The airport only finds other networks than the home network I have used before. Doesn' help to try to manually add/find this network, it simply doesn't come up. All other networks in the neighborhood are found though. Doesn't help to reboot either

The network just doesn't come up on the list of available networks.
No chance to update software, since got no internet.
I did some googling and found alot of topics from you on this issue, to me it simply seems like on of the connectors is broken or loose.

When our iPad is in use on the internet, my iMac internet connection goes off. I can't get the two devices to work at the same time with the AirPort Express. Is there a setting somewhere I may have missed?
When two or more devices conflict it typically means that the DHCP service is either misconfigured or is not running at all. DHCP provides IP addresses to local network clients.
Is your AirPort Express base station the only router in your current network configuration? That is, is it connected directly to an Internet modem and not to another router upstream of it? -
I recently changed jobs and no longer have access to the computer that contained my Firefox bookmarks. I don't have a Firefox profile. Is there any way to find and transfer my bookmarks to my new computer?
If you don't have access to the old computer any longer, '''no'''. Unless you were using something like the Google Toolbar & Google Bookmarks or Xmarks, which would have your bookmarks in an online account that you could access. Firefox doesn't include an online storage feature for personal data, yet. That is coming in a future version.
If you have a friend at your old job maybe they have access to that old PC and they could export your bookmarks to a file and email that file to you. -

If your Mac is running that hot, the inside and/or vents and ports maybe plugged up with dust, lint and dirt.
Are your Mac's fans always running and running fast?
To attempt to clean out some of the dust and dirt, use a vacuum cleaner with a hose and crevice tool attachment to suck, instead of blowing, the dirt out of your Mac. Power down your iMac, disconnect the power and all your connected peripheral devices, lay your iMac screen down on a soft cloth of heavy toweling and using the vacuum's crevice tool(avoid using the vacuum's brush attachments as this may cause a stic discharge issue) and lightly (to avoid scratching your iMac's finish) vacuum out the vents underneath the display. Also, unscrew the RAM compartment cover and vacuum the dust out of the RAM area. Vacuum the long upper vent the is across the back of your iMac. Vacuum out the CD/DVD slot and SD slot. Vacuum out all of the various connection ports on the of your Mac including the vent hole and grille that is visible through the iMac's support stand. Once done, re-setup and reconnect everything and power up your iMac and see if the temps go down.
If not, If you have Apple Store or other authorised Apple service or repair center, have them diagnose and, generally, check out the health of your Mac and have them clean out all of the dust, dirt and lint that maybe deep inside your Mac.
Once this issues has been corrected, to keep your Mac's heat issues down, run a small, high speed fan blowing on your Mac's back panel to attempt to keep your Mac even cooler..

When I initially try to sign in to iCloud, I get the "Account not verified" screen and I am told to check my email for instructions to verify. No email is ever sent. My ID and password work on all other Apple app's. Why not for iCloud?
I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. I have a iMac and i just updated the computer to Yosemite. I have Photoshop CS5 and when I try to print under print size --- manage custom size , photoshop unexpectedly quits every time. I updated the printer drivers (epson 9880) uninstalled and installed all the drivers. restarted computer and it is still doing the same thing. Cant find any costumer service here either except forums.
I have exactly the same problem - Whenever I go to Print, the print widow appears, it thinks about it for a bit (rotating symbol) and then quits.

I have used Pages 09 and Keynote without any major problems until this new update. I have read many of the fixes but have a problem. When you get Pages 09 and Keynote back, Apples continues to want to update the 09 system. So it stays updated. I have had to turn off my auto updating that was nice but I'll do it one at a time in order to keep the Pages 09 and Keynote. When something works don't mess with it. Any fixes out there?
I can't say that I have had a problem playing videos in Flash because I could always play them in browsers other than Firefox.
In Firefox Tools>options>Advanced Hardware acceleration is turned on.
I don't know if that is different that tuning it off and on in Flash or not, but for now it is a moot point.
As I stated in my previous message, after following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. But The latest one, someone suggested that maybe version 17 of Flash might be a stable version.
I made no other changes except to install it, a few days ago, and so far so good.

i am using numbers in the new iWork. Just bought it 10 days back. I am not able to figure out how to add serial umbers from 1 to 100( for example) also i need to freeze the top header like in windows so that we can browse down without the heading going off. Can some one help?

Be aware that "Freeze Header Rows" and "Freeze Header Columns" apply only to rows and columns that are Header rows or Header columns. You can have up to five Header rows, Five Header Columns (and five Footer rows) on a Numbers Table.
"Header rows" is a special designation. Besides being able to be frozen, Header and Footer rows are not included in formulas referencing whole columns, making it possible to place formulas such as =SUM(B) at the top (or bottom) of column B without causing a self-reference error, These designated rows are also not included in sorts of the rows in a table.

I want to use my IPOD Classic 160gb for notepad entries in addition to the music and books I listen to. It is set to "Open ITunes when connected to computer" and "manually manage music and videos". Settings>Store (or iTunes & App Stores if you are running iOS6)>Apple ID. Tap your son's ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID and password.
You shouldn't lose the music, but if you try to update any apps that you bought with the family ID, you will have to use that password that is linked with that ID in order to update.
Avoid downloading past purchased content with the old ID if you can since you will associate the iPad with the old ID for 90 days and you will lock yourself out of your own, new ID for that period of time. Read more about associated devices in iTunes here.

I have changed my password and still can't get home sharing to work. Get the message "Home sharing could not be activated because the account or password was incorrect." It's what I have used to sign in here! Any help much appreciated.
So I reset my Apple ID password. Which then stopped my MobileMe account from working. Hang on - these were 2 different accounts a while ago, with different passwords!!!
So I have logged back in to MobileMe with my AppleID, and that's working again. After a short wait I can now create Home Sharing again.
Folks, I think we have just had our Apple IDs merged with our MobileMe accounts!! With no consultation or warning.
My guess is that this is the most seamless way for Apple to do it, as the vast majority of people use only one email address and one password for everything. Only those of us who had the same email adress but different a different passwords for MobileMe and Apple ID will have noticed. Annoying for us few, but a clever strategy on Apple's part, becasue we have been driven to fix the issue ourselves by chaning the password, and in doing so we have realised that our mobileme account is now the same thing as our Apple ID. -
