The battery meter is stuck

I bought a new Lenovo vibe X2 from Flipkart and after using for 20 days I experience this problem.
The battery meter is stuck at 100%. The battery meter also does not come down even though I keep using it and suddenly phone get switched off after 6-7hrs without any notification.
Phone Details:
Android Version : 4.4.2
Build Number: X2-AP_ROW_S125_141205
Please help me to resolve this.
Thanks..

One of the fellow Lenovo users posted this solution for K900.. but it did not work for me. I could not get the boot menu working.

  • Why is the battery meter so annoyin?

Ok heres the thin, i got my 5g black 30gig ipod two weeks ago...everythin was fine, until after the first full charge i noticed after about an hour of music the battery meter was down to 3/4 of a charge and kept goin down dramatically, after reading some of the disscussions i did the update and charged it untill it said full, so then after about 4 1/2 hours its in the red, so obviously it still goes down quite fast, to calibrate it at the moment by runnin it till dead, so has anybody else had this problem, and what happened to you....another thing what is the best way to charge it...through an ac adapter or computer.

ok...using my ipod normally (between .5 and 1 hour a day right now) the battery lasted about 8 hours....so it ran for 3.5 hours in the red...this is really dissapointing although it says that it will run 8-12 hours, but also realizing that was the first time doin a charge discharge cycle to try and calibrate it but after charging it the meter is doin the exact same thing...after fully chargin it, the second i start playin music the meter goes down...now the backlight timer is 2 seconds, the eq is off, and the library is on shuffle...and i only change songs once in a while...so why am i only gettin 8 hours?

Choose Go to Folder from the Finder's Go menu and enter ~/Library/Preferences/ as the folder's path. Locate the item named com.apple.systemuiserver with or without a plist at the end, and drag it to the desktop.

You can try 2 things: 1) let it discharge completly, then plug the AC charger without turn the tablet on and leave it until if finish charging, then power it on and check if battery charge is correct 2) do a factory reset (backup you data before doing it). settings/backup&reset - factory data reset

  • My GPS notification arrow next to the battery meter is staying on.

My GPS notification arrow next to the battery meter is staying on all the time, but I have no apps open in the background using gps.  Anyone else?

    I found the culprit.
    Settings>general>background app refresh.
This seems to be a new menu that allows you to customize which apps continuously update in the background. You keep all the apps open on location services BUT turn them off in background app refresh.
    All better now!

  • When I plug my ac adapter in to charge my macbook, the battery meter goes to "0".  Help?

Ok so I had 9 battery percent left and i plugged my macbook in to charge it.  The battery meter on screen went to "0" with the little charging symbol next to it.  When i pressed the battery indicator button on the side of the macbook, it only showed one dot.  The battery status says "Condition: Replace Soon" and these are the power specs:

    Thanks a lot.

According to your cycle count (508), you've done extremely well - the normal life cycle for a battery is considered to be about 300 cycles (those are charge cycles). And yes, batteries do not last forever - be happy it lasted this long. So, I'd say it is time to get a new one to have on hand when this one drops out altogether.

  • Macbook Pro battery is not charging but the battery meter is full

    Hi guys!
I have a 19 months macbook pro. I've tried using 2 different AC adapter but my mac's battery is still at 0% and the status says "Battery is not charging". I think my battery is dead but the LED battery indicator on my battery shows 5 lights, means its at full power.
I've tried to disconnect the AC cable and remove the battery, then press the power button for 10 sec but nothing change when i start my mac again...i also tried to reset my PRAM ( i think ) by holding a cmdopt+PR while rebooting but it didn't help to solve the problem too. I also have the battery update 1.2 installed on my mac and the results is still the same.
This is my battery info from system profiler. I hope someone can tell me what to do before I visit the Apple store.

    Hello,
I am having some strange battery behavior. I bought a FastMac TruePower Battery that is supposed to have extended capacity. Now when the battery dies, i plug in my MagSafe to charge it and it immediately says 'not charging', but then begins to charge. It either continues to charge and gets stuck at 80% or so and reads "calculating" in the menu bar, or just jumps between 'charging' and 'not charging'. The symptoms are very strange, and FastMac already sent this battery back saying it passes all of their tests. I do not want to send it back again because they charged me to send it back to myself even though it still does not work as advertised. I have my original Macbook Pro Apple battery which still charges fine, so i assume it is a problem with the battery based on a simple process of elimination.

  • Whats wrong with the battery meter?

The battery sometimes goes up and the goes down
    Example:
The battery is on 86% then it lowers down to 80% and then goes back to 84%

Try a reset and see if that fixes it : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Also have you been doing at least one charge cycle per month - http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html :
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

  • The battery meter on my iPhone stopped working, it always reads full?

A few days ago my iPhone's battery bar stopped accurately reporting how much power I have. I hoped the new software upgrade would fix it, but it's still broken. Is there a common troubleshooting method for this malfunction? Is it common? What do I do, I'm super paranoid that it's just gonna suddenly die on me! Thanks.

Allow your iPhone's battery to run completely down - let it die - preferably when you are at home. When the battery reaches that level, your iPhone will power off automatically.
Plug your iPhone in and charge it to full. This should re-calibrate the battery indicator.
If this doesn't resolve it, time to give AppleCare a call at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

  • IPad 2 battery meter stuck, anyone else?

It seems after downloading a few apps and putting the iPad to sleep with wifi on the battery meter stops updating the next day when I wake it from sleep. I used to notice the ipad draining by 1% every 9 minutes, but now it has been 20+ minutes and no change. A reset seems to fix the problem, but is anyone else encountering this issue or willing to test? I'm on iOS 4.3.5

Ater a few more weeks of testing, I have noticed several more details about the battery. After a full charge to 100%, the first few % (going from 100% down to 90%) takes longer to drain compared to the rest of the battery. So going from 100% down to 99% took me 22 minutes and towards the 90% mark, I noticed more consistent drainage (about 9 minutes for every 1%)
The second thing I noticed is that downloading apps had nothing to do with the battery meter getting stuck. It just took a really long time (about 27 to 30 min) for it to get unstuck after I first woke it from sleep. This would happen only when I left the ipad for long periods of inactivity (sleep). It would not happen after putting it to sleep and waking it up in 10 minutes (battery continues to drain properly).
The third thing I tried to test was to rule out the battery meter reporting the % incorrectly. If the meter was following a pattern whereby it was stuck at 100% for 30 min and then continued to drain properly, this should affect the ipads battery life. I continued to use the ipad over the course of a week (with the meter getting "stuck" several times) until it hit its final 1%. I was able to use it for about 6-7 minutes before it died. Basically the ipads battery meter was reporting the % accurately (even with the meter being "stuck") or the ipad would have just died at around 2% or more since the ipads battery meter was constantly getting "stuck" over the course of the week.
I think this has something to do with the rechargeable batteries themselves. For instance; after heavy usage of the battery followed by a long period of rest, the battery seems to gain some of its charge back or at least retain a higher capacity (this would explain why the battery meter seems stuck when you wake it from a long sleep). However; after heavy usage and a short rest period, the battery seems to not retain this ability.
I'm not sure if this phenomenon applies to all rechargeable batteries and it would be great if other ipad owners would post their experience (not even sure if anyone else actually takes the time to stare at their battery meter and time it for every % that goes down lol).

  • X40 battery meter stuck

    My battery meter has stuck.
It is displayed in the toolbar, but it stays showing the same % remaining battery all the time.
When I switch off, or put it to sleep, and power back on again, it displays the correct battery level - but then sticks at that level.
It used to work perfectly well.  Does anyone have any hints about how to start it again?  I've tried rebooting, and I've tried reinstalling the power manager.

Hi rteather and welcome to the community,
What version are you running?  Your driver page shows version 5.05 but the ThinkVantage programs updates shows version 5.12.
Maybe you need a different version for it to work.  Your driver page also shows Battery Maximiser and and Power Manager features available for download.

  • Battery meter stuck at 100% Power Source: Power Adapter even when unplugged

For the past few days my Macbook Pro has been saying it's plugged in even when it is not. The battery meter stays at 100% even though the battery is draining. The other day it died while I was using it and gave no warning that the battery was low. The battery meter on the side seems to show the correct battery level, however.
Is there any way that I can reset whatever runs the battery meter?

    Reset the System Management Controller:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
If that doesn't correct it and you still have waranty coverage, take the machine in for service.

  • Why is the battery percentage on my iPhone 4S on iOS7 freezing then dropping in big 10/20% chunks?

Since upgrading to iOS7 my 4s has been having issues with battery meter. Take today for instance, it fell steadily to 59% then dropped instantly to 39% (I was not using any apps at the time). It has now been stuck on 32% for over half an hour, I've taken photos, used YouTube and other apps in an attempt to drain it but no change.
I've turned off all unnecessary processes, including location services and background refresh to eliminate drain. System status meter shows processor operating at 10% when no apps open so it doesn't look like background processes are draining.
I can't rely on the battery meter when it isn't accurate, it could suddenly drop to 5% or similar without warning.
Is anyone else having these problems?  Any ideas Apple?
It's going to render my phone untrustworthy and inaccurate.

    Hi!
    I am having similar issue.
I have upgraded my iPhone 4s to the new iOS 7 and since then my battery indicator is stucked at 44%. Now regardless how much I charge or how much I use, it is showing the same battery level.
Although this get refreshed when I restart the iPhone and it shows the current battery level and then again stucks at the same percentage. This was working fine on iOS 6.1.3, but is showing issues after the upgrade.
I have tried to restore it, reset settings by selecting Erase All Content and Settings, hard reset (power+home button for 10 sec) but still no good, it shows the same level of battery percentage at which it is since last reboot.
Although I was having iOS 6.1.3 ispw so I downgraded it again as Apple was signing iOS 6.1.3 at that time. Now the battery percentage is working fine. Therefore its not a hardware issue for sure and is just some bug with iOS 7.
Now I have again upgraded to iOS 7.0.3, and I am facing the same issue again. And now I can't even downgrade to iOS 6.1.3.
If you get some tips on how to solve this, then please share the same.

  • Battery meter reads only 0-1%, or 99%.

OK, well this a little hard to explain but I'll try my best:
Basically, one day a couple weeks ago I took my PowerBook to school and had it in class and basically drained the battery completely to 0%, managing to still continue working about 30-35 minutes after reading 0%. OK, so it powers itself off and goes to sleep. Understandable. I put it away and charged it back up at home later that night.
The problem now is that the battery meter up at top no longer gives me accurate readings on the battery. When the battery has been charging for about as long as it usually would take for it to say 100%, it stays at like 2%. Sometimes, it'll just jump right from 1 all the way to 99%. Ok, like right now it said 2% but now went to 1% even though the AC adapter is still connected and the light has remained on. I have not seen the percentage say anything between 3 and 98% ever since the day I used it in class. It will go from 0-2%, then occasionally to 99% and back to 2, 1, 0. To make this problem seem even a little more strange, before this problem started showing, the computer would rarely start itself up again in the morning without being plugged into the wall first. Essentially, it would become "cold" overnight, and I'd have to plug it in first to the wall to start up. NOW, this thing always wakes up from sleep in the morning or basically whenever no matter how little battery life I think it has.
I got my computer in Jan/2004 and it still has the original battery. Needless to say, I was already getting some pretty short battery life. I'm not sure what the proper procedure on batteries in these things are, if I should have replaced it by now with a new one?
