The arrows in the playlist folders stop responding over time. They aim down and sideways but the playlist folder won't minimize or maximize.

It's really annoying because I have to close it and reopen itunes to get it to function and then it starts that **** again. It's been doing this for about 2 months or so. Please, answer this question based on the information I gave.

Today I can't left click playlists or folders. I can right click and then use the arrow keys to find the playlist I want. When this one happens I can still minimize and maximize playlist folders. If I exit and open itunes it works properly until it ***** up again.

The Safari message is probably telling the truth. Is the problem repeatable at several websites, or is it only with a particular one? If all websites, you may have trouble with your internet connection downloading large amounts of data. Mail messages are relatively small unless there are attachments or embedded images.

Firefox stops responding every time I make any kind of input. It then flashes and comes right back

Everytime I click on something or type something, Firefox will stop responding for a couple of seconds and then return. It's curious that it will stop responding as I am typing something in and the letters that I typed while it wasn't responding obviously didn't appear but when it came back on the letters were there. Also, when I first turn on the computer, I click on Firefox and it opens right away but closes as soon as I try to do anything. I open it a second time and it is fine until the most recent response problem. I opened the task manager and Firefox was listed at 65,000 in the process monitor. I feel like Firefox is running twice and it is suspiscious. I tried to open it and it said I had to close the one already running which there wasn't. Any ideas.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

What happens when you try to restore the iPod? Error message?

Firefox stops responding. I need to exit and restart or reboot the computer.

I do not get an error message - the application simply hangs up during the opening sequence or stops responding when open. Also, some links within web sites do not work. Example: The embedded print command for Google Maps does not work, however, the print command on the tool bar and the keyboard shortcut still work normally.

Firefox will not open can't open preferences or anything was responding slow earlier in the day had been closed with 2 tabs open when trying to open in the second tab it responded really slow so sut down and used Safari instead

FF will not respond after opening a drop down box or filling in any form until I minimize and restore the page. This happens constantly.

Just to get to the page to post this I had to minimize FF 3 times because it doesn't recognize that I am on the page that is loaded. I can move my curser, but cannot click anywhere. When it just showed I misspelled "curser" and I tried to right click the word to correct it, I got the pop up dictionary, went back to try to continue typing and could not. I had to minimize the window, then bring it back up to continue typing. I have already fully uninstalled FF, I have reset back to an older date, I have shut down and taken the battery out. I have tried installing older versions of FF. Also, when I try to use bookmarks or other drop down menus in FF, it's randomly blacked out. I will attempt to show a screen shot if allowed. Safari stops responding when I try to bookmark (and other slow problems!)

Two weeks ago my logicboard died, so I sent my ibook out to Apple for it to be fixed. Ever since I got it back this past Tuesday, my Safari has been extremely slow, but nothing else is wrong with my computer. Here are the problems:
- The biggest issue is that Safari stops responding when I try to make a bookmark. The popup appears to select the bookmark's destination and to enter the name, but when you hit ok, the rainbow wheel comes up and it stops responding, so I have to reset Safari, and now I can't make new bookmarks at all.
- It lags when it tries to open new windows, especially new tabs.
- If a new page loads that scrolls at all, and then I try to scroll down, the wheel appears for several seconds until it can load the rest of the page. It's as though it gets stuck before it can scroll.
- Sometimes when typing, it will also start to lag behind my typing speed, or if I try to click on a new field, it will not immediately allow me to type on occasion.
All these things have never happened before I sent it out. I have reset my cache, and I have tried entering the open DNS addresses in my networks, which has improved loading speed, but hasn't fixed any of these problems. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong and how I can fix anything?

Try verifying the hard disk.
Boot from your restore disk while holding down the C key until you see the Apple logo, then let go of the C key. You'll see an Installation window, select English. From the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Disk Utility. Select MacintoshHD 10.x.x in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab, then click Verify. If DU reports errors, click Repair. If Disk Utility cannot repair the disk you have several options. One is DiskWarrior or
TechToolPro If Disk Utility can repair any errors, go back to the Menu Bar, click Utilities/Startup Disk. In the Startup Disk window select MacintoshHD 10.x.x and click Restart.
If you don't have a restore disk, try booting into Safe Mode

Contribute CS4 stops responding every time I try to add a link

I recently had to re-install Contribute CS4 when I updated to a new computer and operating system (now on Windows 7). Now, Contribute seems to work fine - until I try to add a link on any page I am editing. Whenever I select the Link button, Contribute will stop responding and will force the software to shut down. Please advise!

Please try below steps and check if it works for you :
Close contribute.
Go to : C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Adobe and rename "Contribute CS4" to "Contribute CS4_old".
Go to : C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe and rename "CS4ServiceManager" to "CS4ServiceManager_old"
Launch contribute and try again.
In case the above does not work then try reinstalling contribute or try recreating the connection.

Server stop responding few times a day

Hi,
this problem occurs several times a day. The server just stop responding and it cannot be reached from mac via afp and from pc's via smb. It is still running and you can ping it but Server Admin, Server Monitor and other tools cannot connect to it. The only thing i can do is to restart it from the power button. The logs doesn't show anything suspicious. I am running 10.4.8 Mac OS X Server on Apple Serve G5.

Home key stops responding other times it is just slow

I have an iPhone 4. It is currently on 4.3.3. This is a 2 part question.
Frequently the home key stops working and the only way I can get out of an app it to reboot it. When the home key does work it is slow.
I've done the reset a couple of time but a few minutes later the home button stops working again.
Question #1 - How can I fix it?
I'm guessing that updating the software might help but I'm nervous about that. I had an iPhone 3S but I lost it. When I got the iPhone 4 I connected it to iTunes and lost all the music and videos that I had. Slowly over time I've reloaded or repurchased everything. Now that computer is dead and I have a new one. I'm afraid if I load iTunes on that computer then it will think I'm trying to copy the songs to another computer and delete everything again.
Question #2 - How do I handle iTunes and updates on the new computer?

If you don't want to go to the Apple store and buy a replacement iPod, this is the only thing I can think of:
Update your device to iOS 5, enable AssistiveTouch in Settings > Accesibility.
This creates a white circle and tapping it will enable an option to return to the Home screen.

TS2972 I am using Apple TV to wirelessly access photos from a folder on my desktop computer, but when I view them on my TV, some of the photos are upside down and sideways, even though I have flipped, cropped them, and saved them on my desktop. Help!
