The best solution? Hub-and-spoke, Peer-to-peer, Multi-cast?

By the best solution, I mean in terms of price and quality (latency, minimum lag, etc)
App type: Video conferencing
Platforms: PC, Mobile (Android, iOS) [If mobile support would reduce performance or increase costs, I am willing to scrap it]
Users: There will be 5 - 30 users logged into the service in the same room at a time. And a maximum of 5 - 7 users in that room will have their webcam's on at any given time.
My main concern is performance, Since I might make it a paid service in the future, I don't think users would pay for something that has a lot of lag or trailing effects.
So I was hoping to get some advice on how I should set it up and pros and cons in respect to LCCS

Let me add my two cents here, when speaking about MAN deployments the name of the game is MPLS, so I guess you are using the same on your Cat 6500s and connecting your customers on 3550s using Vlans.
Regarding your questions:
a) Upgrading Ethernet to L3 for traffic shaping: This is basically done at 3550, so I suppose that's what you intend to do, plus you will be letting Spokes talk to only Hub site, so inter Vlan, atleast between Hub and each spoke will be required, hence inter valn routing. Other way is to configure P2P circuits between Hub site with Vlan mapping (per spoke) and Spoke sites with Port mapping, in this scenario Inter Vlan routing is not a necessity.
b) Security: This depends on what exact architecure you have deployed, in my case I have simply installed a Gateway router with BGP peering with PEs, a separate VRF alongwith redistribution does the trick.

I see you have another post about deleting movies and iDVD projects. Wanting the video to be available in the future is a significant criteria because video files are very large and are very compressed to fit on a DVD. If you want the video to be available in the future for additional editing (eg, highlights of the year), ideally you'd want to save the video in a format which will easily allow this. To me, this suggests you delete the iDVD projects but keep the iMovie files for future editing. This accomplishes the easy editing objective but keeps a lot of large files on your hard drive (each iMovie/iDVD project will be about 20% smaller -- assuming a 4 to 1 compression).
If you are willing to accept some additional work in the future and are okay with some reduction in video quality, you can pull sections from an existing DVD and use iMovie to combine them. The extra work is required to decompress the DVD, and this is also the reason for loss of some sharpness. This strategy reduces the file size of your combined projects by about 80% if you save disc images (virtual DVDs), or if you save the physical DVDs, you save 100% of the space.
I'd decide about the tradeoffs before jumping into action.

There are a couple of options for displaying to users of IE8 and below: you can display the down-level stage (which, by definition, displays to browsers that do not support Animate content), or you can turn on the Google Chrome Frame, which is available in the Web section in the Publish Settings dialog.

VPN hub and spoke topology, hub using two interfaces

I'm facing a problem with Cisco ASA 5500 running software 8.4.
I know, i know, VPN hub and spoke was already discussed many times. But all these discussions are about a hub using only one interface, the outside/public interfcae.
My topology is slightly different.
LAN-A - VPN peer A <--> (Internet) <--> (outside if)-ASA-B-(inside if) <--> (corporate network) <--> (outside if)-ASA-C-(inside if) <--> LAN-C
VPN communication should flow between LAN-A and LAN-C.
Phase I and phase II are working on both tunnels (A-B, B-C). Therefore cryptomaps should be right.
IPsec SA for tunnel A-B is explicit for LAN-A and LAN-C.
IPsec SA for tunnel B-C connects any with LAN-C.
What I can see on ASA-B is incoming traffic from LAN-A on tunnel A-B.
That does not trigger an SA for tunnel B-C!
Traffic initiated from LAN-C, I can see on ASA-B as incoming traffic, SA for LAN-A to LAN-C is build up on tunnel B-C.
Traffic seems to enter tunnel A-B as I can see outgoing traffic on ASA-B.
Of course, NAT exemption is configured for traffic between LAN-A and LAN-C.
Why doesn't incoming traffic from LAN-A initiate SA on tunnel B-C?
It looks like incoming traffic from LAN-A enters ASA-B and is dropped or send anywhere but the right direction.
I admit I'm clueless.
Any help would be appreciated.

Analyzing the config files you revealed the inactiv NAT exemption for traffic flow between LAN-A and LAN-C.
Furthermore a static route fro LAN-C out the inside interface was missing.
Fixing both communication works fine.

AD & DNS setting for Hub and spoke network

We have multiple sites connectd through VPN (Hub and spoke network). Following is the site information
Head Office (DC) ----- contoso.com ------ 192.168.100.2
Site1 (ADC) ----- site1.contoso.com ------192.168.101.2
Site2(RODC)----contoso.com ------192.168.102.2
Site3(ADC)-----contoso.com ------- 192.168.103.2
site4(ADC)-----site4.contoso.com-----192.168.104.2
site5(ADC)-----contoso.com -------192.168.105.2
i am trying to ping DC (contoso.com) from site4 & site site1 sometimes it's getting reply from site5 and site3 not from HO.
How can i configure all request go to HO (192.168.100.2).
for any other information please ask me.

Hello,
do you ping the domain name or the DC name? If domain name, what you see is normal, a DC will be chosen via DNS round robin and NOT a DC in that site.

ASA Hub-and-spoke VPN dhcp-relay

Have anyone implemented a solution with a hub-and-spoke IPSEC VPN (running ASA) with dhcp relay for the inside clients on the spoke. With the DHCP server on the hub site?
Normal LAN-LAN IPSEC VPN is a bit cumbersome to configure something like below:

Thanks. That's what I thought. I'm trying to configure this a my lab and having trouble though. Here's what I am trying to accomplish: HUB should communication with spoke1 and spoke2 via ipsec vpn using their own internal addresses HUB: 192.100.10.0/24, SPOKE1 10.142.0.0/24, SPOKE2 10.25.0.0/24) Communication between SPOKE1 and SPOKE2 should be nat'ed by the HUB so SPOKE2's addresses appear to be 172.16.128.0/24. SPOKE1's interesting traffic rule will allow the entire 172.16.128.0 255.255.128.0 subnet. Any new SPOKE's will use another subnet of that network. In my head I think I might need to let SPOKE2 NAT it's own traffic before it gets to HUB, but I'm dealing with multiple different devices as spokes so I want to handle everything on the HUB. Ideally the HUB would translate all traffic in both directions so both business partners and clients would only need one supernet in their interesting traffic rules.

When it comes to creating a site to site VPN on Cisco IOS, I have a clear understanding of that from a 1-1 perspective4. However, I now need to extend that site to site VPN to have now more like a hub and spoke, 1 to many.
So basically for a 1 to 1 site mapping I would do something like below. I would appreciate some suggestions on how to extend this or redesign it to suit. Thanks

While you cannot add more than one crypto map to the interface, you can add numbers at the end of the map.

Select 'Reset Safari' from the Safari menu.
Close down Safari; move <home>/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db to the trash; restart Safari.

As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. You appear to have two issues: 1) a hard drive that is not working properly and 2) files you wish to recover.
Re 1) you need to answer Kappy's questions.
Re 2) does the drive load and can you see your photo files? If so can you copy them to another drive?
Do you not have a backup of the photo files?

SQL Server 2012 - Wat Is The Best Solution For Creating a Read Only Replicated/AlwaysOn Database

Hi there I was wondering if someone may have a best recommendation for the following requirement I have with regards setting up a third database server for reporting?
Current Setup
SQL Server 2012 Enterprise setup at two sites (Site A & Site B).
Configured to use AlwaysOn Availability groups for HA and DR.
Installed on Windows 2012 Servers.
This is all working and failover works fine and no issues. So…
Requirement
A third server needs to be added for the purpose of reporting, to be located on another site (Site C) possibly in another domain. This server needs to have a replicated read only copy of the live database from site A or Site B, whichever is in use. The Site
C reporting database should be as up-to-date to the Site A or Site B database as possible – preferably within a few seconds anyway….
Solution - What I believe are available to me
I believe I can use AlwaysOn and create a ReadOnly replica for the Site C. If so do I assume Site C needs to have the Enterprise version of SQL server i.e. to match Site A & Site B?
Using log shipping which if I am correct means the Site C does not need to be an Enterprise version.
Any help on the best solution for this would be greatly appreciated.

for always on - all nodes should be part of one windows cluster..if there site C is on different domain - I do not think it works.
Logshipping works --as long as the sql on site C is is same or higher version(sql 2012 or above). you can only do read only.
IMHo, if you can make site C in the same domain then, Always is better solution else log shipping
also, if your database has enterprise level features such as - partitonin, data compression -- you cannot restore the database on lower editions- so you need to have enterprise edition.

then it's fine to perform a system restore, but it will revert some changes you have made on your system.

Most error messages relating to missing .dll files are due to virus scanners. The scanner removes the threat (the .dll file) but leaves the program behind that tries to invoke the .dll file. Your recipe of using System Restore to fix the problem could well
backfire: It might restore the infected .dll file! This is why it is important to know the full wording of the error message. If the missing file resided in the System32 folder then it's probably OK to restore it. If it resided elsewhere then restoration would
probably be a bad idea.
