The Agent don't recognise Ldom.

I installed the Agent och a Solaris10 Primary ldm,
First time Fine.. found the guest ldoms and everything looked OK..
Ater couple of days the Primare ldm vanish.. I notice that I had a old firmware,, prtdiag hangs..
So upgraded the fw and it worked again.. BUT the guest ldoms is gone.. The is not under the primary like the where before..
how to connect the guest to the primary again..

I had different problems, with the one mentioned by you. After a complete re-install of Ops Center, things started working.

Outbound Dialer calls the client but don't call the agent

I have a strange problem with Outbound Option in UCCE 7.5(6).
I have configured "PREVIEW_ONLY" in admin script. The behavior is below:
- the campain starts;
- I can see the call in "CTI Toolkit outbound desktop"(here I don;t see any call to agent's phone);
- I am pressing "Accept";
- The system calls the client;
- The "client" answers the call;
- I don't have any call to agent's phone.
What could be the problem here?I verified the VIP's CSS. The dialer ports can dial in the agent's partition.

When I install a host agent on my OEM 12c the status of the agent and host target in the OEM is stuck in pending. The agent is up and can ping the OMS. I haven't been able to locate any relevant errors in the logs

Can I get a phone these days and hook my MacBook Pro up to it and have the phone act like a Mobile HotSpot?

You can use Verizon's site to do some mock orders and see what the cost difference would be between the two options.

Problem with the Agent

Following a problem I had with saving to a shared location on windows nt using RMAN. (see note 145843.1 in metalink, also see bottom of this text)
When I got to the stage of assigning the service to the domain administrator the agent failed. Can anyone shed any light on the situation on to why it is doing whats its doing.

PURPOSE
Following are step-by-step instructions for configuring RMAN to write
to mapped (shared/networked) drive(s) on Windows NT, 2000 or 2003.
SCOPE & APPLICATION
RMAN users who are familiar with basic RMAN functionality
as well as database configuration on the Windows Platform.
WRITING FILES TO A MAPPED DRIVE WITH RMAN
The problem of backing up to a mapped network drive using the SYSTEM account
is a security issue. By default, Oracle requires the SYSTEM user to have
privileges to write to the drives. Microsoft considers granting SYSTEM owned
service access to a shared drive a security issue.
However, there is a workaround that allows Oracle to access a shared drive.
The Oracle services are originally configured to log on using the SYSTEM
account. The SYSTEM account should not be granted access to the shared drive,
therefore the Oracle services for the TARGET DB need to be reconfigured to
logon using an Administrator account (preferably a Domain Administrator).
THE STEPS NEEDED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE
1. On the machine where you wish to write the files to, create a shared drive
granting the user 'Administrator' FULL Control.
Note: For reference below, this Administrator will use the password 'test',
this will be referred to as the "Destination" machine.
2. On the machine with the TARGET DB, verify the Administrator user has the
same password of the user that shared the drive on the destination machine.
In the example here, the password would be 'test'.
3. Map a network drive on the TARGET machine to the shared drive on the
destination machine. When mapping this drive, use the Administrator
user with the password 'test'.
4. On the TARGET machine, BOTH the OracleTNSListener Service and the
OracleService<SID> services must be configured to start using the
Administrator/test account.
(As discussed above, Oracle uses the Local System account by default.)
a. Go to the Control Panel and then open up the Services panel.
b. Double click on the appropriate service
(TNSListener or OracleService<SID>).
c. Change the "Log on as" user from the "Local System Account" to
ShowDoc https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:176254058330...

d. Specify the service to log on as the Administrator user.
c. Click on "OK".
5. Shutdown the TARGET database and stop and start the services on the Target
machine. Restart the TARGET database.
6. You should now be able to use RMAN from the Catalog machine to copy the
datafiles. In the RMAN script, specify the drive letter that you mapped
in step 3.
Special Windows 2003 Update :
As Windows 2003 has a changed access behavior compared to Windows 2000,
the solution is a little restrict :
Don't use local drive letters for mapping network shares.
Workaround is to use UNC locations directly, e.g. backup to \\B\share
Since this is in fact an absolute location this is always the same for any
node in the network.
So whether accessed from node A or node B, \\B\share is always the shared
location on B.
FINAL NOTES
It is recommended to use the Domain Administrator account to ensure that
passwords are the same across the various machines. If there is no domain,
use the local Administrator account and ensure that the passwords are the same
for this account across all of the machines.
If your backups are to be automated using the AT command, it is best to start
up the SCHEDULE service under the same Administrator account that the
OracleService<SID> and the OracleTNSListener services use.
In the event that you HAVE to use a user account for the Oracle Services,
rather then using the SYSTEM account, you can create a batch file that
reconnects the shared drives at system startup. The batch file runs
automatically as a service when the server starts and would establish the
connection to the shared drives, regardless of which user logs into the
system. This process of creating the batch file is outlined in the Microsoft's
Knowledgebase article Q243486 - "How to Run a Batch File Before Logging on
to Your Computer." The batch file is not supported by Oracle and is only
mentioned here as an alternative way to reconnect the shared drives.
COMMON MISTAKES
If the OracleService<SID> and OracleTNSListener services are not configured
to use the same account as the shared drive, you can expect the following
errors:
RMAN-10035: exception raised in RPC: ORA-19504: failed to create file
"<file name>"
ORA-27040: skgfrcre: create error, unable to create file
OSD-04002: unable to open file
O/S-Error: (OS 5) Access is denied.
ORA-19600: input file is datafile 1(<path and file name of Datafile 1>)

to be created>)

If the mapped drive is created on the CATALOG machine and NOT on the TARGET

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:
☞ Copy a line of text in this window to the Clipboard.
☞ Paste into the window of another application.
☞ Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.

If the system is now in safe mode and works well enough in normal mode to run the test, restart as usual. If you can only test in safe mode, do that.
5. If you have more than one user, and the one affected by the problem is not an administrator, then please run the test twice: once while logged in as the affected user, and once as an administrator. The results may be different. The user that is created automatically on a new computer when you start it for the first time is an administrator. If you can't log in as an administrator, test as the affected user. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this section doesn’t apply. Don't log in as root.
6. The script is a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, though you may not see all of it in the browser window, and you can then copy it. If you try to select the line by dragging across the part you can see, you won't get all of it.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "Syntax error" or "Event not found," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

The agent can not upload the xml file in the repository of the OMS

Hi,
I install an agent 10.2.0.4 HP-UX v.11.23, 64 bit, which has an Oracle database v.10.2.0.4.
The OMS identified a single server, but no database.
I uninstall the agent and remove the server from the OEM (html).
I install agent again with the patch 6409645.
Configure a security key to the agent (emctl secure agent).
However, it generates a file error emagent.trc, when i start the agent:

How can I wipe my imac hard drive if the imac is not recognising my keyboard

I fell into the same trap many others have with installing Windows via bootcamp & not setting up the hard drive formatting properly. So I've got a "Disk error. Press any key to restart message."
I've tried pressing command to get it to boot into OS and using 'c' to get it to boot from the OS cd. But my mouse and keyboard are not being recognised so these don't work.
I'm thinking that there must be a way to wipe the hard drive so I can reinstall OS. I thought it may work to connect it to another computer in target disk mode, but the iMac won't recognise me pressing T. Would anyone know whether there is any other way I can wipe the hard drive or otherwise get OS back running?

If your keyboard is a wireless one, wait until the startup chimes sound and then immediately press the appropriate key.
If your keyboard is a non-Apple one, then startup commands may not be embedded. In this case, using an Apple keyboard should work, such as the original one that came with the machine.
The key to hold down to bring up Startup Manager during booting is the Option key, not the Command key.

Is there a way to pass the gpg passphrase to the agent without making use of the pinentry program? E.g. by the means of stdin?
Background - what I want to achieve:
I'd like to use the neat script passmenu to copy passwords from my password database to the clipboard.
However this apparently only works if
one uses pinentry-{gtk,qt} OR
one launches the script from within a terminal window when using pinentry-curses - the reason is that a terminal window won't get opened in order to use the curses interface; the process just terminates
I don't like the graphical dialogue and I want to stick to curses. On the other hand, avoiding a terminal window is the sole purpose of the script.
I know there has to be a way to pass the passphrase to the agent, because mutt presents a custom prompt integrated in its main window IF one uses pinentry-curses. The fact that mutt nicely integrates the prompt into its interface is one of reasons to use the curses option for pinentry.
Any ideas how to circumvent the pinentry program while using the agent? Are there any alternative pinentry programs which make customization easy (i.e. which make it possible to use dmenu to enter the passphrase)?
EDIT: My google-fu didn't help my but I guess these comrades have the same problem...

Need to disable the Software Center or prevent it from being installed with the agent

Hi,
I have done a client push out to all systems in my environment, including servers, in order to keep our systems patched. My server admin has requested that I remove the Software Center and only keep the agent. I would have thought I'd be able
to find this in client settings, but wasn't able to find anything there. I understand my server admin's concern because we have software deployed to the All Users collection, and we don't want that software to be available for installation if an admin
user logs into one of the servers.

You can do that by installing the SCCM client with CCMSetup.exe /ExcludeFeatures:ClientUI more information on the command line switches,

Workflow not picking in the agent

Hi SRM Experts,
We are doing an SSp implementation on SRM50. Here we are stuck with the workflow for shopping cart approval. We have done all the settings including the event linkage activation and agent determination.
But here the workflow works fine if we manually assign the agent. otherwise it is not picking up the agent and it shows'Adhoc Agent not found'. What could be the reason for the same. Please suggest.

please check wether the start conditions for the workflow are active
at the following location
transaction --> SPRO --> Supplier Relationship Management --->SRM Server ---> Cross Application Basic Settings ---> SAP Business Workflow --> Define conditions for starting workflows.
which workflow are you using?
1) one step
2) two step
3) N- STep

Further to the above please check wether the manager has been maintained for the requestor in ppoma_bbp.
In the case of classic workflows --> managers are determined by the system from org structure.
