The 3G on my iPhone is not working, the only way the internet works is when its connected through wifi. What do I do?

I've tried turning my Phone on and off but the 3G still doesn't work.

The last two steps of user troubleshooting are restore from a backup and restore as new. If after a restore as new the device still is not operating correctly, then the next thing would be an appointment with the Genius Bar at Apple.
However, if it was me, before I tried all of this, I would contact my carrier, have them check my account and if necessary, replace the SIM card before I went to Apple. They supply the connection and the data.

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with the iTunes Store.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the iTunes Store, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

The facetime is not working on 3G, its asking for WiFi

The service provider in mumbai,India is reliance. I am having difficulty on connecting the facetime app via 3G. Its working fine if i connect to WiFi which is in my office. Please advice if there are any settings which i could be missing. Thankx

FaceTime supports connecting via wi-fi only - at the present time anyway.

There's no software fix for a hardware issue. Make an appointment at any Apple store, an out of warranty replacement is US $199 for an iPhone 4S. It that's too much money, find a third-party repair service. But, be aware, if a third-party touches your phone, you void all support from Apple & forfeit the right to an out of warranty replacement. Also, since Apple does not sell parts, there is no way to determine if any parts used to fix your phone are genuine or knock offs.

Iphone 5 not working and giving itunes connect logo

I just bought iphone 5 2 days before from a local shop here , yesterday it was working fine specially that i just was installing apps on it but when i woke up today morning it was switched off I was thinking the battery was dead but I was little confused because i remember that it was having charge already.
anyway when i connect it still not working only giving me apple logo going and coming then it giving itunes connect logo when i just try to open

No, I haven't learned anything more. It doesn't happen to me enough to warrant trying to swap it out for a new one, though I have discussed the possiblity with the folks I bought it from. They are not big-volume Apple sellers but I was the first to complain to them about this problem. Hasn't happened to me in over a month. Some people are convinced it's a problem with the phone, not the software and therefore not fixable, but I suspect there is more than one reason it can happen. I'm hoping my problem is cured, fingers crossed and all that. Good luck, glad my post helped you.

I was trying to update my music last night. But itunes told me it needed to be updates first. So I updated itunes, and my phone. But now when I connect my phone using the usb. It will not connect to itunes, all that comes up is a phone icon on my desk top(which doesn't allow me to do anything with) But when I connect an ipod it does connect to itune and I am abble to look at how much room is left, and the option to restore ect) . SO this tells me something is wrong with my phone it self. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

I have a 5th generation iPod touch that is suddenly "unable to connect to the server", not entirely sure what this means but I'm unable to connect to the internet even though I'm connected to Wifi. Can't connect to iTunes on my pc either. Any input?

I have a 16GB iPod touch that suddenly stopped connecting to the internet last night. Everytime I try to get mail, or access anything with Safari I get a message saying that it can't connect to the server. Also I've plugged it in to my home computer but it won't connect to iTunes either. I haven't updated to iOS8 yet as I didn't have enough space for it and I had planned on deleting all my music files, updating the software and putting whatever music I could fit back on to the device afterward, but now I'm hesitant to do that as I have no way to get any of the files back onto the device. Could this be because I haven't updated to iOS8 yet? I've been having other problems such as apps crashing unexpectedly lately as well, for example my music shuts off randomly and apps such as Twitter and Tumblr and a few others crash on launch. I'm definitely not a genius when it comes to technology by any means, so I have no idea what's causing this problem or how to fix it, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tend to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Using network sharing on Macbook as router, but my ipod can't connect to the internet even though it can connect to wifi

Hi there, recently I've been trying to use my macbook as a router by turning on network sharing.
I'm sharing my connection through PPPoe.
It worked great for my 3DS and I was able to play online flawlessly
(unfortunately I don't have any other mobile device so I could only test this on my 3DS and ipod touch
But my ipod touch 4th gen, while it is able to connect to wifi with a strong bar, I cannot access the internet via web browsers and some of the apps.
It always gives me the 'cannot connect to internet' message.
What further puzzles me is that I can receive, update, and check my mail perfectly fine.
I've already tried the following:
1) unplugging and replugging my modem
2) forgetting the network on my ipod and re-access it
3) resetting network setting on ipod
4) tweaking with the internet sharing setting like trying different channels and different types of security
5) turning off and on my ipod, and turning off and on the wifi on my ipod
Anyway, I'm really stumped and I hope someone can help me figure this out.
Any help will be gladly appreciated.

oh I'm not actually using a router, I'm using my macbook pro as a wifi router by turning on network sharing.
And I'm sharing the connection through PPPoe

My appleTV restore does not work. When I connect it to i-Tunes and start the restore process, it always errors out during the software update/install/verification process.

Ok. Have you tried a different micro usb cable? If possible try another computer. Or take the unit to Apple. It could be a hardware issue and you can see about a replacement.

I suggest that you look a the numerous other discussions that discuss the same problem.

Facing severe problem in IE10 of automatically getting clicked on "use a proxy server" every 5 minutes in LAN Settings whereas it is not required to use any proxy server at all when directly connected through ISP broadband.

Using Window 8 Pro with IE 10 but facing tremendous problem in LAN settings. Every 5 minutes, it automatically gets clicked on "Use a Proxy Server for the LAN" and am unable to open any page unless the said setting is unclicked. The same applies
while using Chrome or Firefox browsers.... none of the browsers behave properly and have to repeatedly unclick on proxy server settings (in IE or Chrome) and change settings on Firefox.

It seemed that some malware changed your registry which make proxy server enabled.
Did you install any proxy agent software recently? If you did, please try uninstalling it now. And then make a full scan
with malware removal tool.
