The best case and screen protector for the iPad 4 Retina?

I have just purchased an iPad for my parents as a surprise gift and it should be arriving this Friday. I am quite stumped however on deciding on what case do I put this iPad in and what screen protector do I put on the iPad.
For screen protection: I have seen a few videos and it seems like the ZAGG HD Screen Protector is a good way to protect the screen and enjoy the retina display. Does anyone have another opinion?
For cases: I was thinking of this case: Besdata Ultra Thin Magnetic Smart Cover & Back (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00CB7QGGM/ref=oh_details_o00__i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) Does anyone recommend it? I also thought of getting a case to cover the back and pairing that up with the Apple Smart Cover .. Does anyone recommend doing that and can anyone recommend back covers?
Sorry for all the questions but I want to have this iPad perfectly set up as a surprise for my parents this Friday.
Thanks in advance.

I also thought of getting a case to cover the back and pairing that up with the Apple Smart Cover
Why not get the Smart Case, a case and cover in one? And with a cover, you don't really need a screen protector. Well, at least I don't.

  • Xperia Z3 best case and screen protector

Can anyone tell me their top recommendation for a suitable case and screen protector for the Xperia Z3 smartphone please.
Looked on Amazon and still can't decide. Wanna get a case to protect it re dropping and protect the screen getting dirty quickly or scratched.
    Your help's appreciated!

For the screeb you could use a tempered glass screen protector

Do all your cases and screen covers for MacBook air 2010-2011 fit the 2012 model

Upon receiving my 2012 MBA, I removed the inCase hard shell from my 2011 model and fitted it to my 2012 unit. The fit is identical. Dimensionally they are the same.
So, if you are asking do all of mine fit? Yes they do.

  • Will i need a case or screen protector for iphone 5

will i need a case or screen protector for iphone 5? heard the glass is tougher, but still concerned about scratches.

I think you probably should ask if others ever felt they needed them. I can tell you from my experience that applying a screen protector never worked out for me and I always took them off shortly after applying (bubbles / dust enclosed). But then a former colleague had his applied in an Apple Store and that looked perfect. Fortunately I never had a scratch in a screen as I always took good care (and my iPhones always had a pocket in my trowsers to themselves and didn't need to share it with keys or other scratchy objects ...).
The case is a completely different story: I think every phone I had so far managed at least once to slide out of my pockets (don't laugh!) while being on a loo and hit the floor from low hight. Due to the covers I had, the phone looked as new as before, just the cases had a slight scratch if at all. Therefore a case would be highly recommended esp as it can safe you iPhone if you drop it from higher hight.
Reading the first hands-on reviews it appears that the new iPhone 5 is built with materials that are less prone to scratch or crack but my first purchase next Friday will be a case. Not sure if bumper or full case but a case nevertheless.

  • Should I get a screen protector for my iPad air 2?

SShould I get a screen protector for my iPad air 2?

It's a personal decision. I've had a screen protector on my iPad 2 since the day it was bought. Same with my touch 4 and 5 (and I was able to sell my touch 4 to Best Buy in 'like new' condition thanks to a screen protector and case). other people swear never to use them and their devices are just fine.
I have two nieces that like to use my iPad so I appreciate the protector and the ability to clean it off without worrying about messing with the screen. Others don't like how the screen protector feels and won't use them. So I'd say it boils down to how are you going to use your device. Will it sit on the coffee table and never leave the house and only be used by adults? then you can probably do fine without one. Gonna take it to school  and on vacation and all over the place using it wherever? then you should consider a screen protector and case
Just don't go for the super cheap ones off amazon. They're cheap for a reason. I use a zagg one. it is expensive but it has a lifetime guarantee. If it's messed up protecting your device they replace it free. So worth it for me.

  • Should I get a screen protector for my iPad or better buy a sleeve?

I already have a belkin case for my iPad ( which is way better compared to the apple case I returned mine and got the belkin instead)
Now I'm planning on buying a screen protector for my iPad Or a sleeve for traveling... Is it worth the buy to get an iPad screen protector? Or should I wait and look for more option when choosing a screen protector ?

Don't waste the money on a screen protector. Greasy fingers are easy to clean with a dry lint-free cloth since the screen is oleophobic or resistant to oil. You might actually have a worse experience with the screen protector. The glass is almost resistant to scratching. If my iPhone experience is anything, I've throw it into my pocket with keys, and I have no scratches on the screen.
Get the sleeve. I like the Apple version, because I can prop it up on my desk, and it does protect the screen when you're not using it.

  • Screen protector on an iPad with retina display?

What are your thoughts on using a screen protector on an iPad with retina display? Does this defeat the purpose of having a high quality display, or does the protection it affords despite the less sharp screen?

I like having the protection on my iPad. I use the Otterbox Defender Case that enclosed the device completely in a black hard shell cover and it has a built in screen protector. I remove the iPad from the case every other week in order to clean the iPad and the case and I use it for a few hours without the case so I can enjoy the beautiful retina display. But I do want the protection when all is said and done.
If you are a big photo editing person, or you watch a lot of movies and videos, the screen protector may spoil the experience for you. You have to make that assessment on your own.
Even with this particular built in screen protector, I can still see a big difference in the screen resolution compared to my iPad original that has a ZAGG Invisibke Shield on it.

  • Need a silicone case with screen protector for Zen Mi

Anyone seen a silicone case like the ones on ebay for the zen micro, but one that has a screen protector like the iSkins do? I need a case, the vaja are way too expensi've and I don't want anything bulky like the leather cases I've seen.

One more option: I have read and seen all of the case posts and had decided on the pdaen leather belt pouch, because it has a flip over snapable face protection with total accessability otherwise. Then I was working outside one day and it was raining slightly so I started using small plastic bags--ziplock and another which is like the bag at the grocery store that you put your produce in. I make a tiny incision for the jack and either tie or zip the open end. This works so well that I am no longer looking for a bag of any kind. It keeps out the dirt and more importantly, moisture, and it gives me exactly the same access as I had before I wrapped it-- touchpad and all. Not at all stylish, I know, just practical and functional.

  • 5800 case and screen protector

I bought my 5800 a week ago to use as a music/media device in addition to my n85. The 5800 came wit a nokia branded caseand the 5800 has a thinly striped screen protector on it. I have found that i can listen to my music whilst the phone is in the case without it affecting or muffling the sound. Great construction/invention there nokia.  The screen protector does have a cut-out for the sensor and the front camera usage.  Funnily enough i cannot actually feel the lines on the screen protector via my finger but i can if i use my nail or any of the provided stylus. Anyways, i digress. Can i keep this protector on the phone or will the ridges that are within the screen protector affect my phone's screen ie making scratches on the screen via my use either by the back of my nail or the stylus' and does anyone else have the problem i do that the screen doesnt seen particularly finger friendly to my touch, it likes to sit their looking at me or is it a case of my touch being too light? And is it easier to use for the majority of you with the tactile vibrate on or off? I have it on at the moment as i cant recognise whether  my touch has actually been recognised or not and lastly does anyone know if there is any rhyme or reason that would tell me when a menu or option requires two clicks or one. Its driving me mad. I wish it were all one way or all the other way.  I am running v20 by the way and looking forward to a version that has a faster ui recognition of my touch.  Many thanks.

I took mine off straight away might replace it with a protector from Martin Fields.
And i don't use the case either as i've heard from others that it can scratch rim around the screen.

  • Ifrogz case and screen protector

I had an ifrogz case on my 3G and really liked it. Bought one for my 4 but, even with ifrogz own screen protector, when I put the case on after installing the protector, the edges of the protector lift up. Seems like the only way to fix this is to trim the protector. You would think that protectors from the same company as the case wouldn't have this problem. Didn't mean for this to turn into a rant; I guess I'd like to know if anyone else has had this problem and might have a solution to it...

iFrogz is evidently aware their case causes problems with screen protectors. The felt inside the case is too think and the result is what you have noted. I also have an iFrogz case, but I received my free Apple case yesterday. It's the Incase Snap case and I REALLY like it. It provides the protection I need, and it will permit the installation of a full screen protector without fear the edges will bubble up.

  • Best case and protective film for iPod Touch.

I had to good sense to get a protective plastic film and case for my nano when i got it two years ago. Its still more or less immaculate so i am thinking i will get the same for the iPod touch.
Can anybody recommend a good protective case ?
If i apply a thin plastic protective film to the surface of my Touch, will it interfere with the touch screen functionality ?
If anybody can recommend a good protective film i would appreciate it.
    Thanks.

  • Best Case & Screen Protector for Early 2013 MacBook Pro 13" w/ Retina Display

    Hi All,
My question is captured in my Discussion Title - I'm simply trying to find out which cases and screen protectors works/fits best for the Early 2013 MacBook Pro computer?
    I appreciate your input,

I would think if you are going to run both of those programs at the same time, or even one at a time, a system with discrete graphic would be a better fit for you.
The next question is if you are doing web design do you really need a retina display. At this time only apple has them so everyother computer viewing your web designs wouldn't see the difference, if there is any to begin with.

  • Best anti glare screen protector iPad mini?

Looking for the best anti glare screen protector for iPad mini

Zagg is super expensive and I've never liked the orange peel effect they have. I think the best anti glare screen protector is the Tech Armor Screen Protector. It has a matte fingerprint free surface and costs less than $8.

  • Do you recommend using a screen protector for iPhone 5?

Does iPhone 5's screen scratch easily with normal use? I'm really careful with my Apple products, but I don't want to have scratches on my screen.

    had
2 ipod  touch never used one
1 iphone never used one but did crack the back glass a bit a screen protector would not have helped there though
1 ipad crack the front screen a bit from drop doubt a protector would have helped
don't really have much in the ways of scratches on any of them but if you are the type who will try to sell
the device  you own as soon as a new one is released then maybe both a rugged case and screen protector would be a good investment
