The Apple Handsfree Bluetooth Headset
Don' you think that Apple should make their very own Bluetooth headset?
It should be slick, white and shiny with a little apple on it like every other cool Apple product.
1. Should allow you to play music and any other audio through the ear piece (I heard Jawbones can do this.)
2. Display battery life of the Bluetooth on the iPhone (again, I heard Jawbones can do this)
3. The little Apple could light up blue!
4. They could make a little dock for it and it can charge off the USB port. Maybe have a slide out USB plug!!....or use the iPod cable to charge....
and do all kinds of other cool stuff that none of us can think of but Apple can.
What do you think?
They made one for the first iPhone in 2007.

2.2.1 Software Update broke connection with Apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset
Since performing 2.2.1 software update, my iPhone 3g does not recognize my Apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset when plugged into back of iPhone Bluetooth Travel Cable.
Is there some sort of reset operation I need to do?Hi Jonathan,
Try resetting the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see an Apple logo as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743
If that does not work, try the general troubleshooting tips here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743

Apple's BlueTooth Headset - GREAT!
"No question, just a comment. Have been using the Apple Bluetooth headset now for the last couple of days and very impressed with the smallness, sound and ease of use qualities. It is much smaller than you can believe, light as a feather to the point of forgetting it is in your ear. Calls received and outgoing are crisp and clear. When I ask: "Can you hear me?" the answer is always a positive yes. Even when I speak in a low volume I'm heard easily. I think this is because the earpiece rides just on the top of your jawbone although I could be wrong.
Anything missing? Well yes, voice dialing would make it an absolutely perfect 9 and a perfect 10 would be a second earpiece w/o mic and the added ability to hear music/movies/tvshows. A quick tap to change songs or pause. Geez, THAT would be awesome!
I purchased the Jawbone and found it huge and a battery hog and now I'm quite pleased with Apple's Bluetooth offering. I sent the Jawbone back but I'll keep this piece of hardware. The dock is very cool (although the cord could be another foot for those of us with CPUs that sit on the floor. At home it connects nicely to my Apple Cinema and the cord is fine. Perhaps a retractable cord/cable?).
My recommendation to others sitting on the fence over buying a Bluetooth earpiece - buy the Apple offering. It is made the for iPhone, pairing was so quick and simple I had to look twice to make sure it was paired without any fiddling around, and extremely light, small and very powerful.
As soon as Apple gives us voice dialing this puppy will be very hard to beat.
Tim...I continue to use my Apple BT and it works great.
Prior to Apple's offering I purchased the Jawbone. If I stuck my phone in my front pocket then the static was ridiculous. I don't have that problem with the Apple BT. I suppose if I put it in my back pocket.
The other things I disliked about the Jawbone was it's size and its failure to sustain a battery charge for a decent period of time. You do not want to use the masking feature because it draws the battery right down. Yes, the video that promotes it is right that you can stand next to a lawnmower and hear/speak to others but you can only do so for a minute or so and then blip! Low battery.
Did I mention the thing is very large? No matter where I went people stared. I'm a doctor so while on rounds and making verbal notes almost every patient asked me "What's that thing? Why are you wearing it?" While today I use the Apple BT and no patient has asked me about it yet.
I returned to Jawbone and hoped the Apple BT was half as good. It surprised me because it was just as good.

THE PERFECT Stereo Bluetooth HEADSET for my E51
My E51 is in dire need of GREAT BLUETOOTH STEREO HEADPHONES. As u may know, the OEM headset simply sucks in terms of sound quality and comfort (keeps dropping off).
Please share ur experience in using stereo bluetooth headsets that PAIR SEAMLESSLY to Nokia E51 with rating on:
- Comfort in using (> 2 hours non stop)
- Pairing ease & range
- Musical sound quality (bass treble richness)
- Conversation sound quality and clarity (inc. talk time)
- Model (in ear, earbud etc)
- Price (pref in USD currency)
I think this post should be kept ALIVE as referral for future users who are thinking the same as I am now
PEACE!

Can the Apple Watch Bluetooth pair with a car
Just curious; can the watch be paired to a car's Bluetooth?
There seems to be conflicts with the Apple Watch, iPhone6 Bluetooth and car connectivity. The iPhone is the hub that Bluetooth goes through for both the watch and the car, the watch itself is not pairing to the car. I have an iPhone 6 Plus that has no problem connecting to my Toyota RAV4 EV audio and phone system via Bluetooth. I recently paired an Apple Watch to the phone, and all was well until the next time I got into my car. The automobile Bluetooth would no longer automatically pair with the phone, and when I forced a connection, the result was that my watch would no longer receive calls. I left it alone, and a few days later I realized that my watch had ceased other operations as well: it would no longer charge with the provided dock, and sending taps, heartbeats and on-watch texts immediately failed. Ultimately, I had to remove the car Bluetooth connection from my iPhone and reset the watch to "out of the box" settings before it became functional again. At this point I cannot connect the iPhone to the car via Bluetooth without impacting the watch. Apple Watch devs: software fix, please!

Does the Apple Aluminum Bluetooth Keyboard works in BootCamp w/ Vista?
Hey there,
I have tried so many many times and I cannot pair them together. The pairing process itself seemed to work just fine everytime I tried. But the problem is the keyboard itself never works. In the Bluetooth devices list in Vista's bluetooth menu it does list my keyboard there but it seems to be disconnected every 5-10 seconds or something. It says...
My keyboard name
Passkey paired
Connected
where the "Connected" part keep disappearing every 5-10 seconds. Even when it says connected, I tried the keyboard but it never works. Did I do something wrong?
Cheers,
TonAs I installed Windows on my Mac, I was unable to use my wireless keyboard and mouse (which are the standards from Apple) when i was operating on the Windows partition. I had to call my buddy and use his keyboard and mouse, which were not wireless, and it worked fine. While in Windows, i did download Mac OS X, to make the two OS compatible, but the wireless still did not work on Windows. Is there something additional i need to do to allow my wireless keyboard and mouse to work on the Windows side of things. Please let me know if you have the answer

Bluetooth hands free for 3G - where is the Apple earbud?
I bought an apple iphone earbud handsfree and loved it... i wanted to replace it after i lost it recently. Amazed that i can't find any trace of it... can anyone tell me where i can get a replacement? I see there are still charger devices for sale but can't see any of the original beautifully shaped Apple earbuds!!! All I can see for sale is 3rd party designs that are not as nice... HELP!!!!!
Thanks! The Apple iPhone Bluetooth Headset was discontinued in March, 2009. Short of finding one on eBay or from a retailer with very old stock, I'm afraid you need to consider a 3rd party BT headset. None will show the battery level on the iPhone like the Apple one, though

Bluetooth headset + Skype
hello
my new Jabra Supreme UC bluetooth headset works fine on my iMac using Skype
only one thing; when I try to pick up an incomming Skype call with my headset answer button the call is rejected
Jabra support is telling me to update the bluetooth drivers to support HFP, HSP, A2DP, PBAP
any clue how ?
thx
& regards HennyFor anyone elses information:
The apple "iPhone Bluetooth Headset" is a nice piece of equipment. You can use it with most bluetooth compatible devices (including other cellphones).
However, not always will the headset button function as intended. In my experience, the headset is a little annoying because you have to click to answer your call from your mac. You can hear the ringing through the headset fine, but pressing the button does nothing within skype.
I've only just discovered this and am still looking for a resolution. I'd imagine there might be some fix with a skype plugin, but I've yet to find such a fix. -
3G phone doesn't fit Apple Bluetooth Headset Dock
I bought an Apple iphone bluetooth headset and dock from the Apple Store in Regent Street yesterday to go with my new 3G iphone. I got home and find I can't fit the 3G iphone into the dock!!! The dock should fit both the phone and the headset for charging.
I have called the Apple Store back and they have said I can take the product back to the shop. They said it was the first time they had heard this happening. Has anyone else had problems with the dock and being unable to fit a 3G iphone into the iphone bluetooth dock?
ThanksThe new iPhone 3G is not compatible with the original dock. You will notice that new bluetooth headsets being sold are no longer including the dock, which must now be purchased separately. The salesperson should have informed you that the dock included in the box would only work with the original iPhone.

please help/adviceHi Steven,
Is the headset discoverable? The manual for the bluetooth headset should show you how to make it discoverable.
Does the iPhone see the headset?
This article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1838 will walk you through the process of pairing the iPhone with bluetooth headsets.

MacBook Air does not See a Plantronics Voyager Pro bluetooth headset
My MacBook Air does not "see" my Plantronics Voyager Pro + bluetooth headset as a discoverable bluetooth asset. I have read on Apple and Plantronics forums that these two devices should be compatible, but so far no luck. Anybody have any experience with this situation?
Turns out the Voyager Pro Bluetooth headset failed...exchanging it for a new one and should be GTG. Thanks.

While the latest version of Osx has fixed the problem with bluetooth headsets not working properly, I have a couple questions on its usefulness.
1) It seems that once setup, the mic stays hot the entire time its activated which runs the batteries down in no time. Is there a way to have the OS only activate the mic if I open a program that uses it like starting a call in skype?
2) The mic in the OS constantly adjusts itself based on external noise, is there a way that I can set the gain in settings and it actually stays the way i set it? The internal mic seems to operate normally but the bluetooth constantly increases the gain until it begins to sound bad.
Thanks for any help,

I bought a nokia bh-702 bluetooth headset. When connecting with E71, everything is OK, except that no ringtone comes from the headset when there is a incoming call.
Could you please tell me how to enable the ringtone from the headset while keeping the cellphone mute?
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I've got exactly the same pair (E71 + BH702). The ringtone comes to headset if "general" profile is activate on E71. It doesn't come if "meeting" profile is active.
My problem is much more awful: very low volume when talking. How did you manage to increase volume with this headset ?
I would highly appreciate any information
