The 'Bidder/Bid' tab in Bid Invitation

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how to add a custom button on the 'Bidder/Bid' tab in Bid Invitation?
I have to display something like the "Info" message when the user select the position from the bidder list.
I know the method how to add the custom fields via INCL_EEW* but all these fields and buttons are appeared on the 'Basic data' tab.But I need another tab for it.

Hi,
You can use the badi "BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI" to chnage the value for the long text "Tendering text".
In the EXPORT table ET_LONGTEXT,just pass the text ID deatils and the new content for this text.
The text ID for the longtext "Tendering text" is "HTXT"(for header level) and ITXT(for item level).

Stoping notification: A new Bid for a Bid Invitation has been Received, once a response is submitted

Dear SRM experts,
I need your help in stopping one notification completely.
Once a Rfx response is submitted by bidde against a Rfxr, automatically system is sending a below notification to purchaser:
A new Bid for a Bid Invitation has been Received
But as per the bid secracy we dont want this notig=fication to be triggere by the system. We need to stop is completly.
Notification also contain a link to response. We have also made some validations on response and awards button of Rfx. But because of this link, those validation are bypassed.
Can anyone please let me know how to stop these notification for trigerring?

Hi Jinesh,
If you want to stop the BID email notification completely, you can do that by deleting the entry in the configuration setting "Define Recipient of the notification"
SPRO--> SAP SRM--> SRM Server --> C.A.B.S-->Business Workflow--> Process Controlled Workflow-->Business Process Configuration --" Define Recipient of the Notification"

this is because for transaction type concerned (linked to transaction category BUS2202 - Supplier Quote), an event schema is customized (IMG: SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Cross-Application Basic Settings > Define Transaction Types)
This event schema (IMG: SAP Implementation Guide > SAP Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Cross-Application Basic Settings > Event and Event Schema for Alert Management > Define Event Schema) has the event SUBMITTED.
If you do not want any longer this event to be triggered, create a new specific event schema (based on the standard one), but without this event.
Then, assign this new schema to the concerned transaction type instead of the standard one.
For notification (event category "Message"), mail layout is managed in standard by smartforms BBP_OUT_EXCEPTION.

Hiding Event Charts within Bidding Tab of an Auction

Hi Guys,
I need help on a particular requirement. This query is related to Auctions within E-Sourcing. The client wants us to hide the 'Event Chart' sub window within the bidding tab of an auction. I tried to resolving this through Page Customization, but I am unable to identify the UI id I need to modify. Is this possible through scripting ? It would be great if someone could throw some light on this requirement. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The desired behavior could be implemented easily with UIElementContainer-s on "main" view. The only thing you need is to bind visibility of containers to context and switch it accordingly.
For view set you have to place empty view for cell with output and make it default. Next, create plugs and link for "Input->Output" and fire plug from input view when necessary

Hi Surya
Bidding engine is the component in SAP SRM that we use to conduct RFx adn Live Auctions.
You can do RFx and Auctions both in SAP SRM and SAP E-Sourcing.
Inside SRM RFx is also called Bid Invitation.
In SAP E-Sourcing its called RFx (x could be I=Information, P=Proposal, Q=Quotation)
Bidding engine is the engine that powers sourcing.

Is it possible to change the status from Bid Rejected to Bid submitted?

Hi there.
We are working in SRM 4.0.
One user rejected a bid, but it was a mistake. Is it possible to change the status from Bid Rejected to Bid submitted?
We would like to modify the status from Bid Rejected to Bid submitted or Awaiting Approval to Bid submitted in order to solve errors.

We are implementing SRM 5.5, SUS, cFolder, and LAC.
Scenario : In the case of Bidding, Vendor will submit 1pack bid and 2pack bid. If vendor submitted 2pack bid, We want evaluate Techno-commercial bid, If he qualifies then we will accept him to Price bid, In Live Auction or In the Bidding Engine. If the vendor not qualified we have to send me a letter.
Question : 1. How to evaluate weather is it 1Pack bid and 2 Pack bid?.
                   2. How to evaluate 2 pack bid Techno-commercial?.
                   3. How to send a letter to rejected vendors?.

I appreciate that you are implementing SRM 5.5, SUS, cFolder, and LAC.
You are implementing the Sourcing scenario.
Instead of implementing in SRM 5.5 better go for SRM 7.0 with Procurement for public sector (PPS) fucntionality
The following advantages are the.
1. 1 pack bid (single Cover system)
2. 2 pack bid (Double cover system)
is a standard functionality in SRM 7.0 /pps in addition you can enter the Tender Fees,EMD Fees ,
also. While creating the bid itself you can select 1 pack bid (or) two pack bid
Question : 1. How to evaluate weather is it 1Pack bid and 2 Pack bid?.
if it is 1 pack bid you have to enter the opening date and time only once where the technical bid and price bid will be there.
if it is 2 pack bid the technical bid opening date and time is say 11.08.2009 the price bid opening date 25.08.2009 can be set and the bids are published
2. How to evaluate 2 pack bid Techno-commercial?.
There is a comparison button in SRM 5.5 and in SRM 7.0 also the same functionality.Out of the bids that wer submitted it will choose the least.. but for practical purpose each client has to decide on other factors .so better price comparison should be done manually even though system propose the least price
3. How to send a letter to rejected vendors?.
you have sent a mail or letter out of SAP .(or) most probably during the bid itself all the bidders will be participating there you can announce and sent the mail perosonally (or) Z program can be written
In SRM 5.5 you have to do some developments for the 2 pack system
IT IS STANDARD IN SRM 7.0 WITH PPS AND IT IS AVAILABLE IN THE MARKET..
Better convince the client to go for SRM 7.0 which is released in APRIL 2009 ..
SRM 7.0 is supported by WEBDYNPRO BASED and WORKFLOW for approval is new called
BUSINESS RULE FRAMEWORK (BRF)

How the bidder can see the invitation to auction?

Hi Experts,
I am bit new to SAP SRM. I have created an auction for an item and added two bidders for the auction.
I have published the auction.
Now, I have logged on to the system as one of the bidder. How I can see the invitation to auction?
Could you please help me? I had selected the mail communication for the bidders in the auction.

Pls, help. How the bidder licenses are considered?

Hi,
I'd like to know if someone have experience or documentation about how the bidder licenses are counted in SRM.
I mean in one customer are worried about they want to invite a lot of vendors to participate in several bid invitations, they argue that they are going to work with the winners, offering other services but they would prefer don't consume a license in bidder they aren't going to work with. So they would prefer lock them.
Would this bidders be counted in the number of licenses?
Someone know where I can get information about this matter. I know that finally they have to speak with the account manager but I suppose that what kind of licenses and how we can distinguish them should be accesible for us.

Please go through this ->
Bidding Engine comprises normal bidding and live auction. They are a part of SRM and you don't require separate license for that. In term of licences, Bidding Engine is priced separately as an engine.
But in term of solution, it is already there & available in the system:
- one transaction for the purchaser
- one transaction for the supplie
- Live Auction Java part
There is nothing special related to licence to be activated in SRM to use Bidding Engine.

The bidder has no authorization to create responses

Hi,my experts:
The purchaser create RFx in SRM7.0 ,and publish it . The Bidder find the bid ,and click the button"Create bid".The system dispalys"You have no authorization to create responses".I give the role"SAP_BBP_STAL_BIDDER" to this bidder .

The bidder cannot change/edit the response

hi experts:
   we use SRM7.0 with standalone scenario.
   the bidder create a response for a RFx. before the deadline , the bidder change the price is permitted in our company .
   thequestion is :
     in SRM, the bidder can withdraw the response , and there is a button' Re-submit' , but there is no button"Edit" , why? and what shoud i do to make the bidders can change the response.

In your RFx header, you'd have to check the box "RFx Respondent Can Change RFx Responses" in order for a submitted bid to be changed by the bidder without the buyer initiating it ("return" the bid).

Contact Person of the Bidder

Hi Friends ,
We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario.
I'm testing the RFx scenarion ...but currently Mail serever (SMTP) is not configured ...so can not test end-to-end scenarion..like actual...so set the checkbox 'Permit Surrogate Bidding" in BP master of Bidder
1) Can anyone please confirm me, whether "Contact Person" of the Bidder is ALWAYS REQUIERED for submitting the RFx Response by Bidder ? Just Bidder can not submit the RFx Response ...(What my thought is ...its req only in case of Surrogate Bidding ?)
2) Without Surrogate Bidding , can I submit the RFx Response by login as a Bidder (or Bidders Contact Person..SU01 id is created when Contact person created....) ...in the Bidding Engine and access the published bid ?....I tried the below URL from the RFx Notification..but once click on the URL, system gives error "Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible." ....

PO can be created with reference to a bid (Response of a Bid Invitation). Even contracts is also possible here.
Then ragarding can a contract be created with ref to po -> No.....
