The "Birth Year" field in Birthday

I don't know about you guys, but who over 30 gives out their birth year? I have hundreds of birthdays but l only know the birth year for those of my immediate family. Why the heck is this a required field? Is is possible to turn it off? What do you do if it's not? I've taken to setting birth years I don't know to 1000. At least that way I won't get confused.
Still a dumb field to require.

My point is that it should allow you to enter a day and month without a year. Most people don't provide birth year unless you ask them directly and, quite frankly, that's rude. There should be a provision for entering a birthday without a year, after all, you are tracking the day 99% of the time, not the year.
I realize that there is probably some standardized format responsible for this, but there needs to be "no year give" code so one is not required just to enter a birthday.

I agree that we will get the difference of years, months and days with IT0041. There is another option also available from PCR to get the difference between 2 dates. But, we need the birth year only here to serve the following requirement...
Irrespective of the month and day, if employee is born in 1980, He should get 20 days of quota in the year 2013.
1981 - 2014
1982 - 2015
and so on
So, here neither months, nor days are going to help. We need to query the birth year..so that we will do BCURYR-XXXXX(Birth year) and if it is 33 years..He will get 20 days -
this is for example.

Either set a repeating date on the event (repeat every 1 year) or set the birthday field in your contacts on iOS & OS X, then enable the birthday calendar in the settings. I have no idea how to do this on Windows, so you will need to provide more info about what you are using if you are really on Windows.
We'll get this moved somewhere more appropriate if you say what device & OS you are using.

How do I create a new calendar for the current year, using last years calendar's birthday's/photos and comments from the lower pages?

Each year for the past 5 years I make a family calendar and send copies to all he family members around the globe. I hate that I have to recreate all the birthdays and special occasions from scratch, and re-drag all the photos onto these dates, in the lower half of the page of each month on the new calendar. How can I create a new calendar for the current year and port all of these photos/comments into the new calendar from last years calendar, to save having to redo all this work!! I am not talking about the upper half page of the photos only...I am referring to the calendar page of each month.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Open iWeb so you see your original site in the left hand pane. Use the File->New Site menu option to create a new site. Give it the name you want.
Now select a page in your original site and type Command+D. That will duplicate the page. Drag the duplicate page down to the new site and rename it as needed. Do that for the other pages you need in the original site.

Please expose the employee ID field in ADUC in this version, also add a field for data of birth, and present both on the change password form so we can validate a user's identify when they ring up for a reset.

Considering Active Directory is supposed to be all about business, corporations and enterprises, I find it staggering that in 2015 the ADUC console STILL does not expose the Employee ID field in the default UI without having to dig into the attribute editor.
And then only if you browse to the user in their OU, the Attribute Editor tab is missing when you just search for the user. This isn't really helping our organisation. I've just setup the tech preview version of the new server version, and that doesn't expose
it either.
I'm not sure how other organisations handle this (suggestions please?), but when a user rings up the service desk for a password reset, we either have to keep them on the phone while we dig into their user account and look for the Employee ID for them to
then confirm on the phone, or just take it on blind faith that they are who they say there are.
Please for the love of all deities, can you expose the Employee ID field on the main user panel without having to dig into attribute editor. It would also be useful to show this information directly on the reset password dialog box so there's no looking
up required. While you're at it, please can you add a date of birth field (if it isn't already there, I never seen one), and expose this on the main screen for the user, as well as the reset password box. This would give us two pieces of information to verify
the identity of the user on the phone.
All that being said, if anybody has a better way of identifying users on the other end of the phone, I'm all ears.

Year field showing the future on Mac

The year field on a track is showing up as "2018" on my mac and "2009" on my PC when I download the same track. Any ideas why this may be happening?

Same here. I decided to re-download all the Itunes U material I had before under podcasts (deleted from podcast section, the re-downloaded with get-all or subscribe depending on courses)
While the file is downloading, the track show a proper release date (say Nov 3, 2007)
Once it is downloaded, all tracks show a future date of June 24, 2018

If you had a field DateTimeField1 and wanted to display the following year in DateTimeField2, you could do the following in JavaScript;
var d1 = util.scand("yyyy-mm-dd", DateTimeField1.rawValue);
if (d1 !== null)

DateTimeField2.rawValue = util.printd("yyyy-mm-dd", d1);

She can use an iPod. She just can't have her own account in the iTunes Store. The restriction is on using the iTunes Store, not on using apps or playing content purchased from it. You just need to set up an iTunes Store account and buy items for her rather than having her do it on her own.

click and hold on one cell, then drag to select the range, then release, then type the delete key. Only inlude cells in the range you do not want to keey the contents of the cell. You can remove one-off cells by holding the command key and clicking cells to add or remove as needed.

Did you try to close and restart Firefox?
If that doesn't help then try to reset the services.sync prefs that show user set (bold) on the <b>about:config</b> page via the right-click context menu to the default value.

Display of Birth Year in Address Book

I keep most of my contacts in Gmail and I keep each contact's birthday, without the year. So instead of September 1, 1980 - I just have it display as September 1.
I recently imported all these contacts into Address Book using vCards - address book then placed the year 1970 for every contact.
I have tried to go in and remove the year, but it keeps auto populating 1970.
Does anyone know how to remove the year entirely from the birthday field in address book?

How can I alter a calendar script to place progressive dates on every day in the calendar year?

Is there an easy way either to alter the calendar script or create something that will allow for variable text in each day of the year?
I am creating a calendar for a cattle rancher, and he wants to include a gestation calendar in the design.
So...instead of the Julian date on every caledar day, he would like to include the date that a calf will be born if the cow had been bred on a particular day. For example: On the calendar date, January 1, in that box, another smaller date will appear - 10/9, On January 2 - 10/10 and so on. But, I need this progression to continue throughout the whole year.
I have attempted to manually enter each date in a separate table and super impose it over the calendar, but this is very slow and very tedious. There has to be a faster way.
I am comfortable looking at code and can often times figure out which fields to change, but I am a bit lost on this one. Where do I start?

That helped, but still did not solve the "continous scroll" question.
I did however discover that if you go to Search and type in a "common" letter like "s", a Continuous List view will appear.
Any further help on how to do this as a default view would be appreciated from any and all.
