The beauty of the WRT54GL - Can it be done again?

Hello WRT fans and Linksys personnel!
I would like to first say that I LOVE the WRT54GL (as many do). Over the years I have bought them not only for myself, but for friends and family too. It is the most flexible geek-friendly device I have ever owned, and its overwhelming popularity is clearly something to learn from.
The reason it has gained so large a following is obvious to me. It's that magical little "L" at the end of the model number (which, in case you don't already know, stands for Linux). It is my understanding that that feature was put there so that people like us can have fun with our devices. No more strict reliance on someone else to dictate what our firmware can do. Thanks to that we have amazing projects like DD-WRT, Tomato and OpenWRT, just to name a few.
My question is simple: When will we get a modern version of this device? When will the guts of it be upgraded to 802.11n with a few gigabit ports on the back? I think it would be the most profitable move you could make, Linksys.
As it stands I would NEVER purchase any other router than the WRT54GL simply because there is no other good open-source router on the market. But alas, in a world of HD content, the old girl is being put to the test. Without 802.11 and gigabit speeds, things often require an element of patience.
Won't you please consider reviving this amazing product? If it's not too much to ask, I'd like to make a few small suggestions:
1. No need to get fancy. Leave the shell exactly the same as the WRT54GL. I love the look of it! The latest line of Linksys routers look very shiny and sleek, but I don't trust shiny and sleek nearly as much as angular and utilitarian. I want a man's router, not a fashion statement! Heh heh!
2. Make it completely open-source. That's the main selling point after all!
3. Call it the WRT54NL. Yes, I know the 54 would no longer be representative of speeds, but for the sake of nostalgia? Ok, maybe this one is too much to ask!
I sincerely hope this notion is taken seriously. It would be a real pleasure as a loyal customer to be heard!

Why not just press the standby button on top of the phone?
Hold it for two seconds to turn off the display (all calls, notifications and emails/texts) will still go through.
I was using keyboard lock, standby is much easier. Just push the button again to bring it out of standby.

You can't drag video into the filesharing pane of iTunes, you can only transfer projects.
Videos need to come in via the photos tab of iTunes.
The easiest way to get videos from the iPhone to the iPad is via the project export import.
Projects can be exported from the iPhone, then imported to the iPad like this:
iPhone Send a project or trailer to iTunes
If the marquee screen isn’t showing, tap the My Projects button .
Scroll to center the project or trailer you want to share.
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen, and then tap iTunes; tap OK when iMovie indicates that export is complete.
Connect your device to your computer, and then open iTunes on your computer.After a moment, your device appears in iTunes, below Devices on the left.
Select the device, and then click Apps at the top of the iTunes window.
Select iMovie in the Apps list below File Sharing. (You may need to scroll to see it.)
In the iMovie Documents pane, select the file you just shared, and then click the “Save to” button; save the file to your computer in a place where you can find it easily.You can also save the file by dragging it to the desired location on your computer.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

are you sure the lats/longs aren't there? if not, i don't know how to add them now, but you can click on the 'i' in the picture and zoom in on the map as close as possible. to get the lat/long on there beforehand you have to turn on the camera's location in the settings app. or did you accidentally post this in the iphone forum?

Chris, The sequence number is the first column of numbers, to the left of the Name column. It always goes 1, 2,3 etc. It is not the same as the Track Number, which has its own column.
As a precaution before burning, make sure that Shuffle is tunred off, and that you right-click the playlist name and choose 'Copy to Play Order" (although technically they should not affect the burn).

Well thank you for your honesty. Apple requires you have to have a Mac to develop iPhone apps, ergo my foray into OS-Xland. No way around it that one except for running OSX in a VM, which would have probably saved me some quid, true enough.
BUT for those interested parties: VirtualBox has a startup script in /Library/StartupItems/VirtualBox that will prevent OSX from fully booting on the initial (and required) rEFIt boot cycle. Once I temporarily moved that out of the StartupItems rEFIt went in as expected.
FYI, the openSUSE desktop running native is a little peppier than OSX native which was a nice surprise. Now if the Mac just had more open source software we would have a deal. (:

No. GarageBand '11 only runs on suitable Mac computers. GarageBand for iPad only runs on iPads.

Your apps are not stored in your icloud account. You should be able to delete the app from the device using the wiggling icons and tap the X process and then downloading directly to device from the itunes store wirelessly. Don't do it via iTunes on your computer where a copy of the app is stored.

Reset the iPod. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

Error while syncing can not be erased and have gone to all articles and nothing has worked. Have tried to erase my data in the sync file and that can not be done - it says try again another time. What now?

This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Movies currently available in the USA only. Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later. Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list, or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid. Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases.
