You might have to bite the bullet and restore the device if nothing else works. If that doesn't bring it back to life, make an appointment at an Apple Store and let take a look at it. -
i came home and my iphone is now frozzen on the apple screen and it hasnt been doing anything i put it in the charger and its not doing anything how do i get it to work so i can text and call and stuff
I got to that page but clicking on the Subscribe Free had no effect.
Nothing showed in the Podcasts nor the iTunes U.
In fact I also subscribed to Stanford's lectures and despite actually managing to DL them there is still no subscription in iTunes U, just the Intro to Computer Science belatedly.

A few days after i've updated to iOS 8.1.1 my iphone 5s died and isn't turning on and its not charging. i have my legit charger that came with my phone and after 6 months it stopped working, i even have a charging case and that wont charge it. I google searched the problem and tried cleaning the charging port but still nothing! some please help

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task:

my iPhone 4 has just shut down. Rang the phone then vibrated for 2 minutes bank screen, will not turn on, also tried charging and will not charge. Any suggestions? I did download a ringtone app and went on to iTunes to sync!.
Try charging the iPhone via a wall socket for at least 30 minutes then try a reset by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button for 20 seconds (maybe longer) until the Apple logo appears, ignore the red slider. Then turn back on. You won't lose any data doing the reset.

I have a 4th generation Ipod Touch. It has been working for months when yesterday the battery started acting werid. I was driving and it was connected with the usb charger cable to my car stereo when all the sudden my music stopped and the stereo could not recognize my ipod at all. When I got back home, I tried to charge it so it wouldnt die but even while on the charger in the wall the battery continued to die. I charged it over night (the first time I have ever charged it over night) desperately to have battery for a 4 o clock plane flight so I would have entertianment. The ipod died over night while on the charger. When I unplugged it from the usb charging cable I noticed that the icon telling me the ipod needed to be charged came up. So I plugged it back in. The charging thunder bolt symbol popped up next to the very small red strip on the left side of the battery indicating that the ipod had no charge to turn its self on. I tried plugging it in on the computer, the wall ac charger and a stereo system made just for the ipod that also pluggs into the wall. I have used 2 different cables, the result being the same that the ipod held no charge, and it wouldnt charge at all while on the charger, and it would imediately die once i take it off the charger.
I have not idea what has happened ....

THanks!- While charging try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next try restoring the iPod via iTunes. First from backup and if still problem restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
- However, I really think that the iPod has a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. If defective Apple should give you a refurbished iPod. -
My ipod is not getting charged, and its not being recognized by windows
The day before, i left my ipod in the bathroom for the whole day without doing anything to it. Yes, the battery was already drained i just didn't charge it.
Today, I connected my ipod to my computer to charge but nothign is happening. Usually it'll say say something like "please wait very low battery", but as of now its completely blank. I did the basic troubleshooting procedures, reseting, restarting pc, updating... etc. I also tried to connect to a different computer but it still doesnt' work. I always leave the cable connected to the pc sitting on my desk and i'm positive nothign happenend to it, unless it broke while sitting on a table. I've had this ipod for bout 8 months now and this has never happened.
Is there anything else i can do to fix this before sending it to apple?

2. I never heard the "400" figure. Where did you get it from?
3. Even if "400" is correct, the battery could have been defective from the start and perhaps this one can take only 100 charge cycles. For what it's worth, it does seem like it died too soon. From what I've seen here on the forums, batteries typically ast 18 to 24 months, obviously dependent on usage.
4. I could be totally wrong about the battery being shot! I just can't imagine what else it could be.

I don't think that the magnet storage is a good idea but I don't think that it would cause this problem. Unfortunately, the bottom line is that you can't do any testing or try any of the basic repair sequences if you can't charge the iPod. If you're close to an Apple Store (owned and operated by Apple), take it to the "Genius Guy" or whatever he's really called. You will need an appointment. Don't tell Apple about the magnets! -
My battery wont charge and its not being recognized.
Okay, I got my MacBook yesterday (4-7-08) and I noticed that it wasn't charging. Went through all the different ways of trying to fix it and have come to the conclusion that it is a bad battery. I called customer service today and all my spec. and what not are bad....like really bad....

Now, about 20 minutes ago, I notices that it's not even recognizing the battery at all. So, now I'm trying to figure it out.
I received this laptop from school. I'm am a graphic design student and I have never really used a Mac before...I just want to know if it's just the battery or if I need a whole new one.

Unplug the computer. Remove the battery. Hold down the power button for *5 seconds.* Put the battery back in. Plug the computer back in and turn it on.
Unfortunately technology is not perfect and you may have received a dud. But that's a load of crap that the school won't take it back. Did you get it at your school's computer store, or is it used and they gave them away? If you got it from the store, then there's no reason why they shouldn't take it back. Ask to speak to a manager. -
My ipod touch 1st generation doesnt wanna charge and its not recognized on iTunes!
Ok so when i try to charge my ipod touch 1st gen 8 gigs wit the usb it doesnt want too even wit the outlet charger it doesnt want too. its not even recognized by itunes either. i have a ipod classic 120 gigs that one does charge by the outlet and usb and its recognized by itunes. i dont know why my ipod touch doesnt wanna charge or be recognized by itunes whats wrong??? my usb is version 2.0 also.
You can try the troubleshooting here. If that does not work I suggest an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store since you may have a hardwar problem like a dead battery.

Ipod Charging problems
There is no charging app. You just plug it into the computer via the cable that comes with it. A charging app, were one to exist, can't do a thing if you can't connect the device to a charger or to the computer via the cable.
