The Browser is defaulting to the Persona Selection as opposed to normal use, how do I fix?

The Firefox Browser selection is defaulting to Firefox Personas and I cannot search the net with Firefox. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still defaults to Personas Selection Page.

It is not clear what your problem is.
Is it the home page that is going to the Personas site? If that is the problem, you can set the home page back to the default, or to any other site, for details see [[how to set the home page]].
Do you have a Persona installed and want to remove it? If that is the case see [[using themes with Firefox]] for details of how to switch to the default theme, or any other theme.
If your problem is something else please give more details.

Library Bookmarks Import and Backup Backup defaults to saving on desktop instead of folder previously used -- How do I fix this

When I backup my bookmarks to a JSON file, I always do so to the same folder on my PC but the Save dialog defaults to saving on the desktop instead of to the folder previously used. This is profoundly unintelligent behaviour & extremely irritating, as it means I have to navigate through the folder tree every time I want to make a backup.
There seems to be no option to specify a backup location, either in the Options dialog or in about:config.
How can I tell Firefox either to remember the folder previously used or to default to a specified folder, rather than to the desktop?

I don't think that there is a way to remember the last used location for creating a backup in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)
Note that Firefox creates an automatic JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder in the Firefox profile folder every day when you start Firefox.

Can't select menu items in top 25% of the browser window much of the time.

Running Windows 7 Pro on a new (2-months) HP Ultrabook with FF 15.0.1. Many times, selectable items do not work, but generally in the top 20-30% of the browser window. With the pointer hovering over selections, it does not change to indicate is a selectable item, nor will it let you select. It happens on well-known websites such as Yahoo!, HP, etc. It doesn't do this all the time, but I'd say at least 50% of the time, even if you reload the page and allow all sites with NoScript. There is no filtering warning.

That problem can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

How to display new scene on top of the browser as default

I have a flash animation with 15 scenes, On main page there are many links and user has to browse vertically using browser scrollbar, when a user clicks on a link which is at the bottom and goes to that page the position of scrollbar is same as that was on main page (scene), I want the new scene to be opened at top of the browser as default.

then you'll need to use javascript to control the scrollbar.
if you don't know how to do that, post the code you're using in your flash button.

Looking into this rpt the way for the much-talked 'default.css' you see in the internet research.

Why does the backspace key now make the browser go back to the last page viewed, and how can I change that setting?

When typing in a browser page to reply to a blog, when I pressed the backspace key to correct a typo, suddenly the browser went back to the previous web page. How can this setting be changed or turned off?

This should never happen when the cursor is in an editing control, but it has always done that if the focus was on the page itself.
Here's how to change it:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box that appears above the list, type or paste '''backs''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.backspace_action''' preference and enter the desired value:
* 0 => back (default)
* 1 => page up
* 2 => ignore (actually, anything other than 0 or 1 does nothing)

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

My pictures send through iMessage only to certain people. And others the message is saying " delivered" but the person on the other end isn't getting any of my picture messages and sometimes regular iMessages with no pictures.

I was sure this curse was an Android feature since I had it constantly with my Nexus phones for the last two years, but sure enough it affects iOS8 too. Turn off wireless and and your MMS will go out fine over cellular ever time (in my experience anyway). Ridiculous, right?
