The "add exception" block isn't active in the "I understand the risks." section of Untrusted Connection. I had to use IE to access my wireless router? Any suggestions?

unfortunately the do_not_trust certificates might be a sign of unwanted software present on your pc that is intercepting secure network traffic. please go into the system control panel and uninstall programs like BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, SafeGuard or other software that sounds suspicious and didn't get installed by you intentionally.

Firefox 36 has broken the "Add Exception" button for self signed certs

clicking on the add exception button does nothing now in version 36, I had to roll back to 35.0.1

It will depend on the type of self signed certificate. An example url will help better investigate.
However recently, CA 1028 bit RSA certs were phased out in version 36. In order to make sure that the certificates are compatible:

I have for three hours been trying to download a version of foxfire that will allow me to use the add on ... facebook activity remover. it has been a nightmare

why do you not list the different versions of foxfire on your website if you are going to offer addons that will not work with the most current version og foxfire. INSANITY. i just want to use the add on facebook activity remover. Evidently it works only with versions 21.o0 to 29.0 i think. at any rate good luck trying to find one these versions. there are thousands of links all of which includes a maze leadibg to nothing useful interms of downloading version 21.0.

The vast majority of '''Extensions''' rather hosted at addons.mozilla.org are made by a third-party author or company. These authors are the ones who keep them updated for new Firefox Releases. If the author says Mozilla or Mozilla Labs then it was from Mozilla.

Firefox 3.6.3 does not bring up the "add exception" option for a self-signed certificate

Hello. The company website I use has moved to a new server. The new server required some changes apparently, and now I am receiving the message CompanyXYZ.net:987 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The certificate is only valid for Now, on 1 of my 3 computers, I received the I understand the risks, and an option to Add an Exception. However, on the other 2 computers, I simply receive the previously described popup window and no option to proceed. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your genius.

No, it's just the opposite. NO_DATA_FOUND is raised when no rows are returned. It doesn't matter what's in that row: all NULLs is okay.
Since NVL is handling NULLs in the SELECT query, the above exception block is never going to be used. Right?That's easy for you to test. Pass a value of p_userid that you know does not exist.
The EXCEPTION block is redundant in the sense that Oracle will raise an error anyway. It would be NO_DATA_FOUND, not 'No Such User', but the line number in the error message would point to the SELECT statement, not the RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR statement.

The "This connection is untrusted" screen pos up, and and when I press "I understand" no "add exception button appears. I think that the button's underneath some text; but firefox won't let me scroll down.

It displays the following after I click "I understand the Risks":
"If you understand what's going on, you
can tell Firefox to start trusting this site's identification.
Even if you trust the site, this error could mean that someone is
tampering" But it doesn't show me the "with your connection." part and the "add exception button, and it won't let me scroll down.

Can't add a certificate exception in Firefox 4.0 - "add exception" button do nothing

I am opening web site with untrusted certificate. I would like to accept this certficate, so I click "Add exception" button. Unfortunately, confirmation dialog do not show up. In fact nothings happends. This problem is relevant to all websites with untrusted certificates.

Going through the preferences to add a certificate is a workaround and not intuitive to users. The Add Exceptions button used to bring up a popup in Firefox version 3.5.9 that allowed you to add an exception for the server:port in my case. Is there a way to get the Add Exception button to work in Firefox version 3.6.12, it currently does nothing which is totally confusing to the user.

Error is "sec_error_unknown_issuer", regardless of deleting either cert8.db, or cert_override.txt, resetting FF, or anything, I can't ADD Exception, Works in IE

I get this from the server that runs the WatchGuard SPAM Filter, and I USED to be able to add an exception, and it was fine.
Under "Technical Details" I get:
"An error occurred during a connection to sp-servername.domain.local:4119.
Peer's Certificate issuer is not recognized.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)"
Clicking the "Add Exception" Button does NOTHING...
I can take the URL, copy/paste it into IE, and it works fine... It's happening on multiple systems... All Windows 7 All FF Version 37.0.1

The unknown issuer error is due to the certificate not being recognizable.
What version was the last time that you could do this?

Where did "Add exception" go?

In the latest update to Firefox for Android - 31.0 - the "Add exception" option disappeared on the Invalid certificate page. I have done a ton of research and apparently no one is bothered or am I the only one having this problem?

The previous versions up to 29.0.1 did ask for an exception through a dialog popup. 31.0 does not.
I did try all possible combinations of all "cert" settings in about:config.

Firefox 31 introduced a new certificate validation component, and in some cases (I do not know the exact pattern), that third section of the error page is missing, or you get a different error page.
When I view the certificate in Google Chrome (desktop) it appears to be self-signed by the organization and not any recognized certificate authority.
On desktop Firefox, you could export a certificate from one of your other browsers and import it into Firefox as a workaround. I don't know whether there is a similar workaround on Android since all of the browsers have much more limited feature sets.

The content of my add-ons, except Weatherbug, periodically disappear. I have to delete all cookies, restart compute and re-sign-in to Google and YahooMail. Everything is fine for a while and then the content of the add-ons goes away again. The links associated with the add-on remains at the top of the now content-vacant boxes and still work. This problem appears to have cropped-up after the last Firefox update.

How do I add a site I want to block to the pop-up blocker?

After I looked something up at Merriam-Webster Dictionayr's online site, I started getting a pop-up for something called Degrees.info, with a URL of

I know how to add exceptions to my pop-up blocker, but not how to add a site I want to block. How do I block the above company's pop-up?

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Firefox keeps JSON backups of the bookmarks in the bookmarkbackups folder, one each day that Firefox has been started up to a maximum of 10.
