The airport speaker option not showing on itunes
I am connected wirelessly and can surf the net through the airport, but the speaker option is not showing on itunes. I have enabled it in the airport utility.

In iTunes->Edit->Preferences->Devices, choose the "Look for remote speakers connected with AirTunes" checkbox to display a speakers pop-up menu at the bottom of the iTunes window.

I transferred itunes library from old PC to new PC. The content all shows when I launch iTunes on the new PC now. The previous content does not show in iTunes but folder still looks like it is on hard drive on new PC. Suggestions on how to properly merge?
Before you connect any device to a new library go to the Devices tab of the the preferences panel via Edit > Preferences (Windows) or iTunes > Preferences (Mac) and ensure the box next to Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically is ticked. You can now safely connect the device to your computer without the danger of media being automatically deleted or overwritten.
To get all your content off your connect your iPad to your new computer.
Then use a 3rd party piece of software to transfer your content

In Itunes Store click on Purchased under the Quick Links section on the right.

iphone 4s is disabled. It says connect to itunes. Itunes ays could not connect because phone is locked with a passcode and to enter passcode on iphone before it can be used with itunes, but I can't enter the passcode because 1) don't know it 2) it's disabled. The device also does not show up in itunes, so how can I restore the phone or unlock it?

Airport Express speakers not showing in itunes
Hi,
I had my Airport express working nicely, but then (foolishly), played around with it a bit and I'm now in a world of pain. I have a G5 imac talking to an AE base station hooked to a DSL router and my stereo.
What's not working:
1. The remote speakers don't appear in itunes.
2. The setup assistant & admin utility can't automatically detect the base station, either through the assistant or by the admin utility. (not sure if this is related or not).
What is working:
- I can change the settings by manually selecting the ip address of the base station and logging in.
- I can connect to the wireless network, and I can access the internet through the base station.
I've tried factory reset (both holding reset for 10 seconds & holding reset for 10 seconds while plugging the AE into power).
I've tried the base station with 6.2 and 6.1.1. I'm using v 4.2 of the airport admin software. I'm using v4.9 of iTtunes.
I've configured the base station to "Enable airtunes on this base station". I've configured iTunes to "look for remote speakers with Airtunes".
I'm just about at my wit's end. Any ideas?
TomIt's working again. Honestly, I'm not sure what did it but here's what I have as a setup now.
I bought a Linksys Wireless router and changed the AE from router to a client.
I installed today's Security Update.
I deleted iTunes and reinstalled v4.9. I fiddled around a lot with turning on/off the iBook firewall as well as enabling the router's firewall.
I also added the iTunes ports (3689 tcp and 5353 udp) to the port triggering tab of the router. I restarted iTunes after all this and my remote speakers suddenly showed up.
Oddly, is that I removed all the settings that I had turned on (ports, firewalls on iBook, etc) and it's still working. I don't know what happened or what triggered it to start working but i think it has something to do with the ports. Who knows. Sorry that I don't have a more definitive solution for others who experience this. -
Movie/TV Show option not showing in Itunes Store
I have the current version of Itunes and want to dowload some movies and TV Shows but those options are not showing in the itunes store list where music / music videos / podcasts are.
What do I do?how then if I have a 30g ipod do I get movies and tv shows on it?
You'd have to obtain them from other sources, converting them if necessary. I'm not aware of any legal download site in Australia for theatrical-release movies or US-based TV shows (none that could be used with an iPod, anyway).
Can I purchase off the I Tunes US Store from Australia?
Sorry but no. The content owners won't allow cross-border sales. If they would, Apple could sell the content through the Austrailian iTunes Store. -

Nothing comes up in the airport utilities app either. The amber light continuously blinks. I also tried connecting an ethernet cord.
We have a netgear n150 router in our house as well but it doesn't connect to my phone or MacBook. That's connected to a Windows PC.
Is this Netgear router your "main" wireless router? That is, is it connected directly to the Motorola modem by Ethernet? Which exact model of the AirPort Express do you have? How do you have the Express configured to work with the Netgear? -

Why would the new trackpad options not show up after upgrading to Lion and downloading all of the updates? It's not as easy to get between full screen apps without the ability to swipe.

Ipod does not show on itunes..
the 30gb ipod does not show on itunes but the window can read.
It is because i over charged the ipod?( my sister's ipod was shown in itunes and my can't).

If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. Again if Windows is recognising the iPod these may too.

I have an Ipod touch and recently added new music to my Itunes library. When I sync with the library, the new music does not show up on my ipod. The sync process seems to be working and there is still plenty of space on the Ipod for new music so I'm not sure what the problem is!
What happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

I have transferred my music to a new computer following the instructions carefully but for whatever reason the music does not show on iTunes on the new computer. The music is there as I can access it via My Computer and if I select a song it will show in iTunes and play - however I can not do this for every single track! Can anyone suggest something I have done wrong????
Media was moved via external hard disk, and I think I moved the iTunes Media folder after consolidating it.

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar
Next try on another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem. -
On an iPod Nano 2G, the iPod will not show in iTunes
Using an iPod Nano 2 G, when I plug it into a Mac, the iPod will not show in iTunes. The iPod will charge, but will not sync. This happens across multiple Mac's, so the issue seems to be the Nano, not the computer(s). The iPod will actually show for about 2 seconds in the left sidebar, then it disappears. Any suggestions about how to either fix this, or maybe how to restore the iPod's software. The iPod otherwise seems to be working correctly, i.e. will play music, etc. we have tried switching ports, cables and computers, same results.
