The answer may be simple but

Since I got Fireworks 8 last week, I've worked through the
accompanying 'Getting Started' manual and much of 'Training from
the Source' by Patti Schulze. While I love the program, I'm
frustrated by a difficulty that may be simple but is exasperating
for me.
When I create an image and try to save it as a .gif, jpg or
png file for use in Dreamweaver,I find that I repeatedly time and
time and tiime and time without end, simply lose the image.
How can I resolve this difficulty?

In FW 8, if you have a new image with multiple objects, you
can "save"
as PNG only, but you can "save as" any FW supported format,
without all
the html attributes associated with the Export dialog. With
many
formats, you will get the option to "save a copy" so you
don't flatten
your original artwork.
And of course, you can "Export" too.
That directory location issue is a pain. There is some kind
of logic
there, but I can never remember what it is. lol

You canot easily change your country settings. The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.

This may seem simple, but what is the easiest, most painless way to take an LrPhoto and save it as a jpg of a specific size somewhere in the file system?

It's not really an export, but if I have to use LrExport to do it, that's fine.

The following line tells me that this is not a template file, but a document created from a template called index.dwt
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
This means that you saved a child document as a template file at some stage.
If you go to Modify->Templates->Detach from Template, you can remove the template structure from your document. All you then need to do is to re-save the document as a template.

My daughter has an iphone 5, she has had it since July and has never plugged it into the computer. If I plug it in itunes asks if it should be backed up from a previous backup or set up as new phone. I don't want her to lose all her info, pics, imessage conversations etc. Should I even bother plugging it in? We share the same itunes account but she has her own apple id.
I know I'm being forgetful so I appreciate any help.....I need iphone for dummies!

Now when the size of string is bigger the string splits in 2 or more line in textarea (depending on size of String description1) and the line which appear in the text area is the last line of the string.TO view the first line i have to move the upper arrow of scroll pane.can't i do something so that when the JTextArea gets populated the curser is on the 1st line it contains

I had been having issues with my Droid 3 connecting to my home router. I would put the password in and it would go through the cycle of connecting and disconnecting for no apparent reason. I searched online for a solution for this and found nothing helpful. I also found that a lot of people are having the same problem. So, I did a little searching on my router's settings. (http://www.daniweb.com/hardware-and-software/networking/threads/39326) Everyone's router is set up a little bit differently. However, if you click on Wireless, and then Wireless Security, it should tell you what your WPA Shared Key is. I entered this key instead of my password and, hey, look at that. My Droid finally connected to my wifi. Hope this helps.

Ohmigosh! THANK you! I just installed a new router, my old one was an 8-year-old NetGear, which I had no trouble connecting to with my LG Lucid. The new D-Link and my Lucid simply would not hook up. It just kept 'obtaining IP address'. Grrrr....
It would be nice if LG would ask for the WPA Security Key instead of the password.

Cannot view photos in the stream on iPhone 6 but can with my other 4 iOS devices

I just purchased an iPhone 6 and the setup smooth but one thing..photo stream. I can take pictures and they go in the stream and I can view from my other iOS devices but I cannot view photos taken with other devices on the iPhone 6. All use the same iCloud ID.

Try these steps first if the Photo Stream on one of your PCs is not updating:
you can't connect to the Internet, iCloud Photos will not be able to send or receive updates to My Photo Stream. If necessary, troubleshoot your Internet connection on your PC, Mac, or iOS devices.
Open the iCloud Control Panel and make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
In Windows 8.1, go to the Start screen, click the down arrow in the lower-left corner, then click the iCloud app.
In Windows 8, go to the Start screen, and click the iCloud tile.
In Windows 7, choose Start menu > All Programs > iCloud > iCloud.
Make sure that iCloud Photos or Photo Stream is turned on in the iCloud Control Panel. Click the Options button and make sure that My Photo Stream is turned on.
Close and reopen the iCloud Control Panel.
Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

Extremely simple but baffling to me: Constructors.

I haven't a clue what they are. I've read about them online and in the Java API, and I still have no idea what they are.
My current understanding is this: a constructor is code dedicated towards defining how to treat a variable.
But...I have to write two programs using constructors and I have no idea what to put in them. And in fact everything I've tried gives compiler errors. I'm sure all of you know the quiet desperation and frustration I'm feeling.
Anyway, the assignments are:
1) Create a class called Employee that includes three pieces of information as instance variables - a first name (type String), a last name (type String) and a monthly salary (double). Your class should have a constructor that initializes the three instance variables. Provide a set and a get method for each instance variable. If the monthly salary is not positive, set it to 0.0.

It all seems extremely vague, to me.
For the first assignment I've got:

     public String LastName;

Which I think is right. But all attempts to create a constructor that have failed...I don't even know what one does. It seems kind of absurd for my first two labs to be so simple, basically logic exercises, and this to be so mind-destroying.
There's got to be an if/then to see if the salary inputted is negative, which is simple, no problem.
But the set and get methods...there's no data inputted into this program, so what the hell is it setting and getting, and how would the syntax work?
Like:
public void setFirstName( String FirstName )
FirstName = FirstName;
Doesn't work. And I think it's because it refers to itself for its own definition, which is nonsense. But I can't figure out what's right.
The second assignment is simpler, but it also makes no sense to me. The day, month, and year are not variables. And even if they are variables, the user doesn't input them only to have them displayed, right? So what is the assignment even asking for? This is all taken directly out of the book.

this.Firstname = Firstname;Your textbook and teacher should have mentioned this.

You're right; it's worthless in terms of real-world practicality. It's just something pointless but simple for you to get practice with. Don't worry about it.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Simple G5 Questions but I don't know the answer to them

I am a PC guy. I have always been, but I decided on getting an Mac to test one out. So I bought a used one. I bought a Power Mac G5. It has the dual 2.5Ghz, with 2Gb of ram. When I got it, it wouldn't do anything. Took the side of the case off and found there was a red light behind one of the processors. No problem at all. I got 2 new 2.5 GHz processors with heatsink. I installed them. Now the machine will turn on, but nothing really happens. The power light turns on for a second and then it turns off. I can hear the hard drive spin up. I can hear the fans kick on. There is nothing on the monitor.
Question 1: I put a new hard drive in it, does a Mac machine have a bios screen like a windows machine does?
Question 2: Is there nothing happening because I have no operating system loaded or should I atleast see something on the monitor? If I need to load an operating system that is fine, but how? I know that there are a lot of keys you can push as the power button on and it allows it to do different things.
Question 3: If it is none of these, whatelse could it be? I have black screen, no power light, hard drive is spinning, and fans are spinning.
Any help would be much appreciated. I have pushed the little reset button on the systembaord several times. I have taken the battery out for a minute or so several times.

You should probably try booting into open firmware to begin with. Hold down the cmd-option-O-F keys at startup. You should eventually see the open firmware terminal screen, which is white background and black type. If you don't see it, you probably have a video card problem. Open firmware is about all you can really do on a machine without an OS somewhere, either on a hard drive or on an install or utility CD/DVD. Single user mode requires a regular OS installation and gives you essentially the Unix terminal.
When you power up, the machine will go through a routine of power-on-self-test routines and if everything mostly passes, you will hear the famous Macintosh chime, which means that it is now looking for a boot volume. Some time later, a few seconds, the video card should light off initially and you might see some monitor activity. If your monitor has an indication of active video on its input, that is when it will show, either an LED color change or maybe a screen display situation. If you are not seeing anything to indicate that the monitor is being driven, then it may be that you have a tanked video card. If the video card is OK and other HW is working, then you should eventually get the grey Apple screen while the machine finds the boot volume. No boot volume will give you a folder/blinking question mark display.
One final thing, which is you probably haven't formatted the drive to one of the Apple formats, which may also be hanging things up. You might want to disconnect the drive and see what happens when you power up as well.
