as can be seen from the Wiki I maintain, I'm a bit of an OSS Notes geek.
As we move towards the 2,000,000th OSS Note, I wonder who from SAP
will get that Note ?

wow! Makes you wonder really how huge SAP is.
When I started my SAP career a professor once told me that it was impossible to completely understand every part of SAP as a human being. My initial reaction was:"Oh yeah, well I'm gonna show you!"
But when I first logged on to R/3 and found out that there were more than 73.000 transactions I stood corrected
This was more than 10 years ago
It is probably close to impossible to even read 2.000.000 notes in 1 human lifetime.

Creating the BAdI implementation: se19(OSS note )

I have to apply a Note 1330434 ( FBL5N: Performance improvement by changed selection.) in our ECC.6.0.

when I go to se19,
Under "Create Implementation", choose "Classic BAdI"... give FI_ITEMS_CH_DATA or FDM_AR_ITEM_ATTR_GET
and then press button 'create impl.'
then it says "Badi definition FI_ITEMS_CH_DATA does not exist."
I struck up at 3rd part of the note (BADI creation/implementation part of the note.).
Please suggest me how to apply this Badi part of the note ?

Are you sure this note is for your system. I am also working in ECC6. I checked but I couldn't find the defibition too. Make sure note is for your component version and if it is report this problem to OSS.

OSS note 506603 What is it And where can I get it?

I am trying to create my form with a SAP Table wizard connection, when I try to use the Table wizard I got the error: "No such interface supported". I can see in a lot of comments the solution is on OSS note 506603. I was trying to find this patch in the sdn site but I could not find it. I am not sure if it is a document, an exe file, a dll,,, and when I see the same question asking where to get the OSS note 506603 there is no answer, could somebody help me telling me what is this and where can I get the patch? I would really appreciate it.

OSS note is the older nomenclature for what is now SAP Notes.

The SAP wizard table does not work. Existing tables are not recognized.
Both problems are solved by the patch attached to this note. Stop all instances of Visual Studio and unpack the ZIP file into the "%Program Files%\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003/Common7/IDE" directory, whereby the "SAP.Connector.Design.DLL" file is replaced.

OSS Note and SAP Note are the same thing.
Support Package / Support Package Stack refers to a group of corrections and/or enahcnements which include a group of OSS Notes, and changes to multiple components that SAP has tested as a group and recommends be installed together.
I think Patch may be a little more ambigous. For some, they might mean Support Package when they use the term Patch, or maybe even an OSS Note. SAP also refers to updates to some components as Patches, e.g. they release database patches, and with BW, the BW SAPGUI Addon is also sometimes referred to as the Front End Patch.

IDoc Adapter error / oss note 856266

Hi all,
Has anyone else run into and successfully fixed the error described in oss note 856266? We ran into exactly this issue. Found the note by searching on the error message, downloaded and applied the correction instructions, all the while feeling pleased it was such an easy fix...
Nothing changed whatever though after the correction instructions were implemented. So either we did something dumb or the fix is not working for our system. Just wondered if anyone had similar experiences?
We are on Win2k/SQLServer/SP13

One LAST suggestion. Looking at Note 837595, it doesn't seem to specify a value for authorization group (DICBERCLS). Try authorization group 'SS' (without quotes). So:
Object: S_TABU_DIS
Activity: 03
Auth. Group: SS
I recall now that a customer recently had this issue and (for them), this helped.

I think that the problem may be caused after implementation of OSS Note 1669690.
RPCAFIE0 (AFI - Mensaje de Afiliación) generates an abend when creating the AFI file with "Automatismos".

Just as information we are under 4.7 version and we have a separate system for the upgrade to ECC6.0.
In the server upgraded the RPCAFIE0 program does not generate runtime errors.
The point of the abend has changed a little bit:

And when debugging, on 6.0 go_exit_obj contains initial values and 4.7 ***illegal reference***

Go to SNOTE transaction.
In that download ur SAP note.
And GOTO SAP NOTE---> IMplement.
It will give info if it is already implemented.
Else u can implement it..

OSS Note 1048856 does not fix system error VL 059

Hi all,
we have exactly the issue described in OSS Note: 1048856.
"When you use IDocs to create inbound deliveries, the system issues error VL 059 by mistake 'You cannot add this item to the delivery'."
Our process is:
1. Post over the IDOC DESADV to create the inbound dlry.
2. Within the IDOC we have the Handling Unit (e.g. MATNR 400877).
3. Delivery type (EL) has the item-req. 201
=> IDOC message output: 'You cannot add this item to the delivery'.
When I change the item-req for the delivery type EL to 202 we do not get the message but in that case we cannot complete our goods receipt.
The inbound delivery cannot be completed, although all TO items have been confirmed.
Does somebody has a idea who we can solve the issue without changing the item-req of delivery type from 201 to something else.
Every input is very welcome.

Problem when opening correction instructions for OSS notes.

Please find the below procdure to implement a OSS Note.
1. Use T.Code SNOTE.
2. Use menu GOTO --> SAP Note Download. Give the Note number and Execute. now the note is downloaded to your development system from SAP.
3. Use menu GOTO --> Note Browser.
Enter the note number and Execute. Now double click on the displayed line. OSS Note solution will be displayed on the screen.
4. Now again click Execute to adopt the solution in the note.
5. follow the screens which will come in the execution.
That's all all the corrections will take place in the program.

I tried to execute the program of OSS Note 1464524. In the instructions they have written that if you do not have Purchase req. then you can put "=" at selection screen but still this OSS Note is not working that way. I am not able to execute this program.

Thanks for the reply. Yes you are right the correct OSS note is 100409 and I want to delete the commitment line items without reference to purchase orders or purchase req. So I am trying to execute the program of this OSS note ZKAOIDE0 and in the documentation they have mentioned that if you do not have purchase req then you can put the "=" at the selection screen but the program is not executing.
We are using extended classic scenario.

Library Lost - Please HeIp I tried updating my old ipod & now all 10,000 songs in my library have an ! next to them and I get the error message "song " " could not be used because the original file could not be found" on every song I try to play

Please help - this morning I tried updating one of my old ipods for my wife (this ipod hasn't been updated in 2-3 years). I plugged it into my pc, it was recognized and the software updated. I created a new playlist and tied to sync the ipod. This ipod had never been used on this pc/itunes since the pc is only 2 years old. When I tried to sync the ipod it stated that it would have to erase all the old songs on the ipod prior to syncing. I clicked ok and it proceeded to wipe out the old ipod and sync the new playlist (~1000 songs). When the sync was complete there were only 6 songs from the new playlist (all purchased this morning from itunes) on the ipod and to my horror all ~10,000 song on my pc in itunes now have a ! next to them. Only my recent purchases from itunes do not. When I click on a song with the ! I get the error message "the song " " could not be used because the original file could not be found." How do I correct this issue - I am scared to hook my ipads or other ipods to my pc for fear of losing everything?!?!? I spent 100s of hours burning the 10,000 songs from my cd collection and do not want to have to do it again.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

1) One way is checking the version and support pack applied.I.e,
On the main SAP screen > Systems > Status > Check details of the "Component version".
2) STMS > Double click on the system you need to check > Check the status of your request.
