The bottom row of my iphone is irresponsive, any suggestions on how to fix it?

my earpiece will not have any noise when i make calls i need to turn on the speaker to hear what the person is saying, how do i fix that?? and also the bottom row of buttons when i text and when im on the internet is irresponsive, but works on the home screen any suggestions on how to fix it?

If it was permanent marker, you probably can't. Lenses often have layers of film on their glass to reduce glare and distortion that would be damaged by any chemical that could remove marker. You can try very carefully cleaning the lens with denatured alcohol - don't use enough that it can drip or seep into the iPhone - but my guess is that the lens is permanently damaged. Apple cannot repair just the lens, but will replace the entire iPhone for either the AppleCare+ deductible, if you have that coverage, or their standard out-of-warranty replacement price. Also try settings>general>reset>reset all settings
If you have followed that article and restored your phone and set it up as new and you're still having that issue you may call and explain you followed the article and are still having the problem. Most likely they will either set up a replacement for you. If they ask you to set up the one time phone support agreement, and they assist you with a restore again, they won't bill you if they end up having to repair it.

I am currently having the same problem with music that is downloaded to my laptop and stored into itunes/itunes match which is not downloading to my ipad. I had this same problem a few months a go and it was fixed with a update to my ipad but it has happened again with most recent update. The bad thing is I didn't notice until I went to listen to the music on my ipad and it was available. Apple is becoming very unattractive to me. I am in search of a diffrent device.

Same problem here! Moreover, for some reason, the pictures in my iPhone 3GS somehow have been divided into 2 folders, Photos and Medialibrary. And when I open iPhone as a folder through the explorer I can see only the Photos folder, but cannot see the Medialibrary folder which stores the photos taken before updating/upgrading the iPhone and getting separated folders!!! What the hack with all of this?!!! When I connect iPhone to PC it automatically opens iTunes and starts syncronizing it, but at the process of OPTIMIZING the photos (and according to the number of photos it shows, I see that it tries to syncronize that invisible Medialibrary folder) the process suddenly stops and error message pops out Tried the sync test, tried the button DEBUG in that pop out message, but NOTHING HELPS!!! Also, when I open the Medialibrary in my iPhone, the screen get sblack all through scrolling it down, only the video clips are shown there... >.<

If you have this problem (facetime dropping calls). Just go to settings, then general, and scroll it down to reset. Once on the reset, tap on reset all settings, it will ask your code. After you do this close out your iphone by pressing the main button on top of your iphone. I tried everything and this procedure works with me. Let me know if it works with you all.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

There is a micro switch inside the socket to switch between the optical output (digtal), headphones and internal speakers. It sometimes gets stuck.
Push the headphone plug into the socket numereous times and see if it frees the switch. Please do not push other foreigh objects into the socket as you may break the switch and/or the electrical contacts.

iMessage and FaceTime went down yesterday for some people. Mine is still down. My iMessage is saying the same thing about being activated. Sounds like you are still down too. Ignore the status page that says everything is fine - it lies.

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

I had recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and thus had to re download Adobe Digital Editions. I downloaded Version 4.0 but the problem seemed to be with the authorization between the e-reader and the computer. While in ADE click the help button and click erase authorization then re do your user id and password. It worked for me.
