Why is this update taking forever?
What stage of the update is taking so long? The progress bar includes identifyning the stage.

I have multiple email accounts in my iPhone 4. Before the 6.0 update... I could select what account to send from each time. Now it's a default. Do I have to go change the email default setting everytime I want to send an email from a different account?
In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

I downloaded the os 6 by wifi and when the phone restarted it told me to plug into itunes. I did that and the iphone software update has been stuck on '70 hours remaining' for the last 3 hours. Help!
it says " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes" so i restore it and after it gets finished it says " the iphone :iphone" could not be restored. the device cannot be found" but ive used this itunes since i got this phone.

Last week my iPhone 5 would only be down 5-10% in 24 hours. I mostly text and e-mail. After the 6.1 update yesterday it has been 20 hours since the last charge and it is down 60%. Something is up
Sounds like all the settings that you may have adjusted to save power (screen brightness etc etc) have been defaulted back to factory.
If you jump into all the settings and turn off what you dont need and turn down what you do need it will be the same as before.

I downloaded the new update for the iPhone 4, then left my computer and it went to sleep. I came back to it to update my phone and the message "The iPhone software update server could not be contacted." How can I fix this? I have already checked my LAN settings.

- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers

- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem -

I had Lightroom 5 installed via CC, and working fine on a Windows 7 desktop.
I opened CC and saw the Lightroom CC upgrade.

AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Please help me I think I just lost all my photos! I guess I wasnt supposed to download the new update because since i have my Ipod hasnt cut back on. ALL it does is show the Apple logo and cut off and on.
Try connecting it to iTunes in recovery mode and restoring it. This article has instructions for placing the iPod Touch into recovery mode.

Since the latest itune update, I have completely lost all my uploaded audio books. When I try to restore from my ipod I get error -39. Has anyone else had this issue?
I have no idea which password you mean. Your phone's password? Your Apple ID password? Your iTunes Store password? The Backup encryption password? It is impossible not to have an Apple ID password or iTunes Store password. They are usually the same, but don't have to be.
If you need the backup encryption password it is cretain that you entered it, but it may have been a long time ago. It is prompted the first time you back up after checking "encrypt backup" in iTunes, and can also be required by your IT Administrator if you have a corporate MS Exchange email account on your phone. It is never again prompted until you need to restore from the encrypted backup. -

I am only a fellow ordinary user of Firefox & XP, but maybe the problem is on your machine, rather than needing a fix from firefox. If you take a little time to read this you may be able to sort out the problems yourself.
I hope you do not mind me covering a few basics:

My Apple TV 2 has been stuck at the update screen for 18 hours, what can I do?
I read about the 4.4.4 update yesterday. I always actively install new updates as soon as they're issued. This time my Apple TV has been stuck on step 1 of the update. The progress bar has been at about 90% since yesterday. Right below it says not to unplug the device while updating. No other controls respond. What do I do? I'm afriad to brick if I unplug it. Anyone has any tips for me?
PS. I do not have any jailbreaks on it. It's stock.I have the same problem updated my Apple TV 2 yesterday and it got stuck on the Apple and the apple tv is blinking at a steady. Restored in iTunes hooked it back up to my tv, input all my settings, wifi, apple id, and netflix. and did not do anything else, came back in and the light was blinking steady on the apple tv again and stuck on the Apple logo. Restored in itunes again and hooked back up, just hooked up my wifi settings and manually rebooted. Same thing got stuck on the apple logo. What to do?
