- Try using the Search function to find it
- Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Screen Layout
- Is it hidden by Restrictions>Settings>General>Restrictions?
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device again
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Not sure what happened but after I downloaded iOS 6 to my iPod touch 4th gen i was unable to use the app store and go on certain websites like yahoo.com, cracked.com and other websites I ussually visit. On top of that the yahoo weather app does not update and always says it fails. I just restored my ipos and nothing changed. Does anyone have an idea of whats going on here?

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

How do I restore the IOS 6 version of GarageBand on my Ipod Touch 4th Gen?

I was trying to clear some memory space on my Ipod Touch 4th Gen 8GB. I uninstalled GarageBand to get rid of the pesky Document & Data files. Then I was going to reinstall it. But when I did, the Itunes App Store downloaded the current IOS7 version. My device was not updated to IOS7, and the lastest app will not install on it.
Is there a way to get the IOS6 version of GarageBand to upload to my Ipod Touch 4th Gen at this point? I feel kind of robbed. I bought the app with the view that it would be good for the life of the device, not be invalidated when the next big IOS upgrade came around. I have had this problem with a few other apps, but this app I use a lot.
Thanks for any help.no I don't because my computer has been reinstalled fully since any of the old backups were done and even so, apps are stored in the itunes folders and not the backup files of the device. I have tried to contact apple/itunes and they don't want to know because I won't upgrade to a newer ipod touch that supports ios 7. I like my ipod touch 4th gen even though the wifi is damaged beyond repair. This is the way things are and big companies like apple expect people to upgrade to keep up with the latest version but the reality is that people don't because of the cost of the new devices.
I'll just have to deal with the fact that I cannot use it to read while on the bus/train any more. Ipod touch 4g is now just a music player/basic camera. -

It was around like 16ish 3-4 minute long songs that only played up to 1 minute 30 seconds. If this can't be fixed, is there a way i could at least get a refund?
Amazing steps you've done so far! The great news is this is very unlikely an issue with your iPhone.
I've run into a similar issue lately as well. I narrowed it down to one song that was causing 30 songs not to sync. I removed the song from the sync list (unchecked it) and all 29 songs were able to sync.
You may be running into a similar issue. This may be a problem with this version of iTunes, an issue with one song or a group of songs; hard to know for sure. It's important to narrow down and isolate the cause. Most imporantly get that music back on there!
The way to narrow down the casue add just a few songs at a time (even 1, just to get that first sync finished). Manually syncing is what you'll need here.
Plug in your iPhone, on the Summary screen (shows a picture of your iPhone, the iOS version, Restore iPhone....; etc). Under the Options area at the bottom choose to Manually Manage Videos and Music then choose Apply in the lower right. The music that's on your iPhone now should be removed from your iPhone now. You're now able to sync music manually.
The link below explains how to drag the songs from the iTunes library on the computer on to your iPhone which will start the sync. Add just one song just to see if you can get 1 of those hundreds of songs on there. If you can, awesome! Keep adding until you find the song or group of songs that are causing this issue.

I had my last ipod stolen, when I got the 5th Gen I restored from my old ipod from itunes and now there is a bunch of crap on there that I don't want, but the songs only show up on the ipod so I can not delete them off of the ipod from itunes. Any quick fixes to remove the unwanted songs, or do I have to start over completely?
Do they play on the iPod?
If not then they are corrupted.
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.

My iPod touch 4th gen. Keeps giving me the error message "cannot connect to the app store when I sign in. I can open the app store and browse it but I can't download anything. I have full signal strength with my wi-fi and safari is working perfect. I turned it off and restarted it 3 times now. I have an iPad 2 and the app store works flawlessly with it. What is going on?
Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.

Read this whole message before doing anything.
Back up all data. Quit the App Store application if it’s running. Test after each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Updates
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a folder selected. Move the contents of the selected folder to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
Step 2
Do as in Step 1 with this line:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
If there's no change, quit the App Store and restore the file you moved from your backup, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, recreate your settings in the Software Update preference pane.
Step 3
Hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following items from the Library folder to the Trash (some may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate
Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.*.plist
Saved Application State/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.savedState
Here, "*" stand for a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes.
Step 4
If you still have problems, quit the App Store again.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
open $TMPDIR../C
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). A folder should open. Inside that folder, there may be a subfolder with the name "com.apple.SoftwareUpdate". If so, delete it. You can then quit Terminal. -

Everytime i search for anything in app store it searches and loads the seatch results but then crashes and then closes down the store this has started happening after the update to IOS 6
Can anyone please help me as soon as possibleI found that if you go to "GENERAL" settings and then click on "ABOUT"..scroll down and click on "ADVERTISING"......then turn "LIMIT AD TRACKING" on...it appears this is new with iOS6..Since installing iOS6, i have had constant crashing apps, but since turning this on, they have gone away. I am also able to go into the app store without it crashing as weill as download/update as needed ...reading into this advertising scheme, it states that all aps will be "required" to use ad identifying, but not now....it sounds like this will be a big issue if it continues and Apple needs to fix it...I hope this helps, it has helped me.

Try quitting the app out of your multitasking bar, and then resetting (hold power an home buttons til device shuts off and comes back on).
