  • What is the black spot on my screen I try to use the camera that faces me?

When i tried to use my camera on my iPod touch, a small black circle appears in the middle of the screen. It only happens when I use the camera that faces me, not the one on the back. I cleaned the screen thinking there was something on the lense but it is still there. I've only had it 3 days!

Unless you have a black circle on your nose, there is a problem with your iPod.
Try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If that doesn't work, call Apple.  After all, the unit is brand new.  800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and, I think, Canada.

  • Black spots with RemoteApps using the Microsoft Remote Desktop on a mac

Hi, I'm dealing with a very strange problem with black spots while using a remoteapp. See the picture for the black spots. It's only happening when I use the MS Remote Desktop App on a mac (version 8.0.12, latest version of the appstore).
The RDS enviroment that we're using is Server 2012 R2 based with all the RD roles installed on several servers. Has someone any idea where to look? I've tried several things, LAN experience on the RD Web access disabled, new user without roaming profile,
nothing works. Sorry for the big picture...

  • Black spot on centre of the screen

I am getting a Black spot on the centre of the screen after every call continuosly on my Blackberry 9320 handset.( Purchased in Aug 2013 )
The black spot remains for about 3 minutes, sometimes a little more times and disappears after I presss the power
button. This is happening since a long time
    Kindly help

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

  • Black spot on the screen

I am wondering what the black spot on my son's ipod touch is? Is this a leaking screen? If so, can it be repaired?

I can't visulize the problem you are taking about.. There is noting to "leak out" of a the screen.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
    Replace/Exchange
If not covered by warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

  • Black spot on my iPhone 3Gs Camera

Even though outer hardware looks completely damage less, the Camera is showing small black spot and it's also showing up on the picture i take with it.
It just simply dosen't go away,
I been to everywhere and they all come with same answer; "go to apple"
I wondering if apple will exchange this right away with out a hassle.
Anyone had same problem? what do you do about it?

I´ve noticed the same think as you. On my camscreen I´ve got a crocked line.
Didn´t have that black line before, so I´ve thought it was a minor bump that caused this to happend.
So... hmm... If a bump on the cam side of the phone could cause this, a new
bump on the same side would fix it again?
Down to business: smack! right on my knee twice, and look: the black spot in
the cam app is now gone!
Think I should go to the store and let them have a look at it.
But wait for weeks for a replaced/fixed one? Don´t think so.
So if you dare: Try slapp your baby once or twice on the lense side corner.
    Worked for me!

  • Black spot on "Camera" taking photos, not videos

Hello everybody. I hope that you can help me. Today I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS6 and now I have a black spot up and left side of the camera. First I thought that it was something stuck to the lens, but it wasn't and when i set up the camera to use it to take a video the black spot doesn't appeirs. I've turned off the Camera app, the iPhone, I've tryed to change the options, puting in landscape mode, everything... and nothing happens. Also, when I use another app that uses the camera... it doesn't show the black spot.
Is a problem with iOS6?. Does someone know how to fix it?... Somebody has the same problem?... anything that can help me .
    Thanks!

(and by the way, of course the iPhone didn't received any punch)

  • Black spot on camera?

This just started happening today.. I have a black spot on the upper right portion of my rear camera..it only shows when I'm trying to use the camera. The outer glass or plastic over the camera is clean. I don't see any dirt or scratches or anything. When I zoom to a certain point, the black spot goes away, zoom back out and it comes back...
is my inner lens screwed up or dirty? It honestly hasn't been dropped or put anywhere near water.
    help?

    Hi mommylo89,
    Welcome to the forum!
We need to check if this is caused by the software or hardware of the phone. First, May we know what is the model of the device? Have you tried restarting the phone or performing a reset? Performing a reset will refresh the system of the phone. If it's still the same after that, possible that it is a hardware issue and that you need to send it for check up at the Nokia Care Point.

  • How do I eliminate the black blotches associated with version sets.

I have just had to reload Elements 6.  Now I find that a lot of my people images carry version sets and show large black blotches usualy around the eye area.  Could someone tell me how to avoid and eliminate them. It can be achoieved by deleting some of the sets but I would like to know why theu have suddenlt apperaer after a reload and how to avoid the in the future.
    thanks

Go back and check the preferences again. It may be (not sure) that you need to turn it off in the downloader first, then in the main preferences, but it should be sticky once you get it all disabled.
On newly imported photos, you can fix things by just selecting the whole batch then going to Edit>Version set>Revert to original to get rid of the version with the black spots.

  • N9 - Black spots on display

    Hi,
Just bough myself N9 and i just love it. One thing i noticed thouhg, that bothers me a bit, are the black areas or spots visible on dark grey backgrounds. If you start the camera on a dark room, you will notice the black spots. Is this a common issue on N9? Should i ask for a replacemet device?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Experiencing with the same issue. I have black lines on the dark grey display when phone is switching on, camera on, multitasking view (no or one/two applications on), dashboard view when empty.
I have contacted Nokia Hungary to figure the issue out. It seems to be unbelievable why such a small display like 3.9 cannot be homogeneous!
Image just found on internet but the problem fairly similar (hard to be taken by camera).
    Keep you posted

It also has yellow, purple, blue and green around the black spot and when I have a black wallpaper on the phone, it's a glowing green In the middle. will apple do something about this?! • Black Spots before still photos in movie

Hey There, I'm new to iMovie and seem to be getting a black spot after a transition and just before a still photo. I don't know what it is or how to remove it? Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something I need to change with the transition or the photo? I hope someone can help

    Take a look at iPhoto.
It has more features for image formats and works well with iDVD.
Your original image files will be reduced in dimensions to fit the TV "safe viewing" area (about 640X480).
To get the iPhoto slideshow "movie" onto your iPad you will export it to QuickTime format and select the iPad preset and then add it to your iTunes Library.

  • Movies to apple tv with out the black spaces.

i just got mu apple tv and download a movie from itunes.
when i oplay it in apple tv it apears in all the screen, no black spaces in ani of the sides.
i have an original movie (widescreen) that i want to load to my apple tv but after using a comercial software to tranfer my dvd to apple tv it shows the black spaces in all four sides, can any one tell me how to do this tranfer so i dont get this black spaces, si there a software that can do this in a simple way.
    thanks for your help
      Windows XP

i have an original movie (widescreen) that i want to load to my apple tv but after using a comercial software to tranfer my dvd to apple tv it shows the black spaces in all four sidesBasically, there is widescreen" and there is "w i d e s c r e e n." If the original video does not have a 16:9 (1.78:1) aspect ratio (e.g, 1.33:1, 1.85:1, 2.35:1, 2.40:1, etc.) but is played on a 16:9 widescreen TV, then there will be some "black spaces" on your screen when watching in the "normal" viewing mode. If your TV is equipped with user selectable aspect ratios, then you can modify your playback to fill or overfill your screen as you see fit. However, then your picture may appear distorted. If your TV does not include this feature, then you can manually convert your files unconditionally to a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and it will fill the screen (and be distorted as stated above.) If you file has "black spaces" on all four sides, the you are using an incorrect conversion setting. In this case you are probably preserving the original aspect ratio but encoding file to a 4:3 display area which is playing back as a "letterboxed" SD 4:3 movie on your widescreen. In this instance, correct your conversion settings.
