The camera shutter on Iphone 5 won't open
The camera shutter on my Iphone 5 won't open. It did at first and I successfully took 5 pictures and even posted them. But then it just stopped. other forums say I need to get a replacement but I'm hoping that isn't the case. I've tried the turning it off and turning it on etc. but nothing seems to help... any thoughts?

I had the same problem, and it happened within the first 2 weeks of purchasing the ipod. I had tried everything, including resetting it, restoring it, putting the app on the second homescreen, and trying other camera apps. Nothing worked. What I did was fill out a service request form on this website, and since it doesn't actually have anything for the camera, I submitted it under blank black screen and wrote about the camera problem in the notes area.
I sent it out UPS (you won't have to pay, UPS knows the address and procedure well) on a Saturday, and got a brand new one sent to me and in my hands by Wednesday.
If you send yours out, you'll want to back up all your apps and music etc on your computer before sending it, you will not get the same ipod back.
But it was quick and worth it.

The Camera on my E71x won't open.
Yesterday i got my new Nokia E71x. I really liked it and all of it's features until i tried to open the camera and it refused to. Every time i go to open it, i get a message saying: Camera in use by another application. I don't know if this is just a little thing that i don't know how to fix, or a serious problem. I've looked up how fix this is the user guide and in the help menu on the phone. niether of them had any information supporting my problem. any help is much appreciated.

Go to Solution.I've had a nokia as my primary phone for the better part of a decade and the E71x is my first smart phone. I've only had it a matter of days, but I've found the same problems with the camera as described above. I've found two ways to fix/avoid the problem.
First: Just turn the phone off and restart. In other words, all applications using the camera are terminated.
Second: This is where I believe the problem is. The phone was designed to multitask. If you hold the home (house button) down you can toggle between open applications. This is much like holding alt and pushing the tab button on a standard windows pc. The inherent problem is that the camera function WHEN CLOSED IMPROPERLY is no longer accessible or recognized by the firmware. In other words, if you just push the red/'end call' button to exit your camera session you will run into this problem. The SOLUTION is that you MUST exit the camera operation EACH TIME. Note: If you start using your 'multitask' button you will find how this applies to all the programs we're used to on nokia phones. So, as annoying as it is, while you are in the OPERATIONAL camera mode, push your soft left button (topmost left) to access the options menu. Select your options and scroll to exit. If you EXIT THE CAMERA MODE PROPERLY the phone will no longer consider it a running program. THIS IS A GLITCH. In the end it is a good habit to terminate programs that are not in use, but the problem with the camera access is testiment to firmware problems that we are more than likely not going to see a fix for. This is a good phone and I've never been unsatisfied with owning a nokia, but this particular problem seems like an oversight in firmware. With proper application closing in mind, you should never run into any major problems with this phone. But like I've said, I've only had it a matter of days. -

The camera on my iPhon 4s is not working correctly. It is colored all strange and the shutter keeps opening and closing trying to fix the problem but it cant. I have already reset my phone and turned it off and on again. How do I fix this??
If resetting the camera app doesn't work you can try restoring your iPhone's software. The entire process takes about an hour to an hour and a half. Make sure you do a backup. Make sure you do a backup.

Yes it can .Take it to an Apple Genius bar and they will exchange it for a factory refurbished unit ,in exchange for $149 -

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
The next step would be to restore the iphone as new in iTunes. If that doesn't work, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple Store.

pls help my iphone 4 was on activation "required". i jailbroke it then it worked but some of the applications were crashing down,won't open. i tried a lot of tutorials and then error message 3194 came out. stucked in recovery mode,and then i use snowbreeze and then it worked!!!! but another problem came, i turned off my iphone then i switched it on again then it stucked in apple logo,.after doing some thing again 1604, 1600 bla bla bla came out..pls help me fix my iphone.

Why won't the camera on my iPhone open?
So whenever I try to open the camera app on my iPhone my phone screen restarts with a white page with the apple in the middle of it. The camera just won't open at all. When I use snapchat I can only take pictures from the front of the phone and not the camera in the back of the phone. In fact, snapchat won't even let me flip the camera around to use the camera on the back.

Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.

If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping (camera swap icon). If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

How to get the camera shutter sound off on iphone 6?
Since iPhone 6, I can't get the camera shutter sound off by switching the silent button off.
There are no setting options available either?
I bought my phone in Japan. May be it is a local requirement.

I know some countries don't allow the camera shutter sound to be disabled, but I'm not sure if the U.S. is one of those countries. Is it? If not, can someone tell me how to disable it please?

Why does the camera shutter stay stuck? The camera won't operate. I've rebooted several times, I've changed settings several times, I've held by finger over each camera as demostrated on a youtube video. Nothing has corrected the problem.
