The Big Screen

Premiere Pro v7 is what im running. So this is a first for me. I created a :30 spot for a local movie Theater. It's all just still pictures and text. When they show the spot up on the big screen all the pics are pixulated and jumpy. Is there a way to fix this? Do I need to resize all my pics to larger than life size in Photoshop first instead of making them smaller like I normally do? Thanks for the Help.

What are your project settings and your export settings?
What is the original size of the stills and what are they? jpegs or ...
This big screen is I assume standard definition?

Thank you for the answer, I suppose the main thrust of my enquiry is to find out if 65 MBits is my ATV theoretical limit of reception.  If that is the case then I am happy as a Pig in Mud
I may have allowed myself to become a victim by listening to Fanbois posting elsewhere who always seem to go one better than everyone else. Now I have learnt two things Today; 65Mbit/s = Good enough and only read the apple forums.
    Many Thanks

I do something like that, and can confirm 20 feet won't be a problem. More than 30 or so might be.

  • Hello, I was going to have my presentation on my macbook air. But when I putted it up on the big screen it wasn't a normal presentation. There was two pages at the time and a timer came up. How can I fix this as fast as posible? Thank's in advance.

Your MacBook is using the big screen as the Presenter Display, and the MacBook Air display as the Show display. Tap the 'x' key to swap them during the show.
Here is more information about using the Presenter Display.

  • How can I watch movie on the big screen TV, rented on the PC , using AppleTV

AppleTV is great in viewing A/V files from the PC hard drive. But rental movie from iTunes doesn't seem to load on the HD and therefore I cannot see it on the big screen. Any idea would help. Would it work under MacOS? I use iMac.

Is this AppleTV 1 or AppleTV 2?
If ATV1 (silver) you would need to 'move' the rnetal to the AppleTV using iTunes.
If ATV2 (black) it would appear under Computers > Your iTunes Library Name >Rentals.

  • I am stuck in the big screen and cannot get out.

I hover the mouse at the top but the menu will not appear. The only way to solve this is turn off the computer. Surely there is a better way. What am I doing wrong?

I hover the mouse at the top
    The top of what?
but the menu will not appear
    What menu?
The only way to solve this is turn off the computer
Solve what? What iMac do you have have? What operating system?
What EXACTLY is the problem you are having?

Are you simply trying to reduce the size of the window? Justy click the green button.

  • Final Cut Studio 2 and Panasonic HMC150 on the Big Screen?

I'm in the process of funding a film student who requires a system that will let him produce shorts that potentially could end up on a small theater screen.
My question is, would the Panasonic HMC150 AVCCAM (AVCHD) and FC Studio2 help him create a product that could be visually pleasing on a large screen? We are considering a new MacPro 8 core 2.26, 8GB, ATI card and three HDs.
My only real experience with this was back at the dawn of NLE (mid-90s). He has been working with a Sony 3CCD cam and an SR12 in Windows Vista.

I've been wondering about how motion comes across on the HCM150. I was a bit concerned about that with the SR12 and understand that AVCHD as a format may have a problem with keeping up with fast action and panning. Was hoping that issue didn't extend to the more refined AVCHD cams.

  • Can Facetime for ipad 2 be useable on the big screen?

Can the facetime app on  the ipad 2 be viewable on a big hd tv with the use of a digital av adapter?

The Digital AV Adapter supports video mirroring on the iPad 2 so the FaceTime output should display on the TV as long as your TV has HDMI In. I do not own the adapter so I have not tried this.

  • Imovie HD acting weird; won't show finished movie in the big screen

My Imovie HD has started acting totally weird. First off, it wouldn't show finished movie projects in the large viewing screen. Then there were clips that no longer showed up. Sometimes I can hear the sound of a clip, but not see it. I tried compressing a project in quicktime to publish it on the Web and I got an error. Then the imovie started acting weird. Now when I open it, it just closes on its own.
I've run disk utility and no problems were found. I also tried Tech Tool. And I couldn't find the plist file for imovie at all to delete it. I've also emptied the cache files. HELP!

There is probably an app. malfunction. You should have a certified Apple salesman look at it. Other than that, i am not sure what to do.

  • HD on the big screen

Does anyone have any experience with showing a HD film in the theatre? My project is compressed at DVCPro 720p60, 960x720. We did a test screening from a regular DVD, and it looks a bit fuzzy. Apparently I can hook anything I need to up to the theatre projector, so I'm thinking of hooking up my computer. If I export a HD mpeg, would I be able to play it back from the computer? Like with Cinema Desktop preview?

Does anyone have any experience with showing a HD film in the theatre?
Yes. Projected from FCP to a Christie 2K projector onto a 20' screen. DVCPRO HD 720p 24. Looked GREAT.
We did a test screening from a regular DVD, and it looks a bit fuzzy.
Well, that isn't HD. A regular DVD is standard def...and a highly compressed version of SD.
If I export a HD mpeg, would I be able to play it back from the computer?
Why not play back DVCPRO HD? But, how would you connect your computer to the projector? Digital Cinema Preview is a low res proxie output, so I wouldn't go that route. Output to DVCPRO HD tape and rent a deck to play on the projector.

  • Why can't I just view the images on my iPhone on the big screen of my Mac mini?

I just took many images at a family get together. I am home now and want to view them to edit out the bad ones and maybe import some to share.
Why can't I view these images in OSX Mountain Lion?

    Thank you, Illaass.
Xee is working now. Even though I bought it in the App Store, it is in demo mode and asks for a key, which wasn't given upon purchase.
Kinda good. It didn't cost much.
Air Play mirror would be great, except for the Apple exclusivity of Apple TV. And, of course, $100!
    Thanks

  • How did Steve Jobs project his iPad onto the big screen?

Steve did it. Why can't we? I understand that Apple's Component AV cable will only play video files on my TV from my iPad, but I would like to demonstrate all the iPad's features to an audience like Jobs did. Any clues, anybody? Thanks.

Mr. Holton is correct: Steve Jobs has specially modified units when he does a presentation on an iPhone or iPad. At this time the only way to project the iPad's interface and most applications would be to use something like a document camera.
