The body of the mail message is blank

The preview shows the first few lines of the message but when I open the message the body is blank. It does show the sender, receivers and subject line, but the body is blank. How do I fix this?

This is not a common problem - at least it doesn't come up very often here - so I wouldn't expect a "fix". You may have something corrupt on your phone that is causing it, and it may be stored in your data so updating your phone or restoring from your backup won't solve it. You could try restoring your phone as new, without using your backup, then setting up your email account and see if the problem stops occuring. If it does, this would confirm that there is something corrupt in your data.

In search of assistance learning how to modify the mail message from an out of the box SP2010 approval workflow.

So, I have found the article

However, there is a basic problem that I run into before I get started.
I am logged into the system as a regular user (ie not a farm admin, etc.).
I do, however, have full control on the site on which I am working.
I create a custom list.
I create a simple one step approval - sharepoint 2010 out of the box workflow.
I start SharePoint designer and give it the URL of the list. It opens up and I see the various objects on the left side of the screen.
I click right on the Workflows object - which is where the article says I will find the ability to copy and modify the workflow.
All I see is "open", "open in a new tab" and "Pin".
I selecdt open in a new tab - and I get a blank screen labeled workflows that says "There are no items to show in this view".
So, I click on Lists and Libraries, then on the name of my custom list.
When the list displays, the Workflows section of the page has a "Modified Workflow" displayed.
When I right click on it, no menu is shown. When I click on the modified workflow, I get the workflow settings page for that workflow.
I am trying to figure out how to create the copy of the workflow so that I can modify one of the mail messages in SharePoint designer.
Is there someone who has some advice on how to find this copy and modify option? Or perhaps a web site, web forum, article series, or book covering the topic?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to modify the OOB approval workflow in SharePoint Designer.
After opening the site in SharePoint Designer, just click Workflows in the left panel and then the workflows in the site will load in the right part.
If you want to copy and modify the OOB approval workflow, then you need to right the approval workflow
Approval – SharePoint 2010 under Globally Reusable Workflow. After that you will see the
Copy and Modify button.

Hi,
When sending mail outside the company (outside the domain), getting this error: Failed to send the mail message error code: -49
When sending mail internally (within the domain) successfully submitted.
I was looking for notes relating to the subject but could not find anything that helped me

Having problem deleting all but one particular mail from the iPhone 4S mail inbox. I can delete mail either by the trash can or using edit, selecting the mail message and deleting. However there is this one mail message that will not go away. Any ideas?

I get that every once in a while on my 3GS, and that's what I do to get rid of it. Probably not a bad idea to power down the phone every so often, anyway, gets rid of any crud waiting to cause a bug.

Yosemite Mail - What happned to the mail message numbers???

I just upgraded to Yosemite. I noticed in the mail pane that I can no longer customize mail to list numbers next to the mail messages. I like to know how many I have in my mailbox. Any workarounds?

To explain further, I right clicked on the message bar and these are the options I get for my messages. Notice there is not an option for "number"

IPhone4 - Mail cannot download the remaining content of the mail message

Hi, i recently owned a iPhone4. One problem i faced with iPhone4 Mail app is that when I tried to push the button to "Download remaining xx.x KB" in the mail message, it tried to download but failed all the time.
Is there any way to allow the remaining content of the mail message to be downloaded?

Is this a new mac and did GarageBand come preinstalled? Or did you migrate from a different Mac? There may be many reasons for this problem, check the possible causes:
Check, if GarageBand is installed in the "Applications" folder and named GarageBand. Otherwise you cannot update it.
Have you accepted a preinstalled GarageBand to your AppleID? Sign into to AppStore and check the Purchase Tab. Accept, if necessary.
GarageBand may already have downloaded the loops, but not indexed them. Then you could try to rebuild the Loop Index: Rebuilding the Loop Index in GarageBand
GarageBand may not be able to remember that it updated, because of corrupted preferences, then try HangTime's "oddball" problems fix and delete the preferences:

Remember, in Mt. Lion the user library is hidden; you open it best from the Finder's "Go" menu, from the main menu bar:
Go > Go to folder then hold down the alt/option key until the library appears in the drop down menu. Select it to open and remove the file Preferences/com.apple.garageband.plist
If all fails, try to reinstall GarageBand - move the application to the Trash and download it again from the AppStore.

What is the Mail Message List Font in Yosemite?

I just upgraded to Yosemite. Love the features and functions. Not crazy about the new fonts but oh well.
I was messing around with the mail fonts and changed the mail message list font (I think it was previously listed as "Default System Font Regular". What is that? Is it Helvetica Neue 12?

Hi, I had this same problem. I have a load of work subfolders and was showing the message header but no content. I think it lost the link to the original messages.
There may be a simpler way but I fixed it by going to the mail folders in finder. I took the following steps:
Go to user library (hold down the alt key whilst clicking the Go menu in finder to access user library)
Go to user/Library/Mail/V2/Mailboxes. You should be able to see your mailboxes and your original messages (ending .emlx) after clicking down the hierachy in each mailbox. For some reason mail added a "-2" onto the end of each mailbox which I think has caused the problem.
Copy each required mailbox (.mbox) onto desktop. I removed the "-2" at this stage to clean things up.
In Mail, choose File/Import Mailboxes....
Import data from: Apple Mail. Click continue, navigate to desktop and choose the relevant .mbox folders. Click Choose.
It should then import the mail to a new folder called import in mail. You can then rename that folder or move the subfolders out.
I moved the .mbox folders on my desktop to my documents folder as a backup just in case. I then deleted the problem mailboxes from the finders mailboxes folder.
Problem solved - for me anyway!!

Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Or...
Double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
Tap and hold any icon until it wiggles
Press the red to delete the Mail app
Press the home twice button when done.

How to hide the mail message size

Suddenly, when writing a new email message I have a new field that appeared - Message Size.
I have not found a way to hide this. Can it be hidden? Can the signature field be hidden too?

Is the option to change font sizes in the Mail message list broken?

I can change the font and font size in the messages themselves, but not in the column that lists the messages. Weird. A Google search didn't turn up any references to the problem. Using OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2 on a 2012 MacBook Air.

It sounds like iMessage may be activated with the wrong phone number. Let’s see if we can resolve this. First, go ahead and sign out of iMessage and FaceTime:

Sign out and back in to iMessage and FaceTime
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Go to Settings > FaceTime, tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Afterwards, turn iMessage and FaceTime off and restart your device:

Mail message is blank.

Even after the update 10.5.1 some mail messages send by a PC user are completely empty, I thought.
But when I look at the version there is a message. When I dig into the /library/mail/mailboxxes and then look for the messages folder and do a quicklook on the .emlx file the message is shown. Not empty at all. Does anyone have solution?

I don't have a specific reply, but the same sort of problem. E-mail messages sent from someone else with a G5 with Leopard 10.5.1, using a pop e-mail server, come up completely blank! But all my other messages from various other sources, including PCs from the same pop e-mail server are fine. The same person has also tried sending me a message from their machine with their .Mac account and I can see that e-mail just fine.
Also, ALL of my e-mails do not show me the header information. I have to run the mouse over the header area and click on the drop-down arrow that appears to view who has sent the e-mail, and to whom it was addressed!
Can anyone help me with this? I am currently at a loss of how to take care of this!

Mail Messages Suddenly Blank!

New messages display properly, but about 1 hour ago for no reason my older messages are just showing up as blank. It's almost as if it can't find where they are whats happened? When I double click the message just BLANK!!

This problem is most probably related to indexing messages and you can simply solve it by following these steps :
(1) Quit Mail if it's already open
(2) Copy your ~/Library/Mail folder to your desktop as a backup incase something goes wrong
(3) Trash or move to desktop that file ~/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
(4) Open Mail and you will be presented with a Mail Message Import message, click continue and let it do what it has to to
That would simply import and reindex all mail messages rebuilding the database, Envelope Index is a SQLite database that stores key information about your emails. Over time it can get corrupted in a way that wouldn't knock out your Mail application. Furthermore, that should speed you your Mail application and dramatically reduce your emails size. I hopt that will solve your issue
