The app store and my computer say I have installed the update Pages but it doesn't appear on my dashboard or open any files.

The app store and my MacBook IOS 7.1.2 computer says that I have downloaded and installed the new update for Pages, but when I try to open a file i get a message that I need the new update.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2.2 in the Applications folder.
Pages '09 in your Applications/iWork folder/
You are alternately opening your files with the wrong version.

PS Your Macbook is not running iOS 7.1.2 that is your iPhone/iPad.
