  • The tool bar that has edit, delete view tools etc. and the row below it that had the refresh key have disappeared, how do I get them back?

About 2 weeks ago the tool bar at the top of the page when i log on vanished. Its the toolbar that has copy, edit, view, tools, etc. A week later the next line vanished that has the refresh key and a search line. Now I can't clear cookies, caches, history etc. Please help me restore these bars/lines.

I had this problem too, but someone suggested pressing the F10 key to restore the menu bar. In that under View, there is a place to pick the menu bar and features you want. It worked in my case.

  • The "Live view" does not show in dreamweaver CS 6

    Hi,
I  cant find the live view button on dreamweaver's toolbar.. there is the code, split, design, and live but not live view..
There is also another problem concerning the live option which I'm hoping will disappear if I find the live view option.. The problem is my team and I are working on a dreamweaver project, and my colleage gets the view properly, by that I mean: She has the home page, she click on an option and goes to the next page etc.. As for me, when I click the view button, I kinda get something similar to that in the design view... I dont get just the hope page, I get all the pages under each other seperated by dotted guidlines.. how can I fix this?

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply, regarding the 2nd question, this is how live view appears when I click design live view:
    http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/ww256/flower1991a/2965152b-70e8-491d-a13c-a450b03dba2f_ zps1a90075c.jpg
where it displays the copywrited information thats where the footer of the 1st page is, and where it says New Application thats where the header of the 2nd page is..  in the first page there is the header, the buttons (which do not appear as buttons they just look like hyperlinks) are supposed to take you to the other pages; however, the buttons don't work and all the pages are stacked under each other..
Its supposed to look like something similar to this:
    http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/ww256/flower1991a/44_zpse578b113.png
so that when the 1st option is clicked it takes you to the next page...,, the 2nd picture is the original file my friend is working on and the first picture is the copied file that I need to edit..

  • I am unable to use the Live View function when working with JavaScript in Dreamweaver.

I am currently trying to set up my own website with dreamweaver and am very familiar with Java and JavaScript. However, whenever I try to use the Live View function it never lets me. Additionally, I am unable to preview my work in a browser as the option to do so is greyed out.
However, I have noticed that when using html in a project, all these functions are available. Any ideas how I can be able to use these functions?

Is it possible you meant to say you were "very unfamiliar with Java and javascript" in your initial post?
Javascript doesn't do anything without an html page to affect.
Java and javascript are not the same thing, they're really not even related other than browsers can be made to render both. Java is its own programming language while javascript is basically html's helper monkey. I don't think it's even feasible to "understand javascript" without knowing html. My last post still stands, if you are coding javascript, you need an html based page to turn it into anything but plain code to a browser, so the option to view it will never come up. When you preview the page it's attached to, it will function correctly (as long as it has been attached to the page correctly).
Java on the other hand can create programs that run without a browser at all and I've never gotten close to touching that monster.
You may need to explain what you're trying to do and post the code here to get the help you need.

  • The firefox button and the panorama view button are both missing in FF4 RC1

I updated to FF4 RC1 two days ago and noticed that the panorama view button was missing and the firefox button, which is supposed to replace the File, Edit, View etc. menus had not done so. So basically, I'm still stuck with the FF3 style menu buttons.

The Firefox button is default on Windows Vista and 7, but not on XP. The best explanation I can find was on one of the bug reports.
"In terms of external consistency, nearly every app on XP uses a traditional menu bar (windows explorer, etc.) While some users will prefer to switch to the Firefox button, I think we should stick to the native interactive style for each platform to reduce overall confusion and allow for an easy transition to the new version."
There were a few reasons for not displaying the panorama button by default. It can be confusing to those who have never seen it before if they click on the button, and there are some issues concerning memory usage that have still to be sorted out.

  • I have a document made up of separate PDF files which reside in a folder and are linked to each other via hyperlinks. Each pdf file is set to open with bookmarks displayed, however if I link from one PDF file to another and use the "Previous View" button

I have a document made up of separate PDF files which reside in a folder and are linked to each other via hyperlinks. Each pdf file is set to open with bookmarks displayed, however if I link from one PDF file to another and use the "Previous View" button to navigate back to my starting point the bookmarks are replaced by "page thumbnails". Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

    Hi Pusman,
While setting up the links, if you choose to open the file in a new window then you won't face this issue, then you can simply switch to the previous file and bookmark view will remain as it is.
Does that helps with your query?

  • How to view the "Live View" in Final Cut?

    Hi!
I bought the Canon 550d yesterday, and after 30 minutes of use, I realized that the only way to get what you want in terms of focus is to just do it manually.
The only problem is - I need to capture my own face, which means that I can't see anything on the camera screen.
So, I saw that some youtube video makers have their "live" view in final cut, which I thought was brilliant, but I have no idea how to do it.
So here's my question - how do I "view" the live view from my camera in FCP?
    Thanks for the help

most yt-makers don't use FCPX, but designated tools like ScreenFlow which offers such an 'effect'. Like in this short advice I made for a friend ...

  • What happened to the Previous View button?

I was distressed to see that the Previous View button, so useful in Reader Version 9, seems to have been removed in version X. Is there any way configure version X so as to get it back? (If not, what could the designers at Adobe have been thinking?!?)

    Thanks so much!
I was expecting to find a Tools > Customize menu choice as in version 9. Although that would have made it more obvious, on the possitive side we can view this as part of the gradual training of PC users - myself in this case - to 'right-click when you want to know something'.

  • Error message when I insert a div tag: Couldn't commit the changes made in Live View. Refresh the Live View and try editing again.

According to a web and support forum search, myself and another person, Chloe in the Dreamweaver Club forum, have ever reported this. Trying to follow along a Lynda.com tutorial, and the instructor isn't getting this error. Can't imagine why it's happening. I'd be very grateful for any help. I'm also getting an error dialog message:
    DIALOG BOX:
While executing onClick in InsertFGDiv.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 687 of file "Macintosh HD:Applications:Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014.1:Configuration:Commands:InsertFGElement.js": The object is not currently contained in a document.
This appears at the top of the screen:
Couldn't commit the changes made in Live View. Refresh the Live View and try editing again.  [Refresh doesn't do anything.]

The solution for Javascript errors is likely the one.

slideshow widget works in the live view but doesnt in actual browser. help!!!!

By "doesn't work in actual browsers" do you mean while using Preview in Browser, or have you uploaded the page and it's not working?
If it's not working after being uploaded, make sure all of the supporting files have been uploaded (.js and .css) as well.
If it's not working in PIB, is it with all browsers, or just certian ones?
Can you post a link to the malfunctioning page?
