The bluetooth on my Mac will not connect to my iPhone 6.

I am trying to connect my phone to my mac so I can use airdrop. The Mac will not connect to the phone. I checked my System Information and the Bluetooth on my Mac is LMD 0X4. I believe the problem is that it needs to be LMD 0X6. How do I upgrade?

You do not need to connect/pair the devices to use Airdrop. All you need to do is have Bluetooth on and on the same Wi-Fi network. I loaded a linux iso on a usb. Loaded it on a reboot. It may have been corrupted or something, because it did not load correctly. I rebooted the computer again and now the bluetooth keyboard and mouse will not connect. How can I fix this?

Your iphone is right, it is not supported. The iphone's bluetooth protocols do not include file transfer, but are intendes only for headsets, stereo headphones, cars, and keyboards.

I just created a new profile/user on my MacBook Pro. My pointer/mouse. It works fine in my older user profile, but when I go to the new profile my mac will not respond to clicks. Mouse moves but will not click. Already tried restarting and the pram zap.

I get to the login screen and my laptop stops responding to clicks. When I manage to make my way back to my main profile the mouse works perfectly. Should I just delete the new profile and try again?

If the modem is also a router, either use the modem in bridge and run pppoe client on the TC.. that is assuming ADSL or similar eg vdsl. If it is cable service.. and the modem is a router, then bridge the TC.. go to internet page and select connect by ethernet and below that set connection sharing to bridge.
Please tell us more about the modem if the above gives you issues.

Try rebooting the router. Just pull the power for a few seconds. No settings are lost.

Try a reset on both devices. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

Mac will not connect to internet

Hello I have two macs that will not connect to my time capsule's internet. I know it is not the TC because I have a pc that is right next to it with the same settings as the mac and can connect to the internet. I wonder what the issue is.

Go to the System Preferences and Network and when the Box opens make sure that you are set to Automatic and below that the name of your Network is in there and finally in the box on the left that Wireless or Airport is selected and Drag it to the top of the list and the Green Dot is on the Wireless Network that is selected.
Then repeat it on both computers.

Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
Reset the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings)
Restore the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Restore)

DHCP disappeared and Mac will not connect to internet!

When my Macbook's config is switched to DHCP the Airport Express will not connect to the internet but when it is PPPOE it has not problem at connecting. I never had this problem before but now I am worried and want my DHCP back because it is interfering with other configurations.

My keynote remote will not connect from my iPhone 5s to my iMac after updating to iOS 8.1

I updated my iPhone 5s to iOS 8.1 earlier today and now my remote for Keynote will not connect with my iMac Keynote. I had a presentation tonight and it didn't work. I tried rebooting the phone and it still does not work. Any ideas? (I have Yosemite on my computer and it worked fine with iOS 8.02)

This question is posted regularly, the remedy is to unlink Keynote Remote in Mac Keynote:
Keynote > Preferences > Remote, then re-establish the link.

I have a Time Capsule as my router. I can connect wirelessly to the network and internet with my MBPr, but my Mac Mini will only connect to the network wired or wirelessly. Airport on it sees the internet as green, but will not connect.

I have the Time Capsule hooked to a wireless modem. It uses a static IP, which is put in and running. The MBPr connects, as well as my iPhone 5, to the internet and network without problem. I can see the Mac Mini, external drive attached to it, and the Time Capsule. The Mac Mini connects to the network wired or wirelessly, but not to the internet. On wireless, using AirPort the Internet shows green, but no connection when I open Safari. The settings under network settings are identical except for LAN IP between the Mac Mini and the MBPr. I was hoping someone might have an idea of what was going on. Before I moved the Time Capsule was on Bridge mode from another router, now it is on DHCP and NAT for the internal network.
