The buttons wont work

About a month ago, my ipod was working just fine, but then when I tried to turn it on it didnt turn on. I then went to go update my songs from itunes and it turned on like normal, so after I updated and put my earphones in and tried to play it, the ipod wouldnt do anything. I believe the buttons aren't responding to my actions. So there is no way for me to reset because the buttons arent responding. So today I charge my ipod after about a month and its giving me the sad face icon and then it has given me the battery icon, but its stuck at the 1/4 charge. I am so confused what to do and want to make sure I do everything before I invest in a new. Is there anything I can do about my problem

  • Button wont work after Swipe

    Hello everybody,
    I have this script to scroll a movieclip on Ipad:
    import fl.transitions.Tween;
    import fl.transitions.easing.*;
    text_asco.addEventListener(TransformGestureEvent.GESTURE_SWIPE, onSwipe8);
    function onSwipe8 (e:TransformGestureEvent):void{
    if (e.offsetY == 1) {
    if(text_asco.y <= 100){
    var RightTween:Tween = new Tween(text_asco, "y", Regular.easeOut, text_asco.y, text_asco.y+200, 0.5, true);
    if (e.offsetY == -1) {
    var LeftTween:Tween = new Tween(text_asco, "y", Regular.easeOut, text_asco.y, text_asco.y-200, 0.5, true);
    And then I have some buttons that moves in Timeline, so if the user press chapter one in a menu then it jumps on the timeline so the scrollable movieclip is place at chapter one. But my problem is that when I have used the Swipe gesture the buttons wont work anymore.
    This is my code for ons of the button:
    a.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, a_Click, false, 0, true);
    function a_Click(event:MouseEvent) { gotoAndStop("asco");
    WHAT IS WRONG???

    I do not think it's the software. It may be a keyboard problem in which case the post about resetting PRAM should fix it.
    In the meantime, you can (or should be able to) reject the disk using the Terminal.
    Here's a link to a page with a few Terminal commands to eject the DVD.
    They work for me.
    http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20041011075232575
    If you can eject the DVD from the Terminal, then it's most likely not the software.
    Here's the one I like:
    Enabling an Eject menu As a side note, you can enable another means of ejecting disks by opening the folder System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras and double-clicking the file "Eject.menu". An eject icon will appear in the menubar that can be used to close and open selected optical drives.

  • My iphone is stuck on the settings screen but the home button and lock and power buttons wont work. I can navigate through my settings but can't get out of them or turn off my phone.

    My iphone is stuck on the settings screen and the home and lock buttons wont work. I can navigate through the settings but canot go home or turn orr or reset my phone. Please help):

    I had the same situation with my iPod touch 5th gen. You can manually reboot it thru pressing sleep/wake button and holding it up to 10 secs - no data will be lost.. This didn't work in mine, but to some it did..
    If it won't work, you could do what I did which is I reset all settings in the Reset part. It won't lose any data, just the settings (if you have just less settings did to the device, which I had). So just configure or tweak things again in the settings when it reset again.
    Hope this somehow helps!

    Within the warranty period, unless the failure was caused by accidental damage it will be replaced for free.

  • My screen is frozen and the home and off buttons wont work. what should i do?

    What do you do if your iPad screen freezes and it wont do anything? Home and off buttona wont work!

    Have you tried both together for a Reset? Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank and then power ON again in the normal way.] It is app and data safe!
    Failing that see here for unresponsive iPads - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281

    Try restoring the iPod to rule out a software problem. First restore from backup and then to factory defaults/new iPod.
    Then an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Hi all,
    I have a problem with my L500-128 Satellite.
    After upgrading Windows Vista(64bit) to Windows 7 home(64bit) my FN button wont work anymore.
    I installed the Toshiba Value Added Package and Flash Cards supports utility and it still doesnt work.
    Hope to hear from someone soon^^.
    Jeremy

    Try with Start > All programs > Toshiba > Utilities > Restart Flash Cards.

  • I can listen to music but my silent switch wont work my phone wont vibrate but will ring, and the volume buttons wont work on my iPhone 4

    i can listen to music but my silent switch wont work my phone wont vibrate but will ring, and the volume buttons wont work the speaker will work asweell

    Have you done a restore of the phone to see if that fixed the problem with the speaker? If that doesnt help then you probably damaged something inside the phone when you dropped it.
    If you're annoyed by the problem, you can always get a replacement phone

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings if you can
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    PLEASEE HELP I Drop My Ipod Alot And Now It Wont Charge It Wont Show My Notifications Even Doe They Are On My Home Button Wont Work Just A few Times But Thats It.and when on my vine i doesnt let me hear my vines idk why

    You broke it, you will need to get it serviced or replaced. The drop voided your warranty so you would have to do an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple.
    Please don't type in headline style, i.e. capitalizing every word.

    Very likely it is a hardware issue (exactly same as mine). I am afraid to say that you need to send it for repairing. You will get a replacement if your iPod mini still under the warranty

        Good morning, jcmorgan17. Thanks for trying all the suggestions from your fellow customers. I'm confident that if you made it into the store, their hands-on evaluation was able to help determine if the phone needed to be replaced through your warranty http://vz.to/uyYF0o or if there may have been some prior damage and insurance http://bit.ly/07CrqPK or other replacement options were needed. I‘d be amazed if you could even FIND a working 1 Gen iPod Mini, let alone actually purchase one.
    i now know why they dicontinued it
    Because it was re-engineered in to the 2G Mini?

    Well, duh?!?
    You tore it apart an dremoved & replaced bits an pieces. Even if the warranty time frame was still good, your actions would have voided it completely.
    You can try www.ipodresq.com or google “iPod repair“.
