Free Digital adapter

How do you order a free digital adapter? I logged into my account but don't see any link to order it

Yea right after my order of the "FREE" digital adapter, my billing was all messed up. Took me almost three months and they never did fix it. All they did after I talked to 5 people and then a stupervisor was, give me credit for a year of the $3.99 free as a credit on my bill. I really love the service as far as the technical end, but there deceptive and crooked billing practices need to stop. I asked them how my 2 year package could have switched my internet to month by month with no package credit for internet when it is part of a package that is shown on my bill. I have never paid them late. Don't expect anything for free. Finnally they sort of fixed it, and gave me the new package that costs $5 more. It seems as though they can break agreements anytime they wish, and when you catch it they tell you it cant be fixed because that package agreement is no longer available in the system. DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING FREE! Unless you plan to pay another way. I guess if half the customers get it free and the other half gets screwed it cuts their costs. I am not the only one this has happened to. Just search the blogs about billing. Many people do not look closely at their bills, so installations of new fiber gets paid for by the billing mistakes in their favor. I bet this gets sensored or I get a nasty reply!
One last thing. I did call and it still happened to me and worse as you read.

New digital Adapter - missing codes for my television

Okay, so today I received the new digital adapter comcast sent, so my son can watch his cartoon network up in his room. So I follow the instructions up to step 4 were I was looking up the code for his tv, which is not there its a Supersonic 13 TV/DVD combo. Then I tried looking all over the internet for one and didnt find anything.

10812 worked on my 24" Supersonic LED/DVD.Here is some info from Supersonic:"Best Codes;

Digital Adapter Enhancement

I have Limited Basic Service with the Family Tier option. My main TV uses a digital set-top box and my secondary TVs use digital adapters. When I signed up for these services, I understood that I would only be able to get the get the Family Tier and Basic Service HD channels on the set-top box. On July 14th, I received a letter that I should now be able to receive the Family Tier channels on the TVs using the digital adapters as well. This has not happened. When I called Comcast, they didn't know what I was talking about when I asked about the new digital adapter enhanced service. Any suggestions on how I resolve this problem? Thanks

Kudos to Dan in the Clinton, CT office for learning that the Comcast letter that was sent to me in July announcing that the "enhanced service" in my area was now available, was sent prematurely. The enhanced service, which will allow me to receive the Family Tier channels with my digital adapters, will not be available in the Old Saybrook, CT area until sometime in September. I can only wonder how many other subscribers in my area were also sent the same Comcast letter? Thanks again, Dan. Allen

Is there a way to use the Apple digital AV adapter to mirror the iPhone 4 (not 4s) screen on my TV?

I purchased the Apple digital AV adapter and an HDMI cable from the Apple store so that I could display the content of my phone on my TV. It works for video and photo slide shows but I want to mirror my phone content like you can for the iPhone 4s. Is there a work around to make this adapter work for me?

Rather than mirror the display, set it to 'extended desktop' and have the browser on one screen and the movie on the other.
CMD F1 will toggle between mirror and extended.

I recently (Jan 2012) acquired a MacBook Pro (MBP) running 10.7.4 and an AirPort Express. I also have an old PPC G4 tower (Digital Audio model) running 10.4.11. The OS software on both machines is totally up to date. AirPort Utility on the G4 is 5.4.2

I recently (Jan 2012) acquired a MacBook Pro (MBP) running 10.7.4 and an AirPort Express. I also have an old PPC G4 tower (Digital Audio model) running 10.4.11. The OS software on both machines is totally up to date. AirPort Utility on the G4 is 5.4.2 and on 6.0 on the MBP. I bought a used AirPort card for the G4, I believe it is 802.11b compatible, and the wireless data rate is specified at 11 Mbps. Being a newbie to wireless, it took me many days to get these two machines to link up. This network is not connected to the internet, and there no other networks in the vicinity.
My last problem to solve is the very slow file transfer speeds between the two machines. The transfer time seems to vary depending on which machine I use to initiate the transfer, and which direction the transfer is going. For example: If I initiate the transfer from the G4 and send a 5.4MB file to the MBP it takes 1:32 (min:sec), while the same file going from the MBP to the G4 takes 27 seconds. On the other hand if the transfer is initiated on the MBP, going from the MBP to the G4 takes 2:56, while going from the G4 to the MBP takes 1:59. I realize that these times are not actual wireless transfer times but includes the entire transfer process.
Both machines and the AirPort Express are within a 4-foot radius. Both machines are set to radio channel 2. The AirPort Express is set for 802.11n(802.11b/g compatible) with WPA/WPA2 Personal wireless security.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I could connect them by ethernet if all I wanted to do was transfer files, but I would like to network them so I could use wireless internet. The machines are not always so close together, I did that to simplify the testing. With the very slow transfer speeds I am reluctant to move ahead with the internet step.

Does Av digital adapter works with the universal dock for remote control?

if I only connect the Lightning to 30 pin adapter to the universal dock for remote control it works so good with music, spotify, Netflix, YouTube etc.
but if I add the av digital lightning adapter to watch on Tv, the dock and remote control don't work anymore what can I do? I want to watch stuff on tv and use the IR dock for remote control please help me what's going wrong?

I recently purchased a universal dock for my iphone 3g. It works great. I just had one question. When my iphone is sitting on it for lets say 20 - 30 minutes. Then if i press the buttons on the remote. nothing happens! If I then press the home button while it is on the cradle then, the remote, it plays music. There after lets say if I stop stop the music through the remote and again press the remote button after a few minutes it starts playing. So what happens after a long time. Why do i have to press the home button on the iphone for the remote to work. Is that how it is supposed to work???

VGA is an analog signal, while HDMI is an uncompressed digital image.
The uncompressed digital image is more superior.

Bought the Apple Digital AV Adapter for my I-pad 3. When I coonect it to the Ipad and my HD TV to play a movie, (even rented movies from Apple), I get an error message that says that the content is protected and cannot be displyed on my device. Has anyone else had this problemn or know of a way to resolve the issue?

You're pobably seeing a copy protection (HDCP) related problem.

To view iTunes Store content using a non-HDCP digital connection, do one of the following:
Sync the SD version of the TV show
Use an Apple Component AV cable to play the HD version at 480p

Ipad 3 to my TV with the Apple Digital AV Adapter. The Ipad is acting strange when I connect

When I connect my Ipad3 to my TV with the Apple Digital AV Adapter the touch screen starts to act strange. The mirroring on the TV looks great, but its impossible to navigate on the Ipad. It keeps opening apps I have not selected and not responding when I try to open and close f.ex. pictures and videos.
When I disconnect everything is back to normal.
Any suggestions?

Question about the digital adapter

Hi-
Fios just came to town and we have a Tivo HD so cable cards there, so that's what we'll order. We also have an old analog TV in the bedroom with one of the government subsidized $40 converter boxes on it so we can watch OTA TV. My question is- do I need to order the digital adapter as well, or can the FIOS coax go through the $40 converter box? Just to watch local or basic- I know we won't get HD or premium. Just need something to watch while we fall asleep....
Next question- I've read this forum and seems to be problems ordering initial service WITHOUT ordering a STB as well. Is that still the case?

Fios won't work with the government box, those are for OTA only. If you want to watch Fios channels, you'll need the digital adapter or another one of their boxes.
