Look at this bug in the calculator (tried on 3 different iPhone 4)
Go to the calculator in scientific mode (tilt it horizzontally)
Type 0.1234^100 (^ stands for the "pow symbol")
Enjoy the result
(It's off exactly by 256 order of magnitude)

The right answer using some math must be around 1.3e-91
Making calculations on scratch paper, by mind:
log10(.1234) ~= -0.908
make the pow: 100*(-0.908) = -90.8 = -91+0.2
10^0.2 ~= 1.31
so my best guess without the calculator was 1.327e-91, while the actual result is 1.353e-91.

Contact Apple and inform them you have AppleCare +. If your phone is working correctly they may or may not replace it, only they can anwer that question.

If you didn't back up the phone to iCloud or iTunes (on your computer) BEFORE attempting the update, the data will be lost.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

IOS 7.0.3 Calendar has DST Bug - at least for US CT

Informational -- I awoke this am to find a bug with iOS 7.0.3 DST calendar display. It was discovered a week ago when Europe went to standard time. It impacts phones in Central Time (Chicago) but not ET. Don't know about other zones.
Phone alarms and appointment times are correct, but the red line that indicates current time on the standard calendar view is one hour off. Impacts Calendars 5 too, I guess they call same API.
Very annoying. Apple Insider and Lifehacker wrote about it last week.
I can think of ways Apple could spend some of their billions.

I noticed that on my phone today (4s) and my son's (5s). The Red line indicates the correct time, but the location on the day view of the calendar is incorrect. I've reported this via Apple feedback, maybe you could do the same. www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.

If your iPhone is restarting unexpectedly after updating the iOS software, start with step 5 in this troubleshooting guide:

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

Overridable calculations...bug?

Has anyone been able to implement a field that is calculated, but can be
overridden? I have created a numeric field that calculates a value
based on two other fields. I then selected the field type to be
"Calculated - User Can Override". The calculations occur successfully,
however, if I attempt to override the calculated value, as soon as I
exit the field it replaces the typed-in value with the calculated value
again.
I have also trying experimenting with different values for the
'override' property on the Calculate object in the XML source, but
nothing seems to change the behavior. It doesn't appear to be behaving
the way the XFA Specification says it should.
Is this a bug? Is there any other way to allow overrides of calculations?

What Ricardo is suggesting is a workaround to the Acrobat 7.x bug where a field whose value is calculated yet overridable cannot, in fact, be overridden in the way XFA specifies that one should be able to do.
When you set a field's Value Type to "Calculated - User Can Override" (using the Value tab in the Object palette), that's supposed to define a field with a calculated value (via script) which the user can opt to override with a specific value that, once entered into the field, shouldn't change.
The problem is that while Acrobat 7.x lets you override the calculation by entering a number in the field, once you press Enter or click away to commit the override, it's completely ignored and subsequent calculations use the calculated value from the script instead of the value that was specified as the override.
Using Ricardo's workaround, you can achieve the desired functionality without having to wait for a bug fix in Acrobat 8.0. Essentially, Ricardo's workaround is using a hidden check box to determine whether the calculation has been overridden. When the user enters a value, it's considered an override and the check box's value is set to 1. Then, when calculations are run on the form, the field's calculation script first checks to see if the check box's value is 1. If it is, it just uses the value already entered into the field. Otherwise, it uses the default script.

Reader 9 has a bug, Reader X is a step backward.

I upgraded to X because the latest reader 9 wasn't highlighting search / find terms consistently. Now with X, not only does it superficially look like a older version of reader, the toolbar customization is difficult, limited, and the search / find box is gone unless you hit the find button (or ctrl + F or apple + F). I use this feature all the time in writing scientific publications where I have to find a key word quickly when I'm reviewing articles and its very handy to just have the search bar on the toolbar. It just seems like this version has less features and versatility than the last. But the last has a bug, so I'm left with two less-than-optimal PDF viewers instead. Sure the some of the new features are going to be nice with X, but overall I think they took a step backwards with this new version, and should have fixed the bug from 9.4.5 first.

Okay, the iTunes 8.2 bug that I had on my iPod Touch is back with my iPhone

I have new iPhone 3GS that I picked up this morning at 7 am. I love it, but the iTunes 8.2 bug that is being thoroughly discussed in the iPod Touch forum is back and affecting my iPhone 3GS. I did read one random post that a Apple Tech Support person said to unplug the internet (disconnect your internet) before plugging it in. I don't know why, but it worked and makes me wonder if this will also work for iPod Touch users. Weird, but it is definitely a nice work around for now!

I got it again. I plug in the iPhone into my computer and it is telling that it thinks it is a camera because it is trying to launch Canon CameraWindow, MS scanner, Picasa3, etc. Then iTunes says, "An iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please, disconnect and reconnect the iPhone, then try again." Yes, I tried again, and completely uninstalled iTunes and all things Apple to only re-install it. I am at my whits end again!

I cannot backup my iPhone 4 to iTunes because it says the device has been disconnected during "Step 5" (syncing purchases) but my phone is still connected. iTunes is up to date, I don't want to install iOS 6.0.1 until I backup my phone (when I installed iOS 6, I lost everything and had to restore to previous backup. Would hate to not have a more current backup and lose everything again). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and still the same problem. Please help!

You have to delete the corrupt back-up so iTunes can at least back-up the current data on the iPhone and then restore it. Search these forums, there a several good posts on how to delete the corrupt back-up.

By "Bounces up and Down", do you mean this:
The content of the screen drops down and about a third of the top of the screen is blank.
When you press the home button or any icon, the content moves back to the top of the screen.
If this is what you are seeing, it is intentional. It is meant as a way for you to be able to easily reach the icons at the top row of the screen.
Double tap the home button. Do not press the button, just lightly tap it.
All the content should drop down.
Pressing the home button or any icon will shift the content back up again.
This is a new feature designed for the larger screens in the 6 and 6+.

Yeah, sad to hear of your accident:
If you dropped it on concrete- that is the hardest material and chance of damage goes up tremedously. Actually you are fortunate not to have mobile insurance because then you have to trust your insurance provider to provide you with a quality replacement or repair.
Apple is always spot-on you know what you're getting. They can always attempt to replace JUST the display on an iPhone 5 for $149 + tax is what I've heard them quote others. But they said it's $229 to replace your phone with another whole new iPhone 5. Get the AppleCare+ because two of these incidents will only cost you $49 + tax in the future!
