The battery of my iphone 5

Dear Sir,
I bought my I phone 5 from the United states, knowing that it has support system worldwide and trusting that apple will never disappoint its customers.
the phone has a problem with its battery as most of the I Phone 5 have.
I checked the apple site under support tab, there is the battery replacement program, and when i submitted the serial no. of my phone, it said it was eligible for this program.
the problem is that i now live in UAE, and they are refusing to help me in replacing the phone or the battery even after i offered to pay for it.
the serial no. of my I phone is: DNPJH10JDTTP.
Please advice on how to solve the problem noticing that i cant stay without my phone for long time.

HT201210 Just replaced the battery in my iPhone 4S. Before doing so I backed-up then wiped the phone. Now when I go to restore it, it gets about 3/4 done and that is when I get an error message, "Code 1." does this mean I fried it?? :-(

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:

The battery deterioration started 11 months after purchase and is not covered by Apple warranty. What is the problem of the iPhone5 and would appreciate suggestions on how to address this problem. By the way, I have a 2 year old iphone 4S with a battery performance as good as when it was bought two years ago.
