not on your Wifi or how much you use it....
