The caller / Called Person cannot hear me properly

Hello All....
I just got an unlocked BB 8110 from the US (T-Mobile) as a gift and have BB services from my service provider Vodafone (India). However I seem to have run into a problem which I believe is an issue with most 8110.
The caller cannot hear me properly and Vice-Versa. I have to speak out load for the other person to hear me and that too feebly. Is there a fix around that can be done on the phone itself. I make sure that my fingers are not blocking the microphone. Help me please as this is becoming very frustrating for me and the caller.
Regards
Rajat

Try this - when device is ON, remove the battery, wait a minute and turn the battery back to the device.
If this does not help - try the step #2
Make selective backup as it is explained here:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8100&view=by_date_ascending&message.i...
After that do the wipe of the device memory. On the device go to Options - Security Options - General Settings
Open menu and select "Wipe handheld"
Check the device and restore data from backup.
If it also does not help - then most probably there is a defect in your device.
Take it to a repair shop for diagnostics.

  • HT204387 When I connect my Iphone 5C to Blue tooth it gets connected but only I can hear incoming voice. The called party cannot hear my voice. may i have the solution please.

I have just bought this expensive phone. I tried connecting to Bluetooth car kit. It gets connected but only incoming voice can be heard. No voice goes out from Iphone.
I also tried connecting to Samsung Bluetooth but the problem is same. There is only in coming communication and no out going.. But both the Blue tooth devices works fine with my Samsung SII.
A working solution help will be very juch appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem. I had a plantronics 975 (which I lost, sadly). When connected, the ringer would always be routed through the bluetooth and the iPhone's external speaker. When in silent mode, the iPhone would only vibrate, but I could still hear the ringer in the bluetooth.
I just bought a new Plantronics Voyager+. Now when it's connected, all sounds are routed to the earpiece - including the taps, etc. The iPhone's speaker doesn't ring at all, unless the bluetooth is disconnected or powered off. I'd really like to be able to hear both, like I was before. This is an iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (latest version, not sure what it is exactly). Haven't updated software/firmware in between bluetooths, just changed the earpiece.

I am curious if possibly the hotel has some sort of VOIP block on.  Have you tried Skype?  Did you talk to the hotel staff?  My husband is traveling to Milan in a couple of days and I wonder if he will run into the same issue.  He has had no problems from Istanbul but he is staying in a corporate apartment there.  If you find an answer please post back.  Thanks

I need help with my iPhone 5 I'm hearing perfectly but the person receiving the call is not hearing me at all. Can anyone help. Thanks

You can call your carrier for troubleshooting but ultimatly this is common with the Iphone 5 and you will end up needing a warranty replacement.

Yes, I think most of us do understand what open source software is. It sounds as if you don't. Here's some information:
Open-source software (OSS) is computer software that is available in source code form: the source code and certain other rights normally reserved forcopyright holders are provided under an open-source license that permits users to study, change, improve and at times also to distribute the software.
Open source software is very often developed in a public, collaborative manner. Open-source software is the most prominent example of open-sourcedevelopment and often compared to (technically defined) user-generated content or (legally defined) open content movements.

Yes, Tom Wu of Stanford wrote a paper on something called Secure Remote Access Protocol. It's a form of Asymetric Key Exchange and has nothing to do with hacking anything. It's actually intended to protect data.

  • IPhone 4: I can hear the caller but the caller can't hear me??

It happens after a second or two on the phone the caller can't hear me but I can hear them fine. And sometimes they can hear me but my voice warped or crackly? then when I try to ring them back they can't hear me at all. Anyone else with the same problem???

For me the problem occurs on outgoing calls.
The person I am calling can not hear me. I hang up and call again and they can hear me.
Issue occurs randomly approximately 1 out of every 4 calls.
I'm using an iphone 3GS with IOS 4.3.3 installed using Optus network (Australia).
When the issue occurs the person at the other end cannot hear anything no matter how loudly I yell into the microphone. I'm not accidentally putting the phone on mute because it is not indicated on the phone that I have and it does not matter whether I am using the microphone headset or not. I'm getting sick of having to apologise to my customers for my phone not working properly.
I tried replacing my iphone 3GS with another iphone 3GS, restored it from my backup and using my original SIM card. Problem still occurs.
Since replacing the iphone did not resolve the problem it must be related to IOS, SIM card or cell carrier.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

ATA bus error means that data corruption occurred during transmission over ATA bus (SATA or PATA). This type of errors can be indicated by
ICRC or ABRT error as described in the section called “ATA/ATAPI device error (non-NCQ / non-CHECK CONDITION)”.
Controller-specific error completion with error information indicating transmission error.
On some controllers, command timeout. In this case, there may be a mechanism to determine that the timeout is due to transmission error.
Unknown/random errors, timeouts and all sorts of weirdities.
As described above, transmission errors can cause wide variety of symptoms ranging from device ICRC error to random device lockup, and, for many cases, there is no way to tell if an error condition is due to transmission error or not; therefore, it's necessary to employ some kind of heuristic when dealing with errors and timeouts. For example, encountering repetitive ABRT errors for known supported command is likely to indicate ATA bus error.
Once it's determined that ATA bus errors have possibly occurred, lowering ATA bus transmission speed is one of actions which may alleviate the problem.
I'd also add; make sure you have good backups when ATA errors are frequent

When I make a call I cannot hear anyone talking. But they can hear me?

    Hey there mahmoud.qaadan,
It sounds like you are making calls or receiving them but the other party cannot hear you even though the microphones work in other apps on your phone. I would start by quitting all the running apps on your device:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that and restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If it persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes with this article:
iOS: How to back up and restore your content
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
And restore it from your backup with this article:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,

  • Hello, I have bought an iphone two weeks ago. Now I have a big problem. Whenever I receive a phone call, the caller could not heare me only when I switch to the handsfree speakers phone. The same issue accurs, when I call somebody.

I have an iphone and whenever I receive a phone call, the caller could not hear me only when I switch to the hansfree speakers phone. the same issue occurs whenever I call somebody. Could anybody help me?

    Hi
You should ask your relative to physically take the iPhone to the store rather than shipping it because as diesel vdub has said:
"No Apple store will accept an iPhone shipped to them"
All you have to do is safely pack and ship your iPhone from the Philppines to your California-based relative.
    HTH?

  • TS1630 When I get a call, the caller can't hear me help?

Having probems with my iphone 4, when i get a call the caller can't hear me but i can hear them fine.
Can anyone help with this problem?

Have you tried a power off/on to see if that clears the problem?
Did you try a reset, hold the sleep/power button and home button for at least ten seconds?
If nothing is working to reset the phone, can you get to an Apple Retail store genius bar and have the staff take a look at it to see if something has failed?
