Would you please let me know edition information of the server where this issue occurred? Was it SBS 2011? Did
you remember which operation you had done before this issue occurred? For examples, install updates or third-party applications or any other?
On current situation, please run
sfc /scannow command to scan all protected system files and monitor the result. Please also check if all necessary Windows Updates were installed.
By the way, did you encounter any issue when open and use IE?

I am unable to see the Remote App and Desktop Connection in Group Policy Management Editor on my 2012 R2 DC. I am therefore not able configure the connection URL in Access RemoteApp and desktops in our Windows 8.1 client environment.
Within the Group Policy Under User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components all I see is:-

Remote Desktop Connection Client
Remote Desktop Session Host
But NOT
Remote App and Desktop Connection

We have developed a BDC program to assign MIC`s in routing operations,at the end of assigning the MIC`s in the operations the system is giving the below message .
Error occurred when checking type $ group $.
Please note that 100% sampling procedure is assigned in MIC`s.
Please advise how to recfity the same .
PS :- while creating it manually there are no errors.

Trishna NambiarThere was some problem with Sampling unit of the MICs assigned in the operations. This caused the error. Error log was in Tasklist checklist in the Inspection plan.

When we created the user accounts using Windows SBS Console, it created a local mailbox for each user

Performed a Domain Rename as per the following instructions:

But still I have the following issues:
At least for group policy clients believe they are on the old domain - despite even having renamed the computers with the new domain name.
When I perform a gpresult the output file shows as being connected to the old Domain - despite manually going into computer properties and renaming the computer with the new domain name...

I can select to remove the domain from the console but this does nothing - as said it already shows the new domain in the console.
Far as I am aware the clients should not even of needing renaming or changing the domain, but were having authentication issues before I did this. Not sure what I have done wrong here..?Client's NSLookup shows "UnKnown" as DNS Server so thought to check DNS out.

Error occurs when I open the tasks list in MS Project Professional 2013 from SharePoint 2013

I have created a SharePoint 2010 workflow for a tasks list that updates a list item column if the Date Complete <= Today's date & Percentage Complete = 100%
I used 'Set Field in Current Item' in the workflow & the values are updated in the list for the current item.
However, when I open the tasks list in MS Project Professional 2013 from SharePoint 2013, then I get a error "We can't write task - taskname to the SharePoint site. This is either because tasks list is in read only mode or because this task has a column
that requires unique value."
If I remove the 'Set Field in Current Item' in the workflow, then the error does not occur. However, the 'Set Field in Current Item' in the workflow is required.
Please provide solution to this issue ASAP. Your reply will be greatly appreciated.

A shot in the dark here. I'm not convinced the error is from the workflow. What is the definition of the list item column in SharePoint? Have you set the column to requiring a unique vale? Look at the column definition. -
Strange error message when starting OHS2 after Policy Manager install

Before going further, do we have other domain controllers? If yes, does GPMC work correctly on these domain controller? GPMC reports the error "No Such interface supported" normally is due to a missing or corrupted Windows component.
Besides, do we update the server to the latest? If not, we can update the server to the latest and then reinstall the GPMC to see if the issue persists.

Error occuring when opening file programatically?
I am trying to create a directory(ok) and then create a file from information obtained from a program(error). In this example i am calling the directory C:\TESTDATA\`serialnumber`\`type of test` and the file called `date``operator`.xls
However once the directory is created, an error occurs when i open the file to write my table into?
Can anyone help?

I've added more detail about the error, this server is exactly how I initially installed it. This was a clean install not a migration so Exchange was a new installation. I have not applied any service packs as I did not want to confuse matters
or compound the issue. I was wondering whether to install Server 2008 Service Pack 1 & the Exchange Service Packs. I will check the event logs & report back with what I find.
