The address toolbar is missing. I have followed the online guides to resolve this issue including disabling add-ins and extensions. The problem does not occur in safe mode. But does occur even when acceleration, all extensions & add-ins and themes are disabled. I have also reloaded firefox 4. Any other ideas?

If the problem doesn't occur in Safe Mode, restart again in that configuration and then in the menu which appears, checkmark the option: "Disable All Add-ons". Then click the button called "Make changes and restart".
Next, re-enable your add-ons one-by-one until the problem recurs. Then you'll know which one is the culprit.

I kept forgetting and procrastinating about following your instructions, since I have internet access only for limited amounts of time and usually I am busy with important tasks when I am.
Out of the blue, the problem corrected itself (the Save As box started to open full screen, then shrunk down to a normal size and the edges can now be dragged to a custom size).
Even the copy and paste problem in the filenaming area seems to have been less troublesome lately even though there have been no updates to Firefox in a few weeks.
Even though I marked the solution as not helpful, the problem has in fact been resolved. I will save the solution instructions in case the issue returns.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all media and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

By the way, if you are still interested, I found a solution. It's a bit crazy, but basically I have insulated the parts of the keyboard connector corresponding to the power button using some thin tape and then used a very thin wire going from the logicboard (where the test pads for startup are located) to my eject key, this way the original power button does not respond anymore and the eject key can be used as the power button, just like in the new Airs

Is this a clean install or an upgrade? 20 GB, though greater than the minimum, is pretty minimal. How much memory do you have on the system? 2008 would try to create a page file of 1.5x physical memory, so if you are building on a large
memory system, you could be having an issue there.

The router might be bad or incompatible, but let's be optimistic.
On System Preferences, go to Network/Advanced/PPP. Only two items should be checked: Connect Automatically When Needed and Disconnect when switching user accounts. Uncheck everything else. Now, click Okay on the end of the page. The next time you're online, you shouldn't be disconnected.
If you still get disconnected like before, we might be dealing with a router issue - which can get rather complicated.

Without know exactly what you did or what happened:
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

So my home button stopped working due to water damage. I put it in the microwave(for real no joke) so the water can evaporate. 2 seconds in and the screen sparked blue and now its not working any suggestions on helping me fix it?

Hey Peter, I think your missing the big picture. Your iPod is past repair, corrosion, is a real issue with water damage, but your problem took a turn for the worst when you attempted to use a microwave to dry it out. I see you found another post from July 2012, where someone else tried to nuke there iPod, and got the same results you have-- a dead iPod. The blue sparks, burnt smell and still not working all confirms one thing... Your iPod is not repairable. What the water didn't damage the microwave did. By attempting to microwave, you for all intensive purposes hit your iPod with an EMP, (Electro-Magnetic Pulse), in the first split second you overloaded the workings of your iPod and burned it up! There is is no way of known which circuits and components have been damaged and to what extend. You may be able to get a refurbished iPod, but it is unclear that Apple will allow it, because of the type of damage, it's not like this was an accident, you deliberately put it in the microwave in a misguided attempt to dry it out. when the microwave turned on it hit ever chip, diode, capacitor etc. with more power than it was designed to handle, in short; you baked it, burned it up, fried it, call it what you want, but it's not going to work! To attempt to repair is a meaningless gesture, (and probably will cost more than it's worth), chalk this one up as bad ideas 101-- learn from it, move on, and get yourself a new iPod. Try deleting the account, restarting your phone and then reinputting the account.

First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

Having the same problem - am running Win 7 Pro 32 bit. Discovered that when you close iTunes task manager shows that iTunes.exe is still running and will not close unless you reboot. I have also found that after starting Win 7 that if I launch iTunes by inserting a CD, the CD plays and displays all tracks correctly. However, if I eject the CD and insert a different one neither Win 7 or iTunes recognises the CD. These problems seem to have started with the release of 10.5.2 - prior to that no problems at all. Have tried reinstalling and it does not make any difference.

The article you have referenced tells you how to get around the passcode requirement. If you are not able to get past it, then you have to go to the "If you have never synced with iTunes or do not have a computer" section. You have to put the device in Recovery mode to get past the issue.
Reread the article and follow the Recovery instructions.

I have several old Kodak Photo CD with PCD image files. I am now using Photoshop CS5. Some years ago while using Photoshop CS4 I copied a file: "Photo CD.8BI" from an older, CS2, version to the Plug-ins/File Format folder of CS4. This does not appear to work with CS5. Any fix?

It can be made to work, but you have to run the 32 bit version of Photoshop CS5, and as I recall there's an additional DLL called pcdlib32.dll that's needed from the old installation.
